I restored nothing.

I wiped my phone with Android Revolution HD super wipe script.

Flashed your ROM.

Rebooted, and got BootLoop.

The problem is kernel related, i m sure

Trip, I really love the update! Been testing it last night for an hour and this morning again and the only thing I've noticed is that the market FC's. Everything else seems to work fine!

Why using the superwipe script? I dont find it in the OP...

Install without it.

Also try install rom remove youre sdcard and boot

This ROM also DoesNOT solve bootloop problem.

Flashing faux kernel looses network connectivity.

Flashed bricked kernel and got network working, but its quite old kernel and doesnot have bluetooth working.

No other working cm7 kernels available . Can anybody extract latest cm7 kernel from alpha 8 release?

TRIP r u working on bootloop issue[i believe this is tripnkernel issue] ?

Create & submit a logcat, then.

I'm on non-4G Sensation and NEVER had this bootloop prob, not even ONCE. :blink:

Hello, thank you for your ROM trip.

To you reflect a bug, your ROM have been the problem, including the latest edition, is your ROM I can't use edge in here, can only GPRS network.

My GSM sim card, change to other mobile phone use normal edge.

Tried to change the "only use the GSM network" still showed a "G" (GPRS).

Change radio, change recovery has tried, or not. But have some rules, as follows:

1, tried two different 2G GSM sim card（the same Mobile Network Operators） machines, into is G, tried another 3G sim card (different operators) no problem, in that machines H (choose 3G network is preferred), or displays E (anthology only use 2 G network)

2, if the current system has a problem, show is the G, flash a no edge problems ROM (including flash ruu) and still show G,, but another flash any version of the radio, restart it resumed show E.

3, with other ROM shows E, flash your version first into the system or after that, but to restart a E becomes G, again to restart a lot has been a G. flash any radio version also invalid (tried 43a, 50,56,58,59).

and i will loop-reboot in your new rom too~~~~~

Trip great work with new rom..just market fc..but i replaced the older version on System and i've installed it..now works..

Trip in 72b version + 74b kernel my position is perfect..in this version it is wrong..

I have no problem with EDGE (2.5G) here when 3G/H is not available.

Maybe because in the build.prop, there's this line:

persist.sys.timezone=Europe/Amsterdam

Not sure if erasing the line will introduce other problem, or just edit it.

i also am getting the market force closes, not when i open the market but when i try downloading an app, any idea on this trip? other then that everything seems to run amazingly well! :D

i have a market fc in an official miui 1.10.7 with my n1 , so it's not trip related. hope to test the miui on the sensation , that should arrive in couple days )

For those getting bootloop here's the proper solution : :

1. Download Trip's ROM

2. Download faux123's kernel for cm7 ROMS [the one clocked at 1.56 GHz, not 1.78 GHz one] from his thread at xda.

3. Flash Trip's ROM, DONT reboot.

4. Flash faux kernel

5. Reboot phone

For those getting market FC, the solution is using old market(Only this worked for me)

1. Download Vending.apk from Multiupload

2. Copy the apk to /system/app using any convenient file manager with root access ( Root Explorer recommended).

3. Change the permissions of the vending.apk by looking at permissions the other apps have on the /system/app folder. [To view permissions or to change on Root Explorer, tap & hold any apk and select permissions].

4. Reboot.

And a way to update your camera to get touch to focus,

1. Download this Camera.apk

2. Install like any other apks.

3. Open Camera

4.Select settings, select touch on focus mode, and u then have touch to focus on ur camera.

Hope it worked perfectly..

And a suggestion for trip::

I think the problem of Boot loop is same as that happens in some phones with faux kernels at higher frequency. So maybe u can use faux kernel at 1.56 GHz as a base[just a suggestion], n i hope that should work.

For those looking for the launcher.apk I was talking about- here it is. I followed these instructions exactly; but I imagine you could also download Trip's ROM, extract the file, replace the file, zip & sign it, and then flash it. Again- I am not sure if this will work- I don't have time to try it myself, but it seems like a simple solution to get market fc's to stop.

I can't wait until we get bluetooth media working, this ROM is so much smoother than any others I have tried and I love the customizability of MIUI!!

Great work as always Trip, I dont post often as I never seem to have any issues but always update when you release a new one.

I dont use bluetooth so cant comment on issues with that but so far so good with the latest ROM mate, keep it up :D

Trip great work, the new update is awesome but the new update works only with the 047 kernel. With the 62 kernel i got many random reboots after a few seconds.

When someone explain me how i create a logcat, i can sent it to you.

No bootloop for me :D no problems so far. Seen to be getting higher benchmarks. Awesome job trip!! Battery life is yet to be tested. . .(seems to be draining fairly quikly but it hasn't been calibrated yet) wow volume is noticeably higher then the version I was on before :D

No camera fc eithar. Seems alot speedier in general :) And no heatup during restore process!! :D

BUT upon first reboot my Widgets all rearranged themselves and some became wrongly sized and had to be re-added. . . No big deal though :)
