DONT DO THIS!!

there currently is no root exploit that works with 2.3.4 (that I know of at least) so you need to do the following..

plug the phone into your pc and let it install the drivers, the phone should show up as a CD drive the first time you hook it up...

Once you have the drivers installed you should be able to use ADB, you can enable this this by going into options/applications and turning on remote debugging..

grab a copy of ClockworkMod recovery from this forum, and unzip it somehwere

it should come with a copy of fastboot-windows.exe and adb-windows.exe

now you should be able to type 'adb-windows.exe reboot bootloader'

and your phone should reboot and stay at the android/SFR logo/other, once that happens you should type 'fastboot-windows.exe boot clockworkmod.img' and clockwork mod will boot...

once there you can use clockwork mod to do a full nadroid backup, make sure you only share your boot.img, recovery.img and system.img files, the other ones will contain your personal information..

hello everyone,

I just received my skate SFR (staraddict) with 2GB SD card supplied:

Can you tell me how did you get it ? sfr local store or web distrib ?

I guess its web distrib only

BTW did you get the 50 cashback from SFR ?

Wait. The superboot pinned on the forum is made for the zte skate specifically running 2.3.4.

Yes, and the superboot is a boot partition replacement... if he (/she) installs it onto another device, at worst it wont boot, and at best we'll get a romdump with a fairly important part missing.. (the kernel)

I thought we had leant our lesson with the Blade's Superboot that was based on 1st gen OLED kernel... I lost count of the number of people with Blue screens or just not booting gen2 blades because they found some guide online that said the HAD to install superboot....

Don't know. In any case backup your phone using clockwork mod first and then try and flash superboot if it doesn't boot you can restore from backup.

1 -> i've made a backup before install superboot in case of the superboot brick my phone.

2-> trying to boot after flash the superboot, and it successful, that cool

3-> making backup with the superboot.

So the backup i have posted in the forum,is a backup with superboot

So this is a backup after you installed superboot?

Oh Wow,

Can we install magikstar29's rom.img and unlock our OMCs......though it'd be all full of SFR STARADDICT bloat software....

test it after making a backup of your rom and let us knows.

i've created et thread with the 2 files: the first is backup clockworkmod (img files), the second is the flash rom must be used with clockworkmod like other rom zip

so can you use the SFR sim and make calls with the orange rom or do you have to match the rom to the carrier/sim?

it would be interesting to see if another SFR sim worked, or an orange/other SIM with the SFR rom.
