Guest TIM_ROX_UR_SOX
I have a factory unlocked liquid e and I have been using it with Rogers(Canada) for a few months. I attempted to switch to bell but when I put in the activated SIM card it asked for a SIM network unlock PIN?!!?! I tried 10 times having no idea what the hell was wrong with it and it locked the sim asking me to call a service center. I angrily put my Rogers SIM back into the phone and it wanted a SIM unlock PIN aswell!??! am I locked to NO CARRIER?!? I have tried to unlock with the method here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f606/acer-...orking-1092894/ and nothing; still asked for the PIN. Does anyone have any idea what to do? I cant buy an Unlock code because I have no idea what carrier I am locked to (if I am locked to one?)
Guest Dario93
You could try to play with acer tool and .qcn files, but this will change your IMEI,and that's illegal AFAIK :S However I never performed this operation so I can't help very much. If that's the only option I have in the end then I will learn about and try your method. as of now I am looking around for sites that will provide an unlock code without knowing the Carrier. So far simunlocking.com doesn't require one.
