Can you confirm that you've booted into recovery, the android logo is there, and that adb devices can recognize the handset?

does NOT recognise device in recovery, only when the phone has booted to desktopdoes it recognise device

Affirmative, Roger, over and out... :)

But seriously, I will try deadlink's device tree and see how that goes - will report back in a while ;)

Heuuuu.... okie... could be something wrong on my part.... have no idea, either the device tree is missing something or what... ?!

For comparisons sake, it works on Galaxy 5, Blade... Skate is unconfirmed... so... :(

Do you have the original CWM recovery image - I'll see if I can replace the binary in that existing recovery.... and re-pack it again?

Interesting! The original cwm kernel is using the blade....?! Oo

Edit: Am recompiling the kernel to the exact same original cwm kernel's spec with addition of touchscreen compiled in and re-pack it... stay tuned ;)

Okie... Again.... same file to download from Phoenix's server in post #36.

This time around, I have recompiled the kernel source to the exact configuration of the original cwm's kernel with the addition of the touch screen driver compiled in and replaced the kernel into that original cwm, also replaced the binary as well for recovery and repacked the original cwm. So....

Fingers crossed it will show some signs of life .... :)

Cheers

ok, i can get into recovery, i see the menu screen with the pheonix pic and the arrows for the virtual keys but they dont work, also there are error messages imposed under virtual keys at the bottom:

E:cant mount /cahe/recovery

E: Cant open /cache/recovery/last_

E: unknown volume for **** [/cahe/recovery/command]

EDIT:there are more errors but they scroll up to fast

hard keys dont work either

adb doesnt recognise recovery so cant get a log
