Guest erneyone Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 I'm proud to announce you a (almost) fully working MIUI custom rom for the HTC Sensation, after working on the X10 for a long time, TDE (TripNDroid Mobile Engineering) is now able to release a rom that meets the quality standards as they where for the X10. This will not be a "stock" MIUI rom but a rom that gives a user experience almost identical to MIUI. The difference is that all options, functions etc. can be changed allong the road. The rom will get much more then MIUI and also will have less "bloatware" or useless things that arent needed for normal use. The performance in this rom aims to be at a minimum of 70% higher then stock sense roms, and 30-40% higher then the average/most custom roms available for the HTC Sensation. These values where possible with the Xperia X10 so one way or the other they will be possible for the Sensation. The performance of this rom will be (a bit) less then the "high end" TripNDroid Mobile Eng. rom. The rom is approx. 72mb in size. Almost every part is working, the only thing i found that isnt working is "wifi hotspot" this will be fixed later. The system settings will get an option to turn on or off the xLoud feauture and the Mobile Bravia Engine. Rom is targeted at multimedia because of the graphics, looks etc. This will decrease gaming performance slightly but it gives a astounding multimedia experience with on top a beatifull user interface. To test and check the multimedia performance please download the following demo movie and save it to youre sdcard. https://rapidshare.c....Helicopter.zip Specs: - MIUI 1.9.9 - Clear and crisp audio - Bravia - xLoud - FullHD video recording - Quadrant ~2800 - 3000 Info for 003B: Greatly extends multimedia capabilities - HtcBeats - xLoud v2 - revised by TripNDroid Mobile Engineering - Mobile BRAVIA - revised by TripNDroid Mobile Engineering - Dolby Audio Enhancements - SRS Audio Enhancements Investigating an upgrade to Dolby ProLogic 2 The sound is extremely loud in this version. - In-call volume booster - In-call speaker booster - MultiMedia sound booster (max volume is not advised!) All are enabled on default, as always on. Sound will get optimised alot, will get even better Furthermore there is added/fixed; - Possible mobile (RILD) fixes - Performance upgrade - Multi-Language - Keyboard from TDME rom included - Vibration to normal level - Small glitches/bugs fixed Be prepared for the next level of Mobile Entertainment! - unleash the beast - http://www.mediafire...x8cy6api3a69iga https://rapidshare.c...-TripNRaVeR.zip 003B is a personal tribute for that special one.. my other half Rom is using the CyanogenMod kernel with a custom ramdisk. All credits to the CyanogenMod crew for the kernel. Every time i install apps from the market the launcher FC. what can i do to fix it. thnx
Guest TripNRaVeR Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 GPS/Location issues are fixed. I'm in the Netherlands and my GPS just locked perfectly with nort-american pool so whatever it i dont care cause it works. Now the system will decide what server it needs to use so i'm doubting if TMOUS users need to change anything. Updated some apps Performance update (Quadrant 3000) you need to run Quadrant 2x after each other the second time it will be arround 3000 because of my battery saving system that operates at a small delay. In games you dont notice cause when the game is launched the cpu will automaticly go at full power during launch. Slightly updated theme. Again update for the mobile connection system. Bluetooth updates. And more... hoping to release in the next hour
Guest Bathyon Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Hi! Thank you Trip for a great rom! I have the gps issue and have followed all suggested workarounds without any luck. Usually when I use gps I get a lite gps symbol in the notification bar showing it trying to connect or being locked on. The problem is that I don't get this symbol with this rom and I don't know if its supposed to be like that (like a setting somewhere) when the gps is not locked on or if it is related to the whole gps problem. My question is: For you who have a working gps - do you see this symbol in the notification bar? For you who don't have a working gps - Do you see this symbol? I appologize if this has been taken up somewhere before. I have been following this thread since launch and haven't seen anything about it.

