Guest fejker Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) I'm getting around 9 hours out of the battery with pretty heavy usage (WiFi on all the time, otherwise 3G, Google Reader, Gmail, Skype, Google Talk, some Music, a couple of phone calls and SMS, Google Maps, browser, ... and other minor things. The battery life seams OK but not great. I'm on the 10.56.9035.00P_10.14.9035.01_M radio but don't know where to check the RIL version. Never flashed RIL. Edited October 25, 2011 by fejker

To check to see what RIL you have run getprop "gsm.version.ril-impl" in Terminal Emulator Edited October 25, 2011 by Alphawolf36
Guest shahulvm Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Well, one thing is that you are on the newest XE ril, but older radio. Not sure if that was on purpose or not. But you might what to try matching radio to ril. With that ril you should be on Radio version 10.15.9035.02_2. That is the radio/ril i am using and i am getting pretty good battery with no features turned off. http://cmw.22aaf3.co...2_2/PG58IMG.zip md5: 722549b642a1374964798cc82100855e The RIL and Radio baseband came with the phone. Am from Singapore.
Guest Alphawolf36 Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) The RIL and Radio baseband came with the phone. Am from Singapore. Rils are built into the rom, the radio came with the phone. But when you flash new roms, they might not match the radio you have. Thats why alot of roms have recommended radios because of the RUU it is based on. This is based on the newest, therefore has the newest ril. I would install the newest radio, and see if that helps before i tried a different ril. I never had good luck with changing rils. If you dont know how to install radios here is some basic instructions. How do i flash a RADIO? That depends. if its in a format and the name starts with a P then has a bunch of different numbers after, then you do the following: 1. Place on the root of your sdcard. (AFTER YOU CHECK MD5) 2. Reboot into the bootloader. 3. Then it will find it, and ask you if you want to update. 4. Let it do the update. It will only replace the radio. 5. Reboot into recovery and wipe DALVIK cache. 6. Reboot and enjoy. 7. After bootup delete file from SDcard(or move it to different folder) so it does not try to install everytime you enter bootloader). do not mess with phone during install, if you install a corrupt radio or interupt install it will/could brick your phone. The link to the radio i posted earlier was from here: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1178143 Edited October 25, 2011 by Alphawolf36

Hence I flashed the phone with stock RUU and received the baseband and RIL. Am just thinking if I should go with this MIUI ROM or switch to HTC Sensation 4G 1.10.7 MIUI.us

Guest Valerio191 Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Doesn't help. I had today reboots again also with 1188 MHz.
Guest Vierbergen Tim Posted October 25, 2011 Report Posted October 25, 2011 Hi, Phone fully charged at 11u45... at 18u30 I was at 19 %.... half an hour calling 70sms no gaming.... RIL 2.2.0173HMQ.... Radio 10.15.9035.02_2... Before I updated yesterday I ve been running sense stock rom for 5 or 6 days. with a fully charged battery I get 1.5-2 days... (Ok there is a night included BUT it is still a lot more) 7-8 hours is not acceptable for a phone like this :-). besides that it's a great rom... +- 3100 on quadrant. :-)
Guest BummAround Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 (edited) The RIL and Radio baseband came with the phone. Am from Singapore. The RIL, yes, it comes with the ROM. The radio, I don't think so. How to test? Check the radio (baseband), then flash into another version of the radio ROM, then flash this ROM and see which baseband it will be. Note: EXCEPT the chef includes the radio, which is not usual...OR you're talking about the stock ROM (RUU). Edited October 26, 2011 by BummAround
Guest shahulvm Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 I have 2 more queries, and appreciate your suggestion. 1. In miui, can we put the phone to silent mode without going homescreen. 2. While rejecting a call via "reject sms", can we automate it to send sms without me going to edit it..(this is not the same as auto-send, but rather giving me an option to "reject the call" or "reject call+send sms") like Galaxy S phones...
Guest Aerla Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Use Bricked kernel V1.3 or 1.4 & with Trip setting performance reduce cpu frequencies. Thanks...
Guest Aerla Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Hi,TripNRaVeR Your's TripNKernel-Revised02 didn't bootloop in other miui rom! It's work very well...
Guest r00tk1t Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Doesn't help. I had today reboots again also with 1188 MHz. The same for me. Trip, enough of this nonsense to do, pick up a normal kernel.
Guest jtsin67 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 I've spent the past day or so trying the latest ROM out. I never managed to get past boot with the stock kernel (other than using the set freq hack at boot time) but even then it reboots shortly after. Using the safe kernel Trip put up i got comparatively average to low battery performance so went to bricked 1.3 (1.3r3 and 1.4 give me no service, regardless of radio i have tried) but found once or twice the phone off (must have reloaded and just shut off). Alas back to another ROM for the time being. I hope we can sort out a stable kernel for all the "other" poor buggers with less than stellar hardware! I really think this ROM is great when it is running for me! I think sense is about as unexciting as an old Win mobile interface so MiUI remains my preferred choice for the phone. I admire that while the formal MiUI ROM waits on the weekly porting efforts Trip you have stuck it out and continue going after your own flavour of MiUI. I'm hoping to get back onto the ROM soon, keep up the great work! The same for me. Trip, enough of this nonsense to do, pick up a normal kernel.
Guest Arz Bhatia Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 wtf :( My phone's battery finished and now I get the reboot problem again :(
Guest Vierbergen Tim Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Hi guys :-) During the night my battery lost 21% (from 1u45 till 7u15) with only the alarm on standby.....
Guest Stinsvarning Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Latest update works like a charm for me.
Guest Valerio191 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Thanks... Doesn´t really help. In the first minute maybe but rebooting will go on.
Guest Arz Bhatia Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Hi guys :-) During the night my battery lost 21% (from 1u45 till 7u15) with only the alarm on standby..... Try SmartAssV2
Guest tomS01 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Doesn´t really help. In the first minute maybe but rebooting will go on. Yes unfortunately these kernels helps in a few hours yesterday my phone begin the continuously reboot. I make full wipe re-installed and dalvik & cash wipe ad wait 10 minutes and the result was a screen stuck. I went back to one of old version what i can use about, but stay in MIUI. So my advice was if not so big work one of OC kernel for a good sensation & one of stock frequencies kernel for an average phone.
Guest eggyenergy666 Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Im running it since it came out and no bootloop guys?
