miui backup doesnt work for me with latest version, is there any way to fix this?

what is the recommended radio to use in combination with miui?

Also thanks for the rom, i love it very much.

Miui backup works for everything but desktop layout asfaik. Of course I never use it for apps cuz it didn't work for me on my glacier and now I'm just so used to using tb that it's all I use for apps.

I've restored messages, call logs,notes, and a cpl other things with every build so far even desktop worked for a cpl builds.

i use the CWM to backup

Until this build moves farther along in development it's best to do what the developer recommended and that's a fresh nuke n' pave every time. Trip has stated that using recovery backups can break things (TAPS for example). Lots of work, but so worth it for the useability this ROM offers imo.

Original app is called vending.apk. With root explorer, rename to vending.bak just for sdafety reasons to keep it around. Then copy paste the new market app, typically named com.android.vending-3.1.3.apk from your SD card to system/app. Right mouse click and change the file permissions to match correctly as others. Reboot. You should see the new market icon NOW on the last page of your screens.

If i want to rename vending.apk to vending.apk i get a message that it can not be changed because the file system is read-only.

For TMOUS users who are having issues with their WiFi calling, your problem 'may' be as a result of SuperCID on your phone. I don't use the feature myself, but I've seen people with a similar problem on other ROMs.

Please do the following using ADB and Fastboot.

Connect your phone to your computer and run:

"fastboot oem getvar mid" - You should get something like - PG5810000

"fastboot ome getvar cid" - You should get something like - T-MOB010

If you get a different number for your MID, then that might be why you're having issues with WiFi calling. If you CID returns as 1111111 then your SuperCID might also need to be changed.

To change your CID and MID to TMOUS versions, you can use the following commands:

"fastboot oem writecid <correct CID for your device>"

"fastboot oem writemid <correct MID for your device>"

If you get an error trying to rewrite your mid, you may need to flash the EngHboot to your phone first.

There are a number of MID, CID and HBoot threads on XDA forums that delve further into this matter. So please do some research and educate yourselves :)

That's not very helpful as you didn't state the process you used to flash, the app you used to restore, what other things you restored and from what build. Also if you have read a little, you'd see that those problems are isolated to just YOU, so making a statement like that (lagging, crashes a lot of times) without doing a full wipe and reinstall is pure negativity and a bit disrespectul to trip since these are not issues for ANYONE ELSE BUT YOU. Please understand I'm not trying to flame you just asking you to 1. Be more specific and 2. Before you make purely negative statements about the rom, you at least try a clean install. Good luck fixing the issues and my recommendation would be to use a superwipe script of some kind and reflash.

duh i know, i have done everything before flashing the latest miui rom...

like im not stupid or anything, i had been flashing roms since G1 came out, im sure i am more experienced than you

the comments were not for you, if u want to find out the problems, flash the rom urself and post them...

lagging is lagging...there is not specific answer for it....

crashes are crashes....getting FCs.......

You need to change the folder from RO read only to RW Read write. Look at the top of the root explorer page for the RO or RW.