Guest Raycaster3 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 OMG...I have Wifi Calling enabled. All I did was place the apk file attched here on SD card and installed the normal method. No pushing, no permissions change, just click on it and install. I watched the enabling screen for around 30 seconds and was about to close out, then got the pop up box that you basically check to not show again, and it worked. I did add the lines Trip stated. I am going to post my complete build.prop, because I did change a few lines to better reflect this is a Tmobile US model, by editing reference to fingerprint also. All I can say is it works with NO other files. Everything already onboard except this apk. Now to get the mms small pix fixed. I can use GosmsPro, but it looks like it posts a file on a web URL instead of embedding in the message, so it's basically an sms with a URL reference, when sending from the app. Have not tested from another phone to me. http://hotfile.com/d...-A0-GB.apk.html # begin build properties # autogenerated by buildinfo.sh ro.build.id=S003B.1.9.9-TripNRaVeR ro.build.display.id=MIUI.1.9.9-TripNRaVeR ro.build.version.incremental=S003B.1.9.9-TripNRaVeR ro.build.version.sdk=10 ro.build.version.codename=REL ro.build.version.release=2.3.5 ro.build.date=Sept 16 ro.build.date.utc=0 ro.build.type=userdebug ro.build.user=root ro.build.host=tripnraver ro.build.tags=test-keys ro.product.model=HTC Sensation 4G <<<<<< ro.product.brand=tmous <<<<<<< ro.product.name=htc_pyramid ro.product.device=pyramid ro.product.board=pyramid ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi ro.product.manufacturer=TripNDroid Mobile Eng. ro.product.locale.language=EN ro.product.locale.region= ro.wifi.channels= ro.board.platform=msm8660 # ro.build.product is obsolete; use ro.product.device ro.build.product=pyramid # Do not try to parse ro.build.description or .fingerprint ro.build.description=S003B.1.9.9-TripNRaVeR CL125597 test-keys ro.build.fingerprint=tmous/htc_pyramid/pyramid:2.3.5/GRJ22/125597.2:userdebug/test-keys <<<<<< # end build properties # # ADDITIONAL_BUILD_PROPERTIES # # RILD SYSTEM rild.libpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so rild.libpath.ganlite=/system/lib/librilswitch.so rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so # # RILD ADDONS ro.ril.enable.dtm=0 ro.ril.gprsclass=12 ro.ril.hsdpa.category=10 ro.ril.hsupa.category=6 ro.ril.hsxpa=3 ro.ril.enable.ganlite=1 ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1 ro.ril.update.pyramid.acoustic=1 ro.ril.def.agps.mode=2 ro.ril.enable.prl.recognition=1 ro.gsm.2nd_data_retry_config = max_retries=3, 2000, 2000, 2000 mobiledata.interfaces=gannet0,rmnet0,rmnet1,rmnet2 ro.telephony.default_network=0 # # WIFI wifi.interface=eth0 wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=240 ro.com.android.wifi-watchlist=GoogleGuest # # Performance ro.opengles.version=131072 dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=16m dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=48m dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m dalvik.vm.dexopt-data-only=1 dalvik.vm.lockprof.threshold=150 dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=m=y dalvik.vm.checkjni=false ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0 dalvik.vm.stack-trace-file=/data/anr/traces.txt # # Product HTC&TME ro.sf.lcd_density=240 qemu.sf.lcd_density=240 ro.semc.xloud.supported=true persist.service.swiqi.enable=1 ro.service.swiqi.supported=true ro.com.android.dateformat=dd-MM-yyyy persist.sys.use_dithering=1 persist.sys.timezone=US/Pacific ro.modversion=S003B.1.9.2-TripNRaVeR # # MEDIA media.a1026.nsForVoiceRec=0 media.a1026.enableA1026=0 htc.audio.alt.enable=0 htc.audio.hac.enable=0 ro.config.ringtone=MusicBox.ogg ro.config.notification_sound=Message_Alert.ogg ro.config.alarm_alert=Alarm_Rooster_01.ogg # # MISC net.bt.name=Android keyguard.no_require_sim=true ro.com.android.dataroaming=false ro.setupwizard.mode=OPTIONAL ro.setupwizard.enterprise_mode=1 ro.url.legal=http://www.google.com/intl/%s/mobile/android/basic/phone-legal.html ro.url.legal.android_privacy=http://www.google.com/intl/%s/mobile/android/basic/privacy.html ro.com.google.gmsversion=2.3_r3 ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-htc ro.phone_storage=0 ro.emmc=1 ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-tmobile-us ro.com.google.clientidbase.vs=android-hms-tmobile-us ro.com.google.clientidbase.ms=android-hms-tmobile-us ro.ril.def.agps.feature=1 ro.ril.gprsclass=10 Welcome to the wifi calling party!

