Guest lesd Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 This has become a very inertesting, timbos idea of a seperate amp got my mind racing and I found this on ebay DIY audio for your MP3, MP4, Laptop or any application which USB power can support. Power Supply: DC 3.6v-5.5V, Output power: 3W +3 W SNR: 90dB Efficiency: >90% Size:24x15.5mm Hole Size: Pitch 20mm, Bore: 2mm What do you think? would it be ok wiring it to the headphone jack? What would be the advantage of wiring the new amp to the mainboard before the on-board amp? If its wired to the headphone jack the volume will be controlled by the vega. Its £4.30 inc. p+p i may buy 2 or 3 and have the loudest tablet in the world. This is what you really want :D
Guest dibbles Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) mysticus over at the tabletroms forum has looked at ordering some replacement speakers from here... http://veco.com.tw/ his post can be seen here... http://tabletroms.com/forums/vega-general-discussion/1990-i-fitted-new-speakers-i-got-laptop-2.html#post24586 (post #13) he has looked at these ones... Could anyone who feels qualified to give an opinion on those replacement speakers be kind enough to suggest whether they would be suitable as a replacement, or even better than the originals. If not would there be any of the others more suitable..? ...others can be seen here... http://veco.com.tw/ and then you need to select from the speakers 25x14 or any other from square speaker section. It seems the depth is limited to 7mm although I imagine the ones shown at 7.6mm or so in depth should not be an issue as I remember removing the originals and nothing some latitude with the depth dimension in how close the rear cover fitted. Thanks. Edited September 5, 2011 by dibbles
