Guest yug0 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Well, I have created a channel1.nvm with the correct IMEI in it, but I really would rather not go through switching back to a stock GEN1 ROM, restoring the IMEI, reflashing the correct IMEI, reloading ginger stir fry and hoping that it has the correct IMEI. Is there a way of editing the IMEI in situ with the current ginger stir fry rom? Yeah you don't have to go back to gen1, you do have to change recovery partition from clockwork back to stock though. There is a link containing the gen2 stock in the thread, you can use fastboot to do this, just make sure image file from earlier isn't still on sd card. It might be best to backup current channel1.nvm using tool, edit it with your own at either 1105 or 1215 depending where the temp one is. Make sure you have imei in correct format e.g 365.. will become 3A, 56

The battery life is really good with Ginger Stir Fry: I ran it with medium use for 24 hours (from a battery at below 100%) with the wifi continually on. Far better than I ever got with CM7. This isn't scintific, obviously, but it is certainly better. Thanks again to all who helped, especially yug0. the punter
