Guest rockstarszzzz Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Am I feeling a bit put off by your statement?!... :) Naaaah... not really! If I find it, I'll tell you about it. Still, I have to decide which one of them to install...... I doubt you will find it that quick

Did you wipe Dalvik before installing the .zip? Also, Join contacts - I thought wasn't working well on the GSFB9 - so if that's not fixed, it might be an issue. However, try Dalvik wipe if you haven't already done so, and if you still get it, post the screen and will have a look :)
Guest rockstarszzzz Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) Anyone else having problem downloading rockstarzzz themes ? Would someone be able to upload the Mega theme here, please? Is 4shared not letting you download it? I tried it right now, and it worked OK for me. May be server load? But please feel free to mirror wherever needed. Edited July 4, 2011 by rockstarszzzz

Andy9876 Hi Andy, I thought that would be an issue and hence din't replace the icons in status bar for lite, pro and supreme. But then created Mega with actual honeycomb icons. If you want stock 'grey' icons and the rest of it as it is - then please try Supreme. It's got stock icons :)

Guest api32 Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 how do i go about installing this? (the updated colour setting menu bit) Color settings install: copied from SD rootexplorer then copy the system / app folder, overwriting the players already there, then reboot OR (This proved more) recovery menu and install http://www.multiupload.com/1MYYF9P0MY ColorSetting_update.zip

Guest pmmct Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 rockstarszzzz, Has anyone upated "Widget Picker" to B9, or is this one of those which don't mess the framework up? Btw, will upgrade to B9 tonight... or by tomorrow morning, at the very latest, and will then proceed to install your theme (mega version) :)
Guest k0zmic Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 The App Widget Picker doesn't touch the framework. It's just a standard .apk that needs to be in /system.

Guest k0zmic Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 :) perfect! Proceeding to install!... Thanks k0zmic! Put in /system/app BTW not just /system and check the permissions too, forgot to mention those details.
Guest pmmct Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Put in /system/app BTW not just /system and check the permissions too, forgot to mention those details. Well, I would... if I could! Am I supposed to use any app besides the original File Manager? Mine says it can't move the file to /system/app... :)
Guest Yuccaman Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Color settings install: copied from SD rootexplorer then copy the system / app folder, overwriting the players already there, then reboot OR (This proved more) recovery menu and install http://www.multiupload.com/1MYYF9P0MY ColorSetting_update.zip Trying the script but no change to the icon colours in settings for me.... I'm gonna either look clever or foolish now, based on my not too much knowledge of the update scripts, but in the zip, the Settings.apk is in /system/app. As the update script has 'package_extract_dir("app", "/system/app")', shouldn't the Settings.apk just be in /app in the zip ?
Guest k0zmic Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Well, I would... if I could! Am I supposed to use any app besides the original File Manager? Mine says it can't move the file to /system/app... :) ES File Explorer in root mode or Root Explorer.
Guest Yuccaman Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Well, I would... if I could! Am I supposed to use any app besides the original File Manager? Mine says it can't move the file to /system/app... :) you need an App with the ability to place stuff in system which probably also means mounting the system as Read Write.... I use a combination of AntTek Explorer and Remount to do this. I prefer to do these updates via a Clockwork Mod ZIP file which is linked to in posts above. However, I don't think it works unless you move the Settings.apk from /system/app to just /app

Ok, thought I'd have ago and move the Settings.apk from /system/app to just /app and reflashed and I now have shiny new colour icons - Many thanks for the file api32 !!!!
Guest pmmct Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 ES File Explorer in root mode or Root Explorer. ES did the job, thank you k0zmic! And thanks Yuccaman, the mounting as writable was indeed needed. :) cool, and there was no need to reboot!
