Guest BrumBrum74 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) Think you need the stock RUU that came with you wi-fi Flyer. You need to double check, but think it could be this: RUU_Flyer_HTC_WWE_Wifi_1.36.1114.32_Radio_20.3501. 30.089BU_3809.05.04.10_M_release_191235_signed You'll find it on XDA here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062184 But as I said double check if this is the right one for your wi-fi version. Guest BrumBrum74 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Speaking for myself here, but I always check these things before I start changing roms and flash in case I need info in the future. If you didn't check this I would ask in the Modaco irc channel in irc.freednode.net server.
Guest Paul Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 how would i know if it is the right one Because you would have verified this in step 1 of the guide... You MUST flash the radio regardless of your device type. You MUST do all steps of the guide. You MUST ensure you have a RUU to match your device version if you want a 'safety net'. P

Guest mcnoiserdc Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Flash the Gingerbread RUU that matches your previously installed version. P Hi, It seems the ROM for USA bestbuy flyers isn't available anywhere, so I am stuck in the bootloader unlocking step, as I skipped the flashing radio step. I see there are a few people stuck here too. Is there anything we can do to solve this issue?

Guest nobnut Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) Hi, Filesonic isn't playing nice with me. I've downloaded the files from points 1 - 4 in the checklist without problems but I am not able to download the Patched Revolutionary Recovery Image and Updated Hboot from steps 5 and 6 respectively. I keep getting the message 'Download Error - Free users may only download 1 file at a time.' I've tried editing my Hosts file/clearing my cache etc. Any kind soul able to help me out with an alternative link please? I will be extremely grateful. Thank you! EDIT: Ignore please - someone has helped me out. Thanks anyway! Edited September 6, 2011 by nobnut

Guest mcnoiserdc Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 No, you don't need booting Android to make a goldcard. P please can you show me how to start doing the goldcard from recovery? I have tried but the phone won't respond to commands
Guest Paul Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 please can you show me how to start doing the goldcard from recovery? I have tried but the phone won't respond to commands Use this guide but use '/sys/class/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2:*/cid' as the location for retrieving the card serial. P
Guest mcnoiserdc Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Use this guide but use '/sys/class/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2:*/cid' as the location for retrieving the card serial. P That gives me device not found
Guest Paul Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 So your PC isn't seeing your device in recovery for some reason? That's a whole different problem. Check device manager etc. for missing drivers. You can make a goldcard in any Android device if you or a friend has an Android phone. P

I can even ask to flash things, but it gets stopped by fail:remote signature... I will look for a friend android then. thansk
Guest SJ@MPx-220 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Flash the Gingerbread RUU that matches your previously installed version. P Paul, Need to clarify before taking the plunge. Since I can't find the RUU for my 32GB 3G/WiFi Flyer, is it confirmed that GoldCard will allow me to flash to other RUU incase if I want to downgrade to GB? Thanks.
Guest Paul Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 No, that's not confirmed I don't think. P
