Guest Paul Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 CM7 does just that, must be possible with Sammy's camera app? That would be a cool mod! :) P
Guest Paul Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 A fix for CRT effect is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16391601&postcount=99 Maybe Paul can introduce it on the next builds Good call, will do! P
Guest Paul Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 I've written a 'EFS Dumper' APK that I will post soon... sadly this won't help SwagR... I will also update the first post to reflect the important of having a EFS backup! P
Guest Paul Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Testing my BLN kernel now, should be online tomorrow if all goes well! P
Guest TheMathMan Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Good call, will do! P Excellent. Can't be doing with pulling the framework and decompiling. I'll wait for the next MCR.
Guest Androidlover287 Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 (edited) This may be weird but what is a EFS? i'm guessing it has something to do with the baseband? I found out what it did/was, disregard this. Edited August 14, 2011 by Androidlover287

Guest QLF Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 (edited) Any reason why i can't resize widgets within Touchwiz with this ROM? Also, the Samsung / stock Calendar widget isn't included, and my hacked Email.apk that removes the need for PIN lock on my work email no longer works for some reason. That's prob going to be annoying for a while :( Edited August 14, 2011 by QLF
Guest AlThePost Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Great work, Paul! I've enjoyed MCRs for the Hero and Desire Z so having one for the GS2 makes me all warm and fuzzy. :) Baked me an (almost) Samsung-free version using the stock app options and loving it. No issues at all.
Guest Pakatus Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Hi Paul, Another stuff it might be handy for the next MCR. Tried it on the Blade..and really spotted a difference there. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=981125

Guest Paul Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Update! Guest Paul Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Oh, and the new MCK kernel is running on 2.6.35.14. No huge changes, just looking to be super smooth and super reliable. :) P

Too soon to talk about battery life...just wondering..is the BLN flavoured kernel relies on Kernel Wakelocks or you made magic? PS: Still waiting really bad for the Mobile Data Toggle Button. :)

Guest Androidlover287 Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 (edited) How to install custom kernal?, it thought it was going to be a clockwork flash? Mediafire screwed up again, it's not a .zip file, btw Edited August 15, 2011 by Androidlover287
Guest Pakatus Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 How to install custom kernal?, it thought it was going to be a clockwork flash? Or with CMW (if you have it installed), or via Odin (Via PC).
Guest Paul Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 That's because it's not a zip. It's just the zImage. I'll put some CWM zips up in a bit, these are just 'expert' files for DD'ing. P
Guest cfhuk Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Ah perfection. Cheers Paul. Well worth buying ad-free for the kitchen. Anyone know if this works well with other kernels? i.e. Ninphetamine 2.0.5? I've not baked in an MCR kernel.

Guest kayceejayh Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 Hmmm just flashed with the BLN Kernel, and left the phone on my desk and noticed the screen is waking randomly.. I've not had any notifications. Anyone else seeing this? K