It shows up in the taskbar for a couple of my apps (Golf and Running), but not for others like maps. I think it may be a setting in the app to enable the taskbar icon. Did you try the GPS Status & Toolbox from the market, it will give you a clear understanding of what is happening with the GPS on your device and whether it can see any sats or not. If it can see some, but not get a lock, that is way different than not seeing any sattelites. Just a suggestion....Good Luck!! I have no real major functional isseus with this Rom, everything is working for me like I need it to. no FC, full bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, Phone, Wicked fast downloads and good battery (about 10hrs.)
Guest tomS01 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Anyone here who knows how to and wants to build a nice kernel for this rom? My friend tries to teach me but it takes a long time and I just finished my master's degree so I have a bit of time. Of course that doesn't help right now. Anyhow, I left my sensation at home for my vacation so I'll have tonflash whatever killer build is out on Monday when i get home. Thanks so much for your dedication! And btw your kernel is dope great battery, super fast and responsive. We just need vdd support... lol ;) Edited September 16, 2011 by Raycaster3

Guest tomS01 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 I read over some post & my question followed: If we flash only TripN miui why need every time full wipe or not necessary!
Guest Raycaster3 Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 I read over some post & my question followed: If we flash only TripN miui why need every time full wipe or not necessary! So any leftover bugs/issues from previous builds will not be present and he can support the latest build until it's "stable" or out of beta. I think? Lol
Guest TripNRaVeR Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Because the rom is BETA and alot of files changing rapidly otherwise its impossible to find bugs that are related to the rom or related to "old data" with links to non-existing files / features with the result of a nice FC

As soon as I click on any GPS app, such as Places I am testing right now, the little blinking GPS satellite dish IS in notification next to wifi. Go to the pul down toggles and is your GPS symbol turning color when you enable it?
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Welcome to the wifi calling party! Yeah...finally. I will be that damn MMS bug too. On one of the sense roms I had consistent 800-100kb sized mms files that were reall mms files. Right now using GoSMSPro, they are URL's which is fine if on wifi, but on a data connection takes a long time to view.

Go to the pul down toggles and is your GPS symbol turning color when you enable it? No go. I don't see the icon in the notification bar ever. When I use quick toggles in the notification the gps symbol turns orange. I also use the toggle in the gps setting to make sure the quick setting isn't the reason. I have tried the following apps that use gps and I don't see the icon on any of them: - Google Maps - Gps Status and tools - Places - Google+ geotag post I don't get any gps signal or lock on to any satelite according to Gps Satus. I havn't tried outdoors yet but usually get a signal from my window at work.

It's fun tweaking things and trying to get them to work the way you want. True collaboration going in too. That's why it's so addictive! I can understand a little why Trip is constantly working on the rom. It feels so cool to make a little change in something and see it work. Anyhow I'm totally gonna miss the fun this weekend. I'll be having a different kind of fun which will be nice.

Guest Docmjldds Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 FIXED--->>>>MMS small pix bug use this mms.apk file. Just place on SD card and install the normal method of clicking on the file with file manager. NO adb push. No Root explorer required. Same as my apk fix for wifi call. PLus having wifi calling enabled affects speed of sending mms. Enabled it was almost instantaneous. If you look at the pix with the stock message applet, it will be a decent large file size when viewing, but details says 1kb. Don't believe it. Open the same pix in GoSMSPro and it's 186MB in size. In settings I have 1.2M file size for MMS and I have the preserve image resolution below that enabled. screenies of stock app and gosmspro to show the 1Kb and 186Kb file size in details, so do not believe that 1Kb reference. http://hotfile.com/dl/129944232/9fabd01/Mms.apk.html Here you go. Enjoy your pix now....I hope ;)
