Guest n0oblettz Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I meant to ask, is there any way to install google talk on this? Tried searching and didn't really find a definitive answer.

Guest Louis Santos Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I use SuperWipe, then manually clear everything (Including Dalvik under advanced),then install TripNMiui. Then reboot into RecoveryThen go to Advanced and clear BatteryThen Fix PermissionsI do about 40-50 texts/day use the phone around 30mins talk time Use WiFi all the time and download some (couldn't say how much) Basically I use my phone more than anyone I work with,if that helps. As for getting hot.....only if I use an app for an extended period does it get hot (like my Golfshot GPS app) Please remember this is very limited "testing" of this since it is a new ROM and new kernel. I did this and I took my phone off the charger at eight thirty in the morning, it's now eleven and i'm down to sixty percent
Guest millhouse410 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I am up to date with 9b and v2 of the kernel provided in op by mistake I wiped my backup of the 1.9.23 version S008b w/50b kernel and I am connecting without issue here unless I let wifi sleep if for some reason I lose the wifi I reboot router and it reconnects . Same problem i am having---and it seems it has nothing to do with Wifi G or N as you had wpa2 on G and JB had my same setup WPA2 on N---just trying to troubleshooot to lend help--Keep up the great work TRIP-- So it seems like a few ppl getting the dropped wifi signal when NOT in wifi ALWAYS on...Would one of the WEP people leave their phone in wifi Off when SCREEN OFF mode? and see if it will reconnect after 15-20mins standby with screen off? It might help---its merely a suggestion, so lplease no one yell at me;)

Guest ravigodhwani Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 true. battery life used to be extremely important to me, but then i realized, i can just charge my phone at work. so now i just charge it at work, charge it at home, and it being dead never crosses my mind. of course, if i were to be out somewhere i'd be pretty out of luck in terms of battery!

Guest tomS01 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Since Battery Life is always an issue, has anyone had any experience with these... http://shop.htcpedia.../batteries.html Awesome ROM Trip Somebody use this Battery
Guest Valerio191 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I also have problems with battery draining. After reboot more than 30% of battery was away.
Guest TripNRaVeR Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Some progress on the kernel; - More UV (Final value, it can be lower but this is best for stability) 1,4 Ghz 1075000 1,2 Ghz 1025000 1,0 Ghz 990000 .. .. 152 Mhz 780000 Quite nice i guess! New version also brings also more stability and performance improvements. Once kernel is stable i will look into the working elements like bluetooth and wifi ap. Its useless to try all this on a unstable kernel cause you never know if issues related to specific components (bluetooth etc.) or deeper in the kernel code. I will upload more often a new kernel so people that like to test things they can download always the latest kernel. The kernel updates will offcourse be in the proper topic.

Guest Duncank Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 You can install gapps. Sent from my TripNMiUI Pyramid using Tapatalk Have you installed Gapps? Can I ask which version of Google Talk is in there? I have Google Talk installed with an .apk-file from xda, but only text-messages work; when I try to open a video or audiochat the app force closes.
