Hy guys. I come from italian forum and USA forum (started with x**) .

over there the rom are differet respect this forum, whyyy??

returning to talk about the rom. I love SENSE or naked rom by google, and I dont prefer MIUI because classic menu is missing and the apps are distribuited on some screens.

there is a mod to implement native android aspect??? I'm loking for a different rom, the same name on this section, but have no beats and other tweaks.

mobile bravia engne, is visible its effects?? how can I check??

If you don't like the iPhoney launcher where all the apps are on the home screen you have two options. The easy way is to use a different launcher (Launcher Pro, Go Launcher, Gingerbread launcher, ADW Launcher, etc.), the other way is to create a folder on your home screen and throw all your apps in that folder, arrange the apps in that folder alphabetically or by usage.

I agree with the GPU accel. "problem" ... the homescreen and apps run smoothly, but scrolling still lags a bit ... it's not that normal lag where scrolling would stutter, it's just not as smooth as the SGS2 or the default Sensation ROM. But then again, this ROM is still beta, give it some more time, it's great so far.

Out of boredom I tried this so-called kingwolf bla bla bla version (see below), and I can say it's no good.

Instant bootloop on my non-4G, non-TMOUS device, what I did was only taking out some apk's that I don't want..

Flashed latest updated. But unfortunately it wont let me use my SD. . . .astaro sees it but the system wont get past scanning which means I can't restore anything. . . .reflash did no good.

The stuff is on my SD, recovery and astro can still read it. But the system wont which means I can't use camera (which freezes on video anyway) or restore with titanium (or minuit backup)

Before i flash the newest version i made save my completely content of sd to my computer. If something goes wrong the older version came back easier. Edited October 28, 2011 by tomS01

Tried different SD and same problem. BTW rom is stable for me on original low voltage release, great performance!! But unfortunately for me its useless without SD working so imma havta restore backup for now.(dam!!md5 mismatch :( . . .)

Without the miracle patch Quadrant gave me 3700

GPU is not overclocked to 300

GPU 220 for 2D

GPU is 288 for 3D

New kernel is again rebuild from scratch code aurora 2.6.38.6 base, patched to .8

With miracle patch

HTC sources patched INTO the kernel previous was upstream patch to 2.6.38 but it was crappy to update later so now the other way arround

JRCU added

SLQB repatched in the base source

3.0.1 kernel elements patched into base source

A big bunch of official and unofficial desktop patches in the base source added

New mms.apk for rom, heavily tested no FC's (bug was inside MIUI source lolz smali error :S )

Release should be ready within the next hours, kernel needs a few more additions.

Sorry to hear things are not better.

It takes a while...I was married almost 10 years the first time... Took me two years to start dating again...IT SUCKS.... But does get better!!

Kernels look almost as complicated as building a rom...Almost...Hehe!!

Not elligible for a new phone upgrade for a bit... Carrier moved the dates back for most us...:angry: But bills are getting caught up and after Christmas I should be able to get me a present!! LOL!!!

Wife ended up trading in her HTC Inspire 4g for a Sammy sgs2 ( at &t ) model....3800 quad stock with bloatware....NO BS!!! ( different chip set than regular sgs... )

I talked her into that phone too!!! :( :( :( :(

The "magic" patch was just a configuration of kernel control groups. This "partitions" processes into groups which can be treated equally by the scheduler. I am not sure if this brings any benefit to mobile phones, at least as far as the 200line patch goes. this simply creates a new control group for every terminal(!) process (and one for the init process). Control groups are however in the kernel for a longer time.

Second,regarding the drain. Phoronix found the larger battery drain being bound to having the default handling of pcmcia power control changed. Some BIOSES were implemented differently and not applying to the standard, so pcmcia was not set to powersave mode. Don't expect any battery benefit (regarding the mentioned "bug") from 2.6.38.

I think the JRCU (that Trip mentioned) is an approach to bound garbage controlling to a specific CPU and let the other CPU do real work. This brings more smoothness, as GC is blocking processing as far as I know.

Couldn't care too much about quadrant results, just give us battery-efficient, smooth, stable, and relatively fast.

New update sounds like it is going to be very nice, really looking forward to it. Thanks for such a sweet a$$ ROM. It has moved me away from sense for a long time I think ( sorry coredroid) .

I flashed the latest ROM just now....which BTW is SICK!! I'm loving this MIUI....my only issue right now is that my bluetooth won't pair. I flashed the updated kernel because the original within the ROM caused bootloops....

Otherwise this ROM is amazing and can't wait for the update! Keep up the great work!

I'm back on an AOSP ROM for now (Reverted AOSP), but as soon as Trip cooks this update I'll probably switch back to MiUI.

Don't mind me, just a flashoholic that likes to try almost every ROM out there. :)

However I found a bug in this rom, every time I try to do a screenshot by holding the menu key and pressing the volume down button, it causes the phone to do a soft reboot. Hopefully you'll be able to to fix that Trip. Otherwise, an amazing rom!!
