Battery seems fairly ok for me on latest Rom, on smartass. Stable on original LOW VOLTAGE bundled kernal. Quadrant scores around 3000 which is great!

Still unusable untill system reading SD card problem is fixed :( Iv found its definatly a rom problem, hopefully it will be fixed in next update.

Hey Trip will next update have newer market or is there a specific reason that the older market is included? Also hows about the ability to add extended settings and center clock.

Release is ready when it is ready. Everytime when i guess its done within a few hours something big fails and the release delayed for a day or more. Its released when its good enough, tested and stable.

I found out just today that for a unknown reason everytime i build a kernel from HTC sources / Code Aurora sources it fails everytime when implementing my own custom futures. It just wouldnt compile without heavily and crappy changes. Still dont know the reason and the be honest i'm not interested anymore. From now on i only use the official released Linux kernel sources. With the HTC sources i cant get higher then 3.0.4 at this moment.

But that shouldnt be a problem because there is only a RC available that is newer, 3.0.4 is the latest STABLE kernel.

The rom itself doesnt need much changes as i have done this before i started on the kernel again. The biggest problem was the Mms.apk and thats fixed now, the rom is built on top of the kernel so when this 3.0.4 kernel is ready i will release a PRE-BETA release and you all can test it, then i will fix the biggest bugs and then the real beta version will be upload that will be a few hours later.

Thanks Trip.

one question(perhaps repeated):

The HTC Amaze camera is special and in my oponion its the best.

Is it possible to port HTC AMAZE camera to this lovely ROM?

I feel your frustration Trip, I have been working on my son's boat for 3 weeks now, and every time I think I have found the last problem, as soon as it is fixed, I find 2 more that seemed to work just before and I didn't touch anything to do with them. like his bow light which worked last night, then after I changed the oil in his engine, the lights don't work.....I just finished so there is an end, just hard to predict how far off it is at times.

I hope the end comes quick for you, it feels good! when it does.

Battery life on this ROM is by far the best I've seen away from a Sense 3.5 based ROM. I'm here for the long haul! Love the volume and loudness of the speaker and headset, love MIUI period.....lockscreens work from time to time lol but otherwise GREAT ROM!! My only gripe right now is Bluetooth and WiFi calling is stuck at enabled....otherwise I'm diggin this. Looking 4ward to the latest update!

Small update:

- INTRODUCING THE 3.0.4 LINUX KERNEL

TripNRaVeR modified for Android/Pyramid

including the "200 lines patch"

including "JRCU"

including custom CFS

--- not finished ---

full range L2 boost

------------------------

- FULLY WORKING TRIPNDROID GOVERNOR (BASED ON SMARTASSV2)

including a working governor from boot

including cpu scaling between cores

including cpu scaling freq settings for all but not limited to 2 and/or all cores

introducing the "buddy system" the "crappy" CFS scheduler combines powers with the newly introduced cpu governor and operating therefore as "1"

introducing freq scaling with screen off (tuned for battery, but system always reconizing user workload and scale / re-scale upon it)

And much more, currently testing the release

I'm hoping "much more" means a ROM update as well lol.....Eager to try both!

@TripNRaVeR If you're not willing to release source for certian issues such as instability, would you be able to at least provide your config file?

Not trying to troll but I've been looking for YOUR 2.6.38 source now for quite a while (which now appearently is 3.0.4) and even if it's not the Android kernel, it still is a Linux Kernel which would still put it under the GPL.

You can look for my source but it is only offline :P Cant see reasons the upload the whole thing, also i dont understand much from git/repo i can do the basics to get source but most of the time i just download tar/gz from Linux and/or HTC. If i need to know specific things i just search on Github/Google. Without decent knowledge of Git its not that easy to use Github.

But why would you like to have it? There is so much better work available

You can always cat /proc/config.gz if you need the config file..

Most of the time i let it in.. as long as it is unfinished work its available.

Ive already tried, and there is no such file which means you're not including it :D So could you please enable it and post again? id like to look at it.

Oh and also if you need help with github i can get you the commands to do it. You wont need to know how to do it, just copy and paste commands. Seeing that you can port 3.0.4 means that you can surely do that ;)

Considering this is the only kernel out there on a device supposedly running 3.0.x, I am sure people are wondering how you managed to accomplish such a great task. HTC has only released 2.6.35.x sources, yet you managed to port/re-write the proprietary drivers for the Sensation to be compatible with the latest 3.0.4 kernel. And you did all this: "Without decent knowledge of Git its not that easy to use Github"? That is amazing! Yes we all want to see the source. Intentionally excluding the config.gz when compiling is for what purpose?? Also, you say you "Cant see reasons the upload the whole thing". GPL is the only reason you need.

Sue him for not giving up the source, then. :D
