Some people are plainly wrong, I live in Rome, right in the middle of Italy, bought my Optimus 2X (Optimus Dual for Italy) here and still, as for today, NO update.

What people might have seen is a preview beta update released to android.hdblog.it for preview purposes.

Yesterday i've updated from froyo 2.2.2 (asian v10D) to gingerbread 2.3.4 (bulgarian v20E) from this thread, gingerbread 2.3.4... yess.... !!! smoother than froyo 10D...

(it was from bulgaria but don't worry about language, in my device it will automatically changes to english)

LG in Germany reports the availability of a "bugfix update" which is NOT Gingerbread. It's the V10D version for unbranded devices, available only via the updater tool, OTA to follow in a few days (that's the added information they give on Facebook).
