Guest tomS01 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 What are you using to control the cpu clock speed? Set Cpu apk.
Guest Gazza10 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Set Cpu apk. Thanks, Tom, I will try cpu clock speed settings later today.
Guest srgk Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 hey, i'm using your latest version of ROM and i must say that everything works great, only things i'd like to point out: - in the launcher the color bit depth seems lower than it should be - i.e the gradient in the clock or in the trash can background is stripey, like 16 bit, only when i long press on the widget it becomes evenly colored - the torch is not aligned finally, miui backup works, thank you!
Guest Aerla Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Hi,TripNRaVeR, S105B is NOT bootloop! His work is very good! I found a bug in setting \System\TripNDroid setting\System\Anonymous statstics, choose it FC. Thanks TripNRaVeR!
Guest Duncank Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 hey, i'm using your latest version of ROM and i must say that everything works great, only things i'd like to point out: - in the launcher the color bit depth seems lower than it should be - i.e the gradient in the clock or in the trash can background is stripey, like 16 bit, only when i long press on the widget it becomes evenly colored - the torch is not aligned finally, miui backup works, thank you! Press the menu-button in the launcher -> launcher settings and enable "true colors" (or something like that, don't know what it is in english exactly. it's the second option in my phone.) If you enable that, the colors are better, gradients show how they are supposed to.
Guest TaRsY Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Everything works great for me except for the battery life. I noticed a heavy battery drain. :/
Guest yoogie Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Awesome rom Trip. I have seen that you have fixed the autobrightness custom values. Great job!! I am still not sure about BT, but will test later. One thing I noticed, I have wakeup issues again. When I power off my phone, I sometimes cannot turn it on again until I pull my battery. I had this with other roms as well, but only with custom ones.... Might be out of luck with my hardware. And another thingee. The screen is lagging a bit. Don't get me wrong, the rom is fast and fluid, but animations seem to be a bit out of sync. On cameras this is called a rolling shutter effect and I think it describes it best. When you scroll through a list from top down and vice versa, some parts are rendered faster than others. This seem to be a bit inconsistent, especially when coming from a Sense rom where animations are fluid (especially in the Albums app). But I am sure this is a minor one and will be fixed somehwere in the future. Keep it up, it's well worth it.

Concerning the battery drain - it's much worse in current rom than in previous, 50% in 4 hours
Guest TripNRaVeR Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Battery drain isnt kernel related i'm sure because of the revised kernel. So something is using alot power in the rom. So start monitoring and give me the output :)
Guest fejker Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Agreed, battery drains faster, but the smoothness is great.
Guest BummAround Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) What are you using to control the cpu clock speed? Or better yet use the latest System Tuner app by 3C. Awesome rom Trip. I have seen that you have fixed the autobrightness custom values. Great job!! .... Well, actually the "Edit other level" under Settings>Personal>Display Settings>Brightness>Advance Mode>Light levels always FC. HD Video reboots after 5 - 10 seconds of recording. It records on lower settings and will keep trying different settings. +1 HD vid recording reboots after 25-30 secs of recording. Will try different (higher) CPU freqs and see how it goes. Edit: Use 'High' instead of 'HD' mode for your vid recording. It's not the min CPU freq that's the prob, suspect it's the intermediate freq somewhere.. Edited October 18, 2011 by BummAround

Guest BummAround Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) Yes, I already tested High and stated that this works in my post earlier today. I'm only saying that using "High" mode as a safe alternative, that's all. Your saying "... It records on lower settings..." is confusing, maybe language barrier in your part. And this HD recording 'bug' is getting annoying on this otherwise perfect ROM. Guest Valerio191 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 @ Trip: Massive battery draining because of mobile signal standby in german "Mobilfunk-Standby" (59%). I often lost my signal. Wlan needs 22% of battery. In every minute I loose one % of battery. That´s very fast.
Guest Bathyon Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 @ Trip Regarding battery drain My battery drain is slower with latest rom. At least in idle. I noticed that "Maps" has taken 10% of the phones power usage in the last 1.5 hours, but I have not used it since flashing and its not active (not visible when long pressing home button). Don't know if this is normal but I thought I'd mention it.
Guest r00tk1t Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Trip, can you upload jast kernel from last ROM? I tried Bricked kernel, but got No Service issue. Want to flash your kernel

Want to flash your kernel I think if you make backup with Miui you can re-flash the ROM and you lose nothing. Edited October 18, 2011 by tomS01
Guest Gazza10 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 I think if you make backup with Miui you can re-flash the ROM and you lose nothing. I always do a nandroid back up before flashing kernels or stuff that may cause problems.
Guest farfromovin Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 I always do a nandroid back up before flashing kernels or stuff that may cause problems. +1. Anything I have to flash in recovery has the chance to jack my phone up so a nandroid is in order :-)
Guest oOSturmiOo Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) I think i found a bug( or is it a feature? ;D ): Screenshot with "Menu+Vol -" -> reboot Everything else works perfect! Battery drain is better than with 103. 6h and battery is at 80% (51% Screen, 25% mobile connection standby, 17% mobile inactive) EDIT: forgot to say that i've got the 1900mAh ANKER akku Edited October 18, 2011 by oOSturmiOo

One time it froze and had to pull the battery and another time rebooted.
