Guest orlroc Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Sounds plausible, I didn't complete the wizard. Waiting for it to boot so I can do the wizard. EDIT: Yup, that did the trick. Perfect..... how is the new rom??? i hope fast and without battery drain now!!!!
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) I cannot get Google Videotalk to work. Using 622 Gingerbread and latest version of pauls rom (18:15 edition) EDIT: I do have it online, but nobody can video-call or voicecall me and i can't voicecall/videocall them either... Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Perfect..... how is the new rom??? i hope fast and without battery drain now!!!! No idea about batterylife yet, but the stock android launcher is a bit laggy. I'll restore my apps and launcher pro and check again.
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Another thing: I cannot use the dutch language for the gingerbread keyboard?
Guest Ferrum Master Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) I can confirm that Neoblaze kernel is working... at least I've booted up and got network and wifi :) Everything is fine and dandy. Voodoo sound, OC, etc... it is a bit smoother than stock kernel using LG launcher. Edited September 28, 2011 by Ferrum Master
Guest kickasskev Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Fine here. Did you wipe? P Found it out its the 2 different launchers, LG launcher the home button works fine, it's the other launcher that aint working Edited September 28, 2011 by kickasskev
Guest imperticus Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Hi Paul, Is there significant difference between v20e and v20i? The kernel that is included, is it based on v10e sources? Edited September 28, 2011 by imperticus
Guest Paul Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Oops on the shutdown screen, will fix that tomorrow too! :o P
Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 As soon as I'm done transfering data, I'll check if the modified camera APK found on XDA work or not.
Guest Madsen Felipe Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Can i install the next builds without wipe?
Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Found it out its the 2 different launchers, LG launcher the home button works fine, it's the other launcher that aint working Works with android launcher, as long as you complete the wizard.
Guest Ferrum Master Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 I've baked the rom with stock Google Contacts / Phone Dialer applications. I have no join contacts option? Is it as it should be for vanilla GB?
Guest kickasskev Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Works with android launcher, as long as you complete the wizard. Ohhh i skipped it, can i redo the wizard???
Guest Peterfdevries Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Hey Paul, just wondering. Are the sqlite-patch and the performancepack already included? Or do they need to be rebuild for this gingerbreadversion? Wich RIL is included, the 823 or the 622-gb? Anyone got benchmarkscores? (for what it's worth ;) ) Grtz!
Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Ohhh i skipped it, can i redo the wizard??? I think you need to wipe.
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Can anybody confirm whether Google videotalk works for them? What am I doing wrong?
Guest mankian Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Can anyone let me know if or not the SMS app is showing the correct (time message was SENT) timestamp or still the incorrent (time message was received) timestamp? Thanks! Torn between Gr3 and Cm7 now! hate choices! lol
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Hey Paul, great job so far! I have been checking stuff out and: - I can't get the googletalk to work (nobody can call me/video-call me, if i want to videocall someone i quickly see a blackscreen appearing, disappearing again and it says "calling" but the guy at the other side says that he can't see any of that. and if i try to call myself via another adress, then i do not get a notification on the O2X that I am being called... EDIT: if i call myself, via another computer via another emailadres, it says "there's a network error" - I can't get the dutch language as an input language in the GB keyboard. - The simcard tools says "vodafone services" while i am using t-mobile - There's something odd with the market: many apps are not downloadable - Can you make some sort of setting that back-ups our settings@ Google (like CM has) - Can you enable the options to reboot and reboot into safe mode in our "exit-menu" - Can you include a high-definition camera option like the app on XDA-dev? - I found the strange "exit" screen "swiss-something", which you already reported :D That's it for now :). Other than the above: great job! I am really looking forward to the first thing ^^, hope you can get it fixed. Edited September 28, 2011 by c.joenie
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 SMS sent and receivetimes work for me :). I am using the NTP server to sync time...
Guest mankian Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 i mean the times on the incoming messages. on old phones the messages you receive will be timestamped with when the sender sent them. on android, it only says the time the phone received the message. for example. i switch my phone off at 8PM, someone texts me at 9PM i turn my phone on the next morning at 7AM. The phone says message was received at 7AM. Should say 9PM the night before like all other phones in the world... Have to point out this is an Android bug and not a modaco one!! I just wondered if it had been fixed in Gingerbread or not! (CM have it working but they probably hacked it to bits)
Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Ok, update on performance with Launcher Pro: Buttery smooth. No lag like the android launcher (even after I turned animations off). However, with the stock kernel, the phone will slow down when installing/updating apps. So there's that. Ok, time to test Modified cameras, Neoblaze kernels and mkv playback.
Guest c.joenie Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Sorry for spamming, but if it might help: the market does not recognise my device anymore, but calls it "t-mobile device"... While it says that a lot of apps are still installed on the LG Optimus P990 (which is the same device, but then prior to the upgrade)
Guest fabarati Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 (edited) Another update: 720p mkv works pretty well (some stuttering intially, but smooths out), AndiCP's modded camera works (higher bitrates) and Neoblaze Kernel works (only the ext3 version, not the ext4 version). Camera mod http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1268622 Neoblaze http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1200726 Edit: Quadrant score Edited September 28, 2011 by fabarati
Guest sQeeZ Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 I have problems with the LG Keyboard! The two letters on the right side of the keyboard doesn't! It two danish letters "æ,ø" right next to "L", normally I don't use a keyboard with these letters on it, but can choose other settings for this one! so whenever I press "æ" or "ø" it just types "L"!
Guest lucfig Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Hi, I would like to know if is possible to include this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739530 It is an auto toggle of 2G/3G when the screen goes off. And can be controled with tasker. Thanks
