Guest MCAlex Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 Uhm, I've not seen something sms-related reason.. You: -had a working wifi -had a usb connection with sdcard mounting -had some succesful conversations -pushed power button once and your device signalised for a new message -accesed firewall setting(or a system, dunno) So, if you always in that mode of life, just use another rom :D Ok, good :D By the way I'm wiping caches and other, then I'll reflash the rom :) OT: Do you know when the new stable will be released?
Guest Lens_flare Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 In the next month I think.
Guest MCAlex Posted September 24, 2011 Report Posted September 24, 2011 In the next month I think. Ok thank u

If I try to mount my sd from the MIUI it won't work Short summary of bugs I encountered upto now: - SD does not mount - Reboot while typing SMS - Reboot does not work well Edited September 24, 2011 by MCAlex

Guest AcerFerrari Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Lens, someone's going to take over you! Seems that MIUI will be continued on our Liquid! (Don't be jealous xdd) btw I really appreciate your work. Sometime later i might donate to you mate!
Guest Lens_flare Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Lens, someone's going to take over you! You know, that "someone", has been porting MIUI for a long time.. Edited September 25, 2011 by Lens_flare
Guest AcerFerrari Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 You know, that "someone", has been porting MIUI for a long time.. You know, I'm just kiddding~~~ But honestly, is he the one who posted the ROM onto MIUI ROM Downloader
Guest Lens_flare Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 MIUI rom dloader is MIUI Italia project, I don't know who dload that releases, but I have account on it(so that I provided rom to them when I can)
Guest zorginho Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Where can I find English language pack for 1.9.23? just download the n1 eng pack and delete the build.prop from inside, then flash it. EDIT: (hmmm the standalone eng packs aren't released anymore). so u can download the ita pack from here: http://download.nexu...ck-1-signed.zip then go in settings and change the language to eng. Edited September 25, 2011 by zorginho
Guest Lens_flare Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) FYI Nexus one english language pack does not exist :D There is only full rom that need to be ported :P Edited September 25, 2011 by Lens_flare
Guest Auxx Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I've disabled JIT - feels better now. JIT trades CPU performance for memory (in Android implementation).
Guest Ma7moud Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I've disabled JIT - feels better now. JIT trades CPU performance for memory (in Android implementation). how did you disable JIT ?
Guest MoNzAi1988 Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 i cant dl apps for around 40mb in stock market, it say my phone memory not enuf, but i check my intenal memory and sd card was enuff, how to fix this?
Guest Ma7moud Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 i'm using 1.8.12 and the brightness slider in the camera app doesn't change the brightness at all, and all the pictures i take are dark, is there a fix for that, or is it working in newer versions ?
Guest Ma7moud Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 in new versions it works i guess i have to update then i hope the battery drain isn't bad on the newest version
Guest Auxx Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 how did you disable JIT ? Through A2SD GUI.
Guest MCAlex Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 I know it's OT, but a month ago I partitioned my SD into 256MB swap + 1,66GB Fat32. Now I'd like to have a SD with 2GB full fat32 :D is it possible? should I use repair sd with malezrecovery to do so? thank u!
Guest siggey Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 In malez you have to repartition your sd and when asked set swap partition to 0. remember, all the data on sd will be lost
Guest skittleys Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 (edited) Some of the instructions for flashing this specific ROM are confusing me, and I'm hoping to get them clarified before I try flashing it! and bricking my phone! This is the first time I'll be flashing a custom ROM, so I'm quite paranoid. I read through the guide in the "Ultimate" thread, and several other non-Acer specific guides from blogs etc., but there seem to be a couple of differences here. What does it mean by "possible nowipe feature"? The word possible is ambiguous enough, but I'm not clear on what nowipe might mean. Its generally recommended to do a full factory reset, wiping apps, dalvik, SD, etc. Does nowipe mean that I can ignore all of these? I understand that this Lens_flare edition was based on Phoenix's ROM. So, what's different? And should I just go with Phoenix's version since this one won't be updated anymore? I'm also confused by the version numbering. How can 1.9.16 be a beta but 2.3.5a is stable? That makes no sense! And the MIUI ROM downloader app shows there's also a 1.9.23 version. What???? Thanks for any help you can give! Edited September 30, 2011 by skittleys
Guest Lens_flare Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 Nowipe means that you don't have to wipe all when you are migrating from older miui version to newer incrementally. Differences from Phoenix's one are in features block. MIUI version number has [year].[month].[day] format for beta and equals android base version(plus "a" char) when name is for stable. MIUI rom dloader is not mine app, so that I don't upload roms to it. As far as I've closed my development for miui, they're uploading Phoenix's roms.
