Guest vulpy Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Thank you for the prompt reply, my bad, I missed this part... looking forward to the prebaked version (actually I may even apply for the premium membership just for getting it sooner)! Appreciate your work. Vulpy I explained why in the first post. I also added... A prebake will follow ASAP! P
Guest jambezuk Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Ok, first off… THANKS! I converted back to EXT3 wiped and flashed, so far so good.First boot took a while (but that’s expected so no problem). I have the 622baseband (regular one) seems to work fine, not completely sure which BB yourecommend. Two things I’ve noticed: Firstly, the HOME and SEARCH buttons do not do anything. Thephone gives a gentle buzz when they are touched but nothing actually happens! Secondly, when trying to add a wifi network (having used thenotification shortcut) the password window closes before I have chance to enterthe password. Going to rebake as I missed a few things off so will see if that helps. Feels dead fast though :) James
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Hmmz, what would be the correct way of upgrading from 2.2.2 to this one? (I also have older RIL and all...) Edit I have V10C or something, together with FR19 and Baseband: 1035.21_20110622 Edited September 28, 2011 by c.joenie

Guest Paul Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Hmmz, what would be the correct way of upgrading from 2.2.2 to this one? (I also have older RIL and all...) Flash the GB baseband as per the baseband post, then flash this via ClockworkMod (wipe recommended). P

Guest rmein Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Ooooh Swisscom! I'm guessing this is a Swiss Leak then I'm having the same market issues with this as with other GB leaks - lots of missing or incompatible apps in the market. I checked the uktvguide.co.uk app - missing NOVA 2 - Missing GOF2 THD - It's there but says my device is incompatible. Sprinkle - It's there but says my device is incompatible.
Guest eagle1977 Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 WOW Great, thx Paul! GPS works fine (fix in few secounds - came from Austria), browser works good, fast and smooth. Guest kickasskev Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) I keep getting ''The application Android Keyboard (process com.google.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped umexpectedly) please try again'' Any way I can fix without downloading another rom??? EDIT Just read above 'i'll redownload Edited September 28, 2011 by kickasskev
Guest hackworks Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Thank you for bringing us this new ROM. The adventure in me has gone down and would like to use something stable and solid. A humble request, whatever you do, please retain the possibility to use EXT3 more like stock. If the formatting is decoupled from the ROM installation, that would help. The ROM can still mount EXT3 as EXT4 for those who do not want to format the partitions. If users decides to partition, then the EXT4 mount will support all EXT4 features.
Guest sQeeZ Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Thanks for this great rom Paul! Is it possible you could add "Circle battery" in the top bar? it's nice that it shows the percentage of battery left! And maybe add some from the LG UI 2.0, like icons and so on? Thanks Paul, take your time, you're the greatest!

Edit I have V10C or something, together with FR19 and Baseband: 1035.21_20110622 You don´t have to do something special, just bake your ROM and download it. After this, flash your ROM like you did this with your FR19 one. In detail: 1. Backup your actuell ROM with CWM and your Apps with Titanium Backup (or somthing else) 2. Reboot to Recovery 3. Wipe Data and Cache, wipe Dalvik Cache in advanced options. 4. Flash the Gr3-Rom 5. Reboot, can took a whlie. 6. Enjoy your new Gingerbread Optimus 2x ;-) If your new at flashing ROM´s, wait since Paul released a tested prebake version. @Paul Thanks for your great work :-)

I really don't understand why everyone is so fascinated with EXT4 anyway...

Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Home button not working anyone else??? Big killa cos if im stuck on an app I cant go no where Just installed, and home button is not working. This is after a few wipes. Paul, I think you missed my question: Is it possible to mount the external SD as the main SD card?
Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Does everyone have a swisscom shut-off screen?
Guest EasyWorld Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Did you wipe? I did NOT wipe and the home button is working just fine.
Guest orlroc Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 i think that the problem with home button is for who didn't complete the initial wizard install menu like for 20c......... try another wipe and now complete the wizard!

Sounds plausible, I didn't complete the wizard. Waiting for it to boot so I can do the wizard. EDIT: Yup, that did the trick. Edited September 28, 2011 by fabarati
