Guest Peterzon99 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 also working on adding this in the next release All these issues seem to be quite minor ones. I think I'm going to try and make the skate an official cm device Hi! I installed your new rom, it works fine, except the proximity sensor. In changelog you wrote about proxymity calibration, but I couldn't calibrate it. It always writes "***Settings before calibration***", the proximity sensor data is empty and the screen douesn't switch off during telephoning. I have a ZTE Skate from hungarian T-Mobile and the proximity worked after calibration. What should I do to make it work?
Guest tilal6991 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 link2sd isn't working for me with the new cm7, I tried a couple of instals and several reboots but I get the same low space warning and the following message, I've gone back to my nandroid backup V2 untill Ext4 partition works.... Ext4? I think I forgot to include support for it in the kernel. Will fix.

Guest gaaradono Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Flashed it yedrerday and tested it. The least i can say is that you've done very good job. Everything is working well to me, but I have two Things you may improve. Sometimes wifi needs a reboot to work properly. I have to reboot about every 6h otherwise it's very laggy.
Guest Peterzon99 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 ok. Just click calibrate a few times. Reboot. An then calibrate again. Thanks for your answer! I tried this but didn't work. Always wrote the same: "Settings before calibration".
Guest Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Thanks for your answer! I tried this but didn't work. Always wrote the same: "Settings before calibration". You can calibrate with the dialer, but I cannot remember the code. Also,I think you need the zte dialer for it to work.
Guest C3C0 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) I am experiencing crash when accessing: CyanogenMod Settings / Lockscreen / Style options in com.cyanogenmod.cmparts and it only happens when using Slovak as my language Works OK when set to English. Haven't tried other languages so I am not sure if only Slovak causes problem. It was OK in version 2.0 also for Slovak. Nice ROM, by the way. Edited November 7, 2011 by C3C0
Guest Kayusumi Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Thanks for your new release!! It's little faster than v20,but I can't enable wifi tethering.. Back to v20.. Edited November 7, 2011 by Kayusumi
Guest elcerqua Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 ok. Just click calibrate a few times. Reboot. An then calibrate again. Excuse me, I don't find the proximity sensor calibration. Where is it? Thanks

Yes, I did that with the original Skate rom, and it was a good solution. But with CM roms the ZTE Dialer doesn't work. Or is there any way to make it work?
Guest Peterzon99 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Hi! Yes, I did that with the original Skate rom, and it was a good solution. But with CM roms the ZTE Dialer doesn't work. Or is there any way to make it work? I reinstalled the rom by full wipe (Before I only updated the CM 2.0 to 2.5 rom by cache and dalvik cache wipe). Unfortunately it didn't solve the problem, still writes "Settings before calibration", the proximity sensor data is empty and the sensor doesn't work. With original rom it was good after proximity calibration (by using ZTE dialer code). But with the 2.0 rom it didn't worked too. I'd like to use this rom because it's much better then the original one except this problem. So I hope anyone can help me. Any idea? elcerqua: You can calibrate in ZTE Skate Settings from app drawer. (Sorry, I didn't see that I could still edit my previous post) Edited November 7, 2011 by Peterzon99

Guest D3abL3 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Hey Lalit does this CM port has AHB OC? How's it going to make it official?
Guest tilal6991 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Hey Lalit does this CM port has AHB OC? How's it going to make it official? Yes it does. Official means cm nightlies a cm forum and official place on the website
Guest D3abL3 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Yes it does. Official means cm nightlies a cm forum and official place on the website Thanks. I know what "official" stands for in this case, but since you're the only(afaik) porter of CM you could be in contact with some1 from CM team.

I know Tom g and Jacob c plus other people from the cm team so hopefully I should be able to get it through. I managed to get my old phone through and I was the only porter on that as well

I managed to get my old phone through and I was the only porter on that as well Well good luck on that mate ;) Submit it on CM's review and see what Kondik has to say(if it is possible ofc). P.S.: Is there another radio app that u can add on future release? one that support speaker would be great. P.P.S.: I hope you don't mind but I mentioned your work here http://www.androidpt.com/forum/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=185&id=245825&Itemid=61 Edited November 7, 2011 by D3abL3
Guest FatLadZ Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 think i might try this im happy with bluemonte but might just try this until the next bluemonte comes out with led torch :)
Guest skrabbins Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 ehm what is the md5sum good for It's useful for me, as my laptop's wifi has been flaky recently, due to having been beset on 3 axis by competing RF signals. This has led to multiple failed downloads in FF. Md5 checksum is an easy way to ensure that the download's completed properly, before attempting to flash.. Thanks for your new release!!It's little faster than v20,but I can't enable wifi tethering..Back to v20.. Indeed! Nice job porting CM to the skate, tilal6991! Thanks for the hard work! Battery life seems good - most if not all functions of required daily use appear to be working A-OK. With this latest 2.5: the only major issue I've had so far is with regard to the wifi tethering; as Kayusumi posted above, it seems a bit broken.. Usb tethering is better, in that it works (unlike, IME, some other ROMs). Had a few random reboots in the course of connecting to my PC with USB tethering, but by and large it's all working well, as is the rest of the ROM in general. Thanks again..
Guest Nofan Tasi Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Yes it does. Official means cm nightlies a cm forum and official place on the website Hi lallit Congratulations with your work! I am new to android and run your latest cyanogenmod for skate. It's a great port. Unlike other ROMs I can adb from my gentoo linux amd64 no problem. This saved my life to install the google stuff (since I wiped my sd). Obviously I am looking forward to build myself, but, I guess, skate needs to become 'official' then since the wiki does not have a linux skate build link. have a nice day
Guest Johnny Hung Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 Have somebody verify the Wifi Tether function working ? or Fail ??? Last version could working well !
Guest brunen9 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 CM 2.5 - WiFi tether do not work, gives me an "Error"
Guest Disconv Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 I have the problem with tethering as well. I didn't have this with v2.0 . Another problem I have(nearly the only one with v2.0) is that when I get a call, I can pick up, but when it is disconnected, the phone screen stays black. All the rest works, I can hear new calls coming in but cannot pick up again. I have the same problem with v2.5. Is this due to the sensor ? Greetz, Disconv
