Just tried that, still force closing. Only way I can figure out how to solve it is a reflash. This is happening to me on 002B and 003B.

I thought you were on vacation :)

I did NOT mod anything. I "borrowed" BOTH wifi calling apk and mms apk files from XboarderMOD_v1.0.2.zip which is older than his current. I basically have just been spending my last days here trying a slew of files after I knew that build.prop edits were as good as it would get.

Haha yeah service for a min at Marina. I was gonna try those if my others didn't work. Have a good weekend daytrippers!!!!

And what happens if you reinstall that same program form the market instead of a backup. Backups do NOT always work in my book. I have had zero FC's with program installs.

What specific program install is causing FC's. And is it running an already installed program, or just when you try to install a program. I only have ONE strange FC. And that's with a speedtest program that FC's if my data connection is only one bar. If I have max bars or wifi it doesn't FC. I don't consider that a bug. My only other odd issue is sometimes root explorer seems to lose itself and cannot change from rw to ro or vice versa. Have to reboot and all is well. Again, I don't consider that to be a bug. It could be an MIUI thing. We all seem to forget that this stuff, while beta is also based on set MIUI bases that come out every Friday. I would venture that the average user here doesn't realize how MIUI works in general regarding updates and this can affect what we see here. I used to always read the MIUI.US Forum posts to keep up on bugs just introduced in the weekly builds. Not sure anyone here is really doing that as a guess.

Is the problem with the picture size's in the mms.apk have anything to do with the user-agent listed in the mms_config.xml file?

It's listed as supporting MaxMessageSize as 307200 with H/W 768x1024 which all seems correct. But the usProfUrl is pointing to a profile for the DesireHD instead of the Sensation.

Can / or does this in any way have the affect of causing the 1kb file size in pictures? I have tried all the modded mms.apk files posted and none of them have worked so I've been trying to backtrack where the problem is coming from, but since I'm still learning about Android I figured I would defer this to someone more knowledgeable.

launcher is FC'ing quite a bit even after a superwipe and re-flash.

I have GPS working 100%. Have NOT read the last three pages so appolgy if this is repeat.

1. Download fasterfix from market

I am in US, Henderson Nevada, so this is for USA. Euro users set server accordingly to location. For US choose North America and Go.

2. Download GPS Status and tool box.

After install, go to settings menu of app and tools, and Manage A-GPS state. From here RESET. Then go back in and choose to Download from same location as reset. NOW..most important, set your phone down in a known location on a flat surface that has in the past worked for GPS. Normally outside or near a window. Go grab some coffee. Have a beer. Whatever. Leave it sit for a min.of 10 minutes to lock in on Satellites. I get 9/9 Fix and Satellites in my house. When it locks in, the whole screen loads up more info, including your Latitude and Long. info.

3. Now, Go to Latitude app, assuming you already downloaded installed Google Maps. Allow the app to log in so to speak. You should see your location.

4. Test by opening up Navigation app and choose something to Navigate to. I did this and the familiar Navigation lady started talking in 5 seconds :)

PS...before I did this, I only saw ONE Satellite at best in the setup for GPS Status.Sorry Raycaster3....with FasterFix it uses the north-america.pool.ntp.org server. Trip default had the 0.added infront of north-america. Not sure if server was the only issue. I do know that THIS works for me. No reboot needed. Just follow the directions....

location is Tampa,FL

I'm on TMO, been having problems with gps at first. followed this and now gps is working fine. using s003. thanks doc and trip!

How do you add your phone number under My number? It shows unknown. thanks

I tried installing BeWeather from the market and it started force closing on me. After a reflash of the ROM, I installed everything from backup and it worked fine, then after I installed the WiFi calling apk, the force closes began again. I added the WiFi calling apk to the ROM, reflashed. All was good, actually, the WiFi calling started working without making any changes to the build.prop. I reinstalled all apps from backup and I am running fine now. Very strange. About to leave for the airport so probably won't be playing around much more till Sunday evening.

The pix are NOT 1Kb in size. The mms.apk file works. If you look at the same file properties in the gosmsPro app, it will show the full KB size. I posted this to prove that it's an anomally that it reports 1kb. A 1Kb size pix ...you would need a magnifying glass to see it.

Open up the same picture in GosmsPro and right mouse click and look at the picture properties.

One thing I forgot to post. I have been doing this for a long time. I never like the dual APN's that you see when looking. And this was posted as a fix for TMobile users as following on the XDA thread involving CM7 tricks etc.

CORRECT APN SETTINGS FOR TMOBILE-US USERS

Fixed my issues with Wifi-Calling MMS.

I talked to TMobile and they gave me the correct info for the APN settings.

I deleted both of the APNs listed under wireless settings and created a new one.

Just in case any of you are having issues with SMS or MMS using Wifi-Calling.. give this a shot.

Create a new APN.

Name: T-Mobile

APN: epc.tmobile.com

Proxy: 216.155.165.050

Port: 8080

Username: leave blank

Password: leave blank

Server: leave blank

MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050

MMS Port: 8080

MCC: 310

MNC: 260

Authentication Type: leave blank

APN: default, supl, mms (Very important to not have a space in there.. just the ,)

hit the menu button and hit save. then use that apn. You should now have working MMS and SMS.

Hope that helps. Cheers.

*************************************************************************************************************************************************

Note, I personally do not think you need to put in the first Proxy and Port numbers. But this is a copy of the post. It works either way.

Good deal. My only issue I just ran into is I had no problems running MIUI backup and a restore when I first installed. Now it basically fails 25% into the backup. I typically Nandroid backup everything anyways, so NOT a big deal for me. Just posting this issue.
