Just fixed fully working ZSL, i have flashlight enabled and the picture is well directly taken, it is true instantly Its quite fun you know push and photo ready lolzz

--edit-- after my second full charging I've dropped to 89% in about 2 mins. Off to my next MiUI ROM for testing I read what you posted Trip, about restarting immediately to fix it. When I restart, I'm sure the battery % would change, but that doesn't change the rate that it drops in my experience. Point being, we have some batter issues. These phones can handle a day of moderate use no problem (just not on this rom yet).

Indeed FC is causes by 5x4 Grid Mod, confirmed.

I found that out the hard way. I lost my home setup because of 5x4 mod, now I have to do my home setup again.(no biggie)

I was not able to restore my home screen settings and could not go back to 4x4 because its only for 1065 version of rom.

Even tried to go back to 4x4(4 and 5 rows are empty) with the 1065 rom, then made a backup of that, then installed new rom 107, then restore home settings from 1065 backup.

Didn't work.(Shai do you have any ideas as i like the mod but not FCs)

Now I test 107 rom with 4x4

Nah it was defo the new version xD but I was thinking as much :P must be a bad install or something. And I did restore apps but the only data was for a few games (not the ones that are causing problems though) regarding battery I'm expecting an anker 1900mah in a few weeks anyway.

Great news about ZSL :D can't wait for the next update, I will be ready to flash as soon as its done. Love this rom! Couldn't live without miui.

How can I donate, because i really appreciate your work.

I installed latest ROM SO107B.Havent testet anything yet as i want my old setup back with all my apps before testing this new ROM.

Everything is running smoothly, until I restore my home screen settings with titanium backup, i get an FC in launcher.

I guess this is caused by the "home screen settings restore" from the previous ROM(SO1065 ROM), because I used the 5x4 mod.

Now I try somehow to go back to 4x4 screen setting to confirm(or not) if this is causing me the headache.

Restore your desktop only with titanium backup. Then you can use this great mod without problems.

I can record HD video's without problems..

I tried to record HD video, but it locks up and reboots after 3 - 4 seconds.

Works fine on the lower settings

Edit: I have a class 10 SD card, which means I doubt the HD recording problem is due to the SD Card

This has been a problem from the first release. BT for phone calls, file sharing etc. work, but not BT media.

no freezing on HD video recording.

But I bump up the voltage @384MHz to around 880-890 mV (somewhere around that value), and put min freq @awake to 384MHz.

Note: Looks like Trips has disabled it somehow, i.e. System Tuner app now can't tinker with voltage of CPU freqs anymore on the S0107B. :unsure:

For me the previous version seemed to be better with battery, also I'm getting alot of fc's and black screens and freezes when playing games or trying to launch them and with the camera which I never had before. It also gets hotter more frequently. Also I'm getting quadrants which are 500-700 lower than with previous version. . . . .which confuses me after hearing the talk of the wonder patch an all the updated bases :) hopefully there is something small causing this which will get ironed out In an update :D

On a side note personally I prefer the current launcher gridsize :)

It's battery monitoring/battery gauge that doesn't work somehow. MIUI thing, I believe. Not sure if Sense ROMs is any better (the battery monitoring).

I read somewhere that after full recharge, turn off your phone, take out your battery and wait for 1 min, then put the battery back in. This will allegedly correct/improve the reading/monitoring.

- HD video recording works for me ... tried recording 30 sec with no problems.

- The radio does not work ... tried with and without headset plugged in and in both cases the app just FCs

- Battery life is normal for me ... I flashed the ROM yesterday morning, went to work, with moderate usage I still had about 30% battery left when I got home 10 hours later

- The Latitude widget has the wrong alignment (Name and location of friends is not in the same line) and some of the 4x1 widgets show up as 3x1 once put on screen (the Google+ widget for example)

Great ROM as always.

I wouldn't touch the other freqs' voltage (no UV at all), just increase the voltage @384MHz to around 880-890 mV (somewhere around that value).

