I assume fastboot mode with vol+ at power on doesn't work either?

Gingerbreak does not work.

I have not tried adb I did not have time to install it on my laptop

Also the free blade unlock calculator does not work either.

looks like rooting this is going to be a problem, i guess most rootkits so far have been for 2.1 not 2.3, what about Universal Androot?

Just pull all the partitions with QPST (Download mode - Likely hold on both volume buttons).

Thenuse the v880 tool to flash the modified boot.img if you are careful.

Cannot see how its likely to be a real problem in any sense of the word.

(Compared to motorola bootloaders / HTC bravo 1.02.001 etc).

I will buy it a soon as theres a way to unlock it cos i dont get 3g where i live on orange. currently using zte blade, AWESOME phone. hope the SKATE is better :D hope someone creates an algorythm soon and i hope someone gets it rooted too :)

universal androot doesnt work with my zte blade with android 2.3.5 so i dont think it will work with the monte carlo (SKATE)
