Guest metal.mickey Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 nice one, ok ive installed atomic 1.6 and the ZTE Stuff.zip and im not able to access the factory settings. Ive checked the sensor test and the results for the proximity are : x:Stop fail and when i calibrate its suggests the calibration is OK. The other proxcal will give me a 1cm or 5 cm value ( i expect thats just near and far) what now? is the sensor broken? Thanks for all your helps MM
Guest masian Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) nice one, ok ive installed atomic 1.6 and the ZTE Stuff.zip and im not able to access the factory settings. Ive checked the sensor test and the results for the proximity are : x:Stop fail and when i calibrate its suggests the calibration is OK. The other proxcal will give me a 1cm or 5 cm value ( i expect thats just near and far) what now? is the sensor broken? Thanks for all your helps MM The sensor trouble had happened to me when I installed atomic rom 1.6. It was for me a specific problem, because the sensor usually works nice but during calls stops to work. While you´re calling, the screen turns off and you are not able to turn on the screen unless you try to reboot the phone. These was my "custom trouble". I´m not sure about if its broken your sensor, but i think no..it´s just an issue from the rom. Once a time you has installed zte dialer, turn on the phone and dial *983*0# (with ZTE dialer, not original dialer), push on the sensor item settings. And press calibrate, i think the phone will get you a "success message". Then go again to recovery menu and reflash Atomic custom rom without wipes (just install from zip file). Now our ZTE has the original dialer (blue themed by the rom) working. Edited December 6, 2011 by masian

Guest Kayusumi Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 Dear all, from the website of ZTE, I found an app to calibrate the proximity sensor Maybe it will take affects My link The zip file: P020111205626408857501.zip Guide: (Since the guide is written in Chinese) 1. Install the app 2. Open it 3. Press "Calibrate" (Don't cover the sensor with anything) 4. If successes, it will show "proximity calibration is ok " 5. Press ok to exit I don't know if it's work since my sensor works great

Guest stiefanu Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 I tried it but it gave me the error 'Application not installed'. I'm using CM7. Any suggestion?
Guest Kayusumi Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 I tried it but it gave me the error 'Application not installed'. I'm using CM7. Any suggestion? Sorry, I didn't install it since my sensor is fine I got the same situation while trying to install it on CM7 Maybe it's only for the official ROM? But the code might be helpful in developing....
Guest xiaoyaoswim Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 I tried it but it gave me the error 'Application not installed'. I'm using CM7. Any suggestion? On CM7 you've already got a calibration tool in Skate settings.
Guest stiefanu Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 On CM7 you've already got a calibration tool in Skate settings. Yes, i know. But it doesn't work, i use it every time i reboot or power on the phone.
Guest eddev Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 I flashed Atomic 1.6 and had the proximity sensor bug, I tried *983*0'# but i got a message saying "connection problem or invalid MMI code" (I think I have since read that you need the ZTE dialler for this to work?). I had originally flashed CM7 and recall it having Skate settings for proximity sensor calibration but never used it before moving on to flashing Atomic 1.6, so as an experiment I did the following:- reboot into Clockworkmod recovery and run a backupflash CM7, reboot and run the proximity calibration toolreboot back into Clockworkmod recovery and wipeflash Atomic 1.6 and rebootreboot back into Clockworkmod and restore the previous backup I'm not sure if the above should have worked but it seems to have cured the problem for me!
Guest Christian Edwards Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 Yes, i know. But it doesn't work, i use it every time i reboot or power on the phone. same here the calibration isn't remaining after a reboot / power cycle.
Guest metal.mickey Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Still having problems ive tried all the custom roms and am back to the orange stock rom unsigned. all calibration attempts have resulted in the the values X:STOP Fail pressing the callibrate button give the Calibration is OK. Back on the stock orange rom whilst on a call, the dialer goes black and will not return until the power button is pressed, although it doesnt end the call, i brings the screen back. so is my proximity busted?