Hey trip, just registered to say thank you for bringing miui to sensation. This ROM is 99% functional, which I can't say about the one from miui.us. So far everything is working fine for me including hd recording. Battery life is not bad as well, flashed it yesterday morning and after all day of heavy use (setting up etc) I still had 50% left. So I've watched an hour long tv show on bbc iplayer which took it down to 21. Not bad as far as I'm concerned.

Only thing that bothers me is ringtone and etc loudness. It's way too loud for me but it's not a deal breaker.

Anyway, hope u keep working on it, will love to see regular updates so we don't have to flash the whole ROM every time.

Update:

Camera froze up after taking pictures and pressed home. Had to pull the battery.

Battery at 82% after 4 hours, 10 mins of use downloading surfing via wifi, took 2 pics, 2 calls about 1 min each...

Aoonen 2800mAh battery - anybody else use or heard of this battery? I just bought one yesterday...

+1 camera is having major issues:

a) first time i opened it, went to settings (hw button next to home) and phone froze on me...battery out.

B) switched to video mode, no soft settings visible on screen, video didn't record..camera died, phone reboots by itself.

c) took couple of photos, then tried a video and it rebooted before even shooting it...as a result all photos saved in the session are corrupt..0kB.

+1 sound issue: TOO LOUD!!

Also some lag noticed when using certain desktop transition effects that worked ok in the past (such as falldown which was 100% fluid, now nagging a bit).

Finally some font issues in SMS app: after searching for a recipient and selecting it, the name is dark on dark in the TO: field.

If you switch focus to text area, it appears OK.

This is all stock S0107B after a superwipe + dalvik + battery stats, coming from Hypersensation 0.8 -> CM7 alpha10

In the Miui.us XDA thread i noticed a camera fix that solves similar issues to the ones above: corrupt media, hangs, reboots, containing a mediaprofiles.xml...could there be a fix for this one too, even though in this case it seems more kernel related? :)

Regarding the video recording, how can you be so sure it's kernel-related? Maybe it's (your) phone-related?

If I'm not mistaken, the fix over at miui.us xda is actually a downgrade: 1280X720, m4v, 6000000 bitrate (Trips' is 1920X1088,h264, 10000000 bit-rate). It's not a solution, nor a more perfext kernel, it's just a workaround. :blink:...And besides, this HD recording freezes only happen on some phones, yours included, mine is not.

Edit1: I dunno why you're so adamant to proclaim the 'camera' fix from miui.us, it's nothing more than downgrading the HD from 1920X1080 to 1280X720 and from 10mbps bitrate down to 6mbps. So it's not kernel-related, it's hardware-related. :blink:

i also said it could be voltage or something....because if i raise min speed to 384 and change governor to smartass v2 it's much stabler. Downclocking from 1.5GHz doesn't influence at all, it records fine even at 1GHz top speed.

i actually managed to record 3 videos in HD 1080 without issues...but then the phone froze because of something else.....LOL

if only the camera had a higher bitrate than 10mbps @ 1080 it would be freaking awesome.

found some more weird stuff...after ending a call i can't see the end button...and have to rely on the other caller to hang up.

fyi, m4v is also h264, it's just another container

strange thing about the whole camera thing is that there is different behavior between reboots...sometimes it works, sometimes not.

and this regardless of the cpu speed thing

nevertheless big kudos to Trip for all his efforts, i guess there is only so much he can do (or is completely under his control) considering the MIUI source saga.

well done man, amazing results

but for now back to CM7 for me...

(or maybe some sense 3.5 rom, or no-sense, or....i don't fscking know anymore) :D

Just now tried recording for 2 minutes, and no such reboots was experienced.

But, Battery drain is a bad point for this ROM.

I keep on loosing 10% battery every 30 min.

In this release I haven´t got so much reboots. It doesn´t get very hot.

Hope Trip will change gridsize in next releases. This rom gets better and better!

this is a perfect example of faux's famous "not all chips are created equal" quote...

i can't think of other explanation for increasing stability when tinkering with cpu speed (and preset voltages as a result)

@Trip: please give us 20mbps @ 1080p and less aggresive voltages (slight OC and no UV ideally) and you have guaranteed a winner!
