I LOVE THIS ROM! Im not hatting, but man... this ROM eats battery life. I dont know if any of you guys are experiencing battery drain issues also, can you guys show me what you did to conserve battery life? Thanks in advance. (I GUESS BATTERY LIFE IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR SUCH AN AWESOME ROM) THANKS TRIP.

Your going have to reflash -need to used hash checker or md5 checker to check the md5 sums before flashing so it don't happen again -

Oh ok. Wats the differences with md5's? I hav always restored to previous backups before. Why nit now? Explain plz? Noob here

Some way or another its not matching I had it happen to,couldn't tell ya why just that it suxs ,I put Md5 checker on my pc and now before I flash I always compare them b4 better safe than sorry

I have seen the posts on the Wifi issues for some and I have trouble connecting at work but at home I can unplug the router and plug it back in and it connects if I set it to never sleep I am fine at home I used at the hotel I stayed on Saturday and it worked fine ---I am ok either way data works fine and fast and build is smooth for me can wait on patches or fixes as they come down the pipe just wondering if I am doing something wrong here or there is something more I should be doing ?

I keep switching between this and CM7. Every time I'm running CM7 I like the "benchmark results" I get, but as soon as the phone rings, or I use the dialer I instantly miss TAPS and the MiUI dialer Really, that's how the Sensation AOSP roms boil down for me. I like some of the working features of CM7, but they lack the "what makes a phone a good darn phone" portion of Trips ROM. That's it, TripNMiui is staying on my phone! (I'm a flashaholic)

I using a wireless g linksys router (been awhile since I upgraded) with wpa2 at the house

Jim Did your WiFi work with no problem,? BC i have my Apple Extreme running on N only with SAME Wpa2---And i could not connect---You have Wireless G and same ---but could connect--am i right?

13 Hours! Are you serious? Then what the hell am I doing wrong, or is my battery gone bad? Mine wont last more then 5 hours of use, I use it quite often, but damn, 13 hours? What settings are you using? Also how, much do you use it, and does your phone overheat a lot?

I am not having any problems with the wifi.

My router is a verizon fios Westell router B G N available I connect up on N and I am using WPA2 for the security..

I'm was also having no problems with WiFi, 802.11G WPA2. I am getting a FC on android process core every time I unlock the phone. Changed back to Revolution HD until the next version. Keep up the good work Trip!!!

I am up to date with 9b and v2 of the kernel provided in op by mistake I wiped my backup of the 1.9.23 version S008b w/50b kernel and I am connecting without issue here unless I let wifi sleep if for some reason I lose the wifi I reboot router and it reconnects .

Yeah. Same here. Overheats a lot, approx5 hrs battery w stock battery.

edit: i reflashed again the latest ROM, reboot, then go to recovery, clear cache, clear dalvik cache, install latest kernel, fix permissions, clear dalvik/cache, reboot, then voila!, no overheating. now testing how long will it last.

Agreed. One quick note. Sorry to post a reference to another ROM. NOT MIUI. It's a Sense ROM that works in all departments for a change without manually editing build.prop.

Only posting since nothing new for a while here and it doesn't compete with MIUI being sense. My TMobile stuff works. Wifi calling works simply flashing a new add on file I found on XDA that is flashable with a build.prop. The link was taken down, so I will post a mirror. This is NOT for this ROM Trip uses. Not saying it won't work. I have a working wifi calling setup for here. PM me for that.

Large MMS choices that include 5M, 1M and 600kbps in MMS settings. I use the 1M choice. It quickly sends and rec. a 128KB size attachment that takes up 1/2 my screen when I click on it for viewing an MMS. Awsome clear and fast when using wifi calling. The 5Mb compressed down to 1500kb pix sizes, but sending wasn't too successful. The 1M settings choice weas 100% reliable. Last...tweaks are endless.

OK..no more cross reference ROMs. Just for those interested in trying a Sense and arr TMobile users too, tired of trying to get stuff to JUST WORK with no edits, which I have tried to do so far in vain here, but...not giving up on yet. (My disclaimer so I am not directed to the exit ;)

Oh. awesome camera with 2x slo motion and all sorts of neat stuff.

Just switched to the latest build. What's with the 'SMS' limit? If we type too much, the sms changes into MMS? can we disable that?

I'm not sure if it's possible as I have never seen this in any MIUI rom, but would there be any chance to have wifi calling feature added? LOVE LOVE LOVE your rom, my phone is mega sexy, but im reliant on wifi calling because of "blegh TMOUS" signal :(.

Also, where are the settings for bravia that were mentioned?

What's the typical battery use for this ROM (the latest 1.9.30 S009B with 2.6.35.14_v02_TripNKernel), meaning like average consumption in %/hr in moderate use?

(Moderate use: web browsing 30-45 mins, 10 calls @3mins per call, 20 text-ing, 30 mins of music/gaming/movie, 2G, one push email account updating every hour, no Wifi, minimum of 3-bar signal strength).

• I use SuperWipe, then manually clear everything (Including Dalvik under advanced),
• then install TripNMiui.
• Then reboot into Recovery
• Then go to Advanced and clear Battery
• Then Fix Permissions

I do about 40-50 texts/day

use the phone around 30mins talk time

Use WiFi all the time and download some (couldn't say how much)

Basically I use my phone more than anyone I work with,if that helps.

As for getting hot.....only if I use an app for an extended period does it get hot (like my Golfshot GPS app)

Please remember this is very limited "testing" of this since it is a new ROM and new kernel.

The Wi-Fi will not work for connections to 802.1x EAP.
