Yep. This is now depreciated in favour of CM 9. There will be no further updates.

Besides, this last release of CM7 is perfectly stable, there really isn't anything that can be changed!

Using this ROM, the phone locks up everytime I get a call and the other person ends the call. I'm using an OMC - Bit frustrated as everything else works fine, going to have to re-think the ROM if this is a bug.

It's not a bug, it's due to the sensor not being calibrated.

Use the proximity calibration app(afaik it's available in this ROM) available to calibrate it.

Or you can flash the stock ZTE dialer and dial *983*0# and calibrate the sensor from there.

It's the proximity sensor bug. I totally forgot about that. There is a zte skate settings option to calibrated the sensor but it never worked for me.

Bugger it, I knew the answer would be simple or buried somewhere within these 38 pages! Thanks, I may revert back as I liked the ROM after seeing it run on a friend's HTC Desire S (likely to be my next purchase). I've just stuck the Atomic ROM on so just setting-up - I only bought the OMC during the Blackberry outage, fed up of not having any service on my (Orange contract) 9300 so took the entry-level option and will likely get the HTC as I'm not due to upgrade for a while.

You must install google apps. Get it from here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps

The one with MD5 sum: 1647897d8ac3efb04723d2ad2c361a3f

and install it from Clockworkmod (install zip from sd card).

Hi! I just bought my skate, hack it, flash cm7, and it's great, thanks for all who made this possible! BUT (!) I turned on a effect on my camera, and it forcecloses since then. I think it was sephia or something like that, while on recording (video) mode. Any suggestions, that might help revert the settings, without data reset? Cheers!

Came accross a nasty bug in Camera. Tried to set "Action" in settings and it FCs on me since then. Also after restart because the setting is remembered somewhere. Is there any way to reset this setting except for doing wipe data/factory reset?

Both of you should be able to fix this problem by going into settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all, finding the camera and clearing cache and data for it. Failing that use titanium backup to wipe data for the camera.

Hey everyone - just joined the forums. I am picking up my ZTE Skate (Orange Monte Carlo) tomorrow from town.

2 quick questions:

1) If I do the clockwork mod and then install CyanogenMod - I don't have to bother with the super user stuff is that right? (as this rom already has that stuff built in so to speak)

2) Are the proximity sensor bugs 100% fixed in the 3.0 release? (the download link is on the first post of this thread)

2) no its not, there's a calibration app but it's not 100% perfect, I could never get it to work properly (it either did nothing at all or made the screen stay on permanently during calls), which is a shame as that was the only thing that stopped me using it as my main driver. A lot of people have had success however.

Hmm, in that case are there any other roms you would recommend that doesn't have this problem? I looked at the Atomic rom - but people were complaining of poorer battery life and the phone running hot?

I personally use Atomic and it was absolutely perfect, however version 2.5 does seem to have more battery life than any other. Just give CM7 a go and see how it works out for you, it may be fine for yourself.
