Guest BummAround Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Anybody experiencing bootloop of any kind, you could try bump up the min CPU freq from 172MHz to, say, 384MHz, and also increase the voltage @384MHz close to approx 880-890mV. Edited November 1, 2011 by BummAround
Guest jjben Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 phone idle seems to be the battery killer in this release?just wonder, haven't finished downloading now.... anyone here has the battery drain like #4948?
Guest BummAround Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 32% battery drain in ~9 hours using airplane mode? :( In this case this cannot be my daily driver I hope you can fix it Trip. Wifi sleep policy set to "Never"?
Guest R1nGoStar Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I have exelent batteri life with moderate dayly use. Still have mms bug. I ask again. Am i the only one that have this bug.? Cant send mms. I am missing a setting where you set the mms max size, that worked for me on the revolution rom. Please help, i love this rom, and i want to help with whatever i can.
Guest TaRsY Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Wifi sleep policy set to "Never"? As you can see, not the wifi value is high, but the phone idle and android os seems to be higher than it should be. Wifi sleep policity is set to "when screen turned off"
Guest Valerio191 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Battery draining is now better as in last roms. Only random reboots are not fixed. Edited November 1, 2011 by Valerio191

Guest fejker Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 32% battery drain in ~9 hours using airplane mode? :( In this case this cannot be my daily driver I hope you can fix it Trip. What radio are you using? And you should set the WiFi sleep policy to "Never". I got 6 hours out of this last release today, battery not yet calibrated and I was playing Robotek a lot and using GPS + 3G data transfer for maps and Google+ photo sync.
Guest Valerio191 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Tested many apps in order to change voltage. But they didn't support Trip's kernel. Has anyone an idea for me how I can reduce voltage? Edited November 1, 2011 by Valerio191
Guest AlessioPAG Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Tested many apps in order to change voltage. But they didn't support Trip's kernel. Hast anyone an idea for mehr how I can reduce voltage? Try Faux Clock app..it works with Trip's Kernel.. I put: FOR NORMAL USE Governor: ondemand Max Clock: 1,08 ghz Min Clock: 172 mhz SCREEN OFF Max Clock: 486 mhz Min Clock: 172 mhz VOLTAGE CONTROL -100mV GPU CONTROL Governor: ondemand GPU IO Fraction: 50

Guest Valerio191 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 Hope Trip has an idea for that big problem.
Guest droidi Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I have tested rom a few day and I like it very much but there are too many little bugs that makes rom too unstable for every day use: - random reboots - FCs, for example I can't adjust TripNDroid settings at all every time FC, sometimes messages FC... - it doesn't allways show caller name even if it is saved in contacts - lose data connection, reboot helps I hope rom will be more stable and better in future, keep going!

Guest G405T Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) I'm feeling really lucky, because everything on my phone is working flawlessly; except for Bluetooth since the update - but thats got a known cause. Also my battery life is amazing! My phone has been off charge since 8:30 this morning and still has 3/4 battery (anker 1900mAh) at 10pm and thats with gmail, facebook, calander, google+ etc syncing regularly and moderate usage (angry birds :P) I have also installed this rom on my friends sensation XE and his experience is much the same. I do find it hard to understand why peoples experience here do vary so much when we are putting exactly the same Rom, kernel and most cases radio on supposedly identical hardware. Anyways.. Thanks for all your hard work Trip, this Rom is MILES better than anything else available for the sensation IMO Edit: I do gets FCs on the TripNSettings, but Im assuming porting those settings over to MIUI is a working progress. No FC's for sms. Edited November 1, 2011 by G405T
Guest oOSturmiOo Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 My phone is freezing when i take a picture and want to leave camera. Home button -> phone freezing(hav to pull battery) same thing when i press back button v.v if i open the gallery over the little window in the camera and stitch to home from ther, no problems
Guest BummAround Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 ..... I do find it hard to understand why peoples experience here do vary so much when we are putting exactly the same Rom, kernel and most cases radio on supposedly identical hardware. It's not really hard to understand, just read post #1, specifically this part: If you experience random reboots then your chipset is not as good as the common chipsets used in the Pyramid. Let me know and i will make a kernel with higher voltages available.

And also, with -100mV undervolt how is your video record in HD working?
Guest audiophile Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) Just wondering if your phone is the 4G model? And also, with -100mV undervolt how is your video record in HD working? I am also on -100mV so I decided to test for you. I'm using stock European sensation (not branded 4g model) and iv had the camera freezes everyone is reporting BUT this is my first time testing the HD video. . . . I took a HD recording of a little over 1minute lenght with no freezes whatsoever, worked as it should. Upon playback everything was perfect. Edited November 2, 2011 by audiophile

Thanks, m8. :) For the HD recording please try like 3 mins, like several times (don't have to be successive, different times in a day)....this freezes everybody is having might be due to undervolting, at least the voltage set for the min CPU freq (awake state). I've stayed away from undervolting for now, especially at 384MHz (my minimum @awake). Anyway, battery is decent somehow.
