Yeah I understand that and I've got the exact same settings setup for my APN as I had to do the exact samething when I first came over to T-Mobile with an iPhone 3G as I had the same issues with picture sizes, however there was an option in the APN settings that allowed you to adjust the maximum mms size for the iPhone that the Sensation is not showing. The above settings did not help the picture size problem I am getting from messages received, they are still tiny tiny tiny! lol. Thanks again for your help and I will continue to try and figure out a way to get the default miui messanger receiver larger pictures as I really want to use the default manager integrated into miui, I just want to be able to receive large "clear" pictures :) Thanks again

There is NO WAY to use default MIUI manager. I have been using MIUI for over a year. Used it on my Nexus One. The default mms app always had this issue, at least with the Nexus one also. The fix on all roms I ever used was a different MMS.apk file, then simply use a third part app such as GoSMSPro, or Handcent etc. Sorry, but if you absolutely want the default app to work, never seen it work....

this is a real noob question, but is there a quick way to tell the difference between WWE and US radios? Like is the U an code for euro verison? I am thinking of changing radio to see if that affects the AGPS. GPS itself works perfectly, but AGPS is still not, and I am wondering if it is a radio is. I am using the TMOUS latest.

OK...I have posted this numerous times. This time I have zipped up the apk files I use for wifi calling and large files mms. Unzip these. They are in an app folder in my upload. BOTH of these files ar installable by simply placing on your SD card root, and double click using the file explorer or any suitable file manager. After installing, reboot for good measure. I prefer to use a third part app for my sms/mms needs. GoSMSPro is a good choice that works. After several tests, ther best selection for size of the MMS file, USING GoSMSPro is 1.0M. You can actually go down to the 600Kb size and only lose a few Kb in size of the actual mms file received and a smaller file sens faster. WiFi calling drastically aids the ability to send mms faster. The wifi apk I included here is installable the same way. Simply doubled click after placing on your SD card. Make sure you have files from unknown sources as OK for installing or you will get a popup message saying to enable. Reboot and enjoy.

okay....so here is my findings on 004B

My Market opened up just fine for 30 seconds then it began to FC

I opened up the RADIO "said to plug in head phones"...so i plugged them in...Now I get a black screen followed by a FC. I wiped Cache, Dalvik, Fix permissions and on a fresh boot click on radio same thing happens. black screen follow by FC.

Audio: Appears to be much lower than previous build. I know you wrote it was like 40% louder but dont see how?

I also played the hellicopter video...sounds great. you can hear all the panning of the effects from one side to the other but volume is low and not that impressive.

are we suppose to see something special pop up and or press something to get the super volume working?

Camera & flash still dont work

Some of the "menu icons" come out dark and not shaded in white.

so is anyone experiencing these things as well?

also. TripNRaver....for the camera.apk you are using its a blue theme? is there anyway you can theme it to be more concise with the theme the OS has? like maybe just a black one to keep it neutral?

You definately doing something wrong, cause this sounds like you dont use the kernel that comes with the rom, TAPS is very precise if a little bit is changed in the audio system it will deactivate inmediatly. Giving you the stock audio back and also removing xloud untill you wipe data then xloud will be back. You really think i say volume is 40% louder when it is lower? :lol: Are you kiddin?

ps. two fixes left and then the new version will be up.

this should fix the issue with sensors/rild ( i dont have issues so i cannot check this )

2d performance upgrade you gain about 15 fps

Hi everyone, just moved over from XDA to follow the development of this rom. I had a Desire S, which my wife now has, that was running the MIUI port by Superkid on XDA.

His rom was recently added to MIUI.us as an official version, are you planning for this with your rom too, TripNRaver?

My Sensation should arrive next week, so I'm really looking forward to downloading this and having MIUI back on my phone again!!

If someone want a 4-way REBOOT OPTION:

Download: 4-way reboot 1.9.9

Install:

~ CWM Recovery

~ mount /system

~ flash 4-way.ZIP

~ unmount /system

~ reboot

Slightly late and noobish reply, but can it be installed in CWM by installing zip from SD card as well, without mount/system? Will this be included in future releases? Thanks!

MIUI backup is fixed when its only in english.

Any chance of you releasing a version that is English only so MIUI backup will work for those of us who don't need the other language support, at least until there is a way to make it work in the multi language version? I completely understand if this is not feasible or you just don't want to just thought I'd ask cause I miss the ease of restoring my setting after a new flash :)

Only thing which annoys me is I'm not getting good battery life, but that's a problem I always have.

Is there any chance of you adding a native CPU C daemon into the rom? Like the one in virtuous. And the one in 'bulletproof miui' that would make this rom perfect!

Hey Trip, awesome rom. Glad I gave it another try after the first version.

One thing which is bugging a bit. The display is too dark. I tried to tweak the levels within the menu, but it seems that the keyboard illumination value for the last entry is set to -1 which stops it from editing. I can edit all other values, except this one. I cannot save my values and cannot change them.

Will you fix it or should I try to track the db where these settings are stored and fix it manually?

What could I be Doing wrong. I do exactly as you say and I'm not flashing any kernel after rom installation ...

I would highly suggest to you, that you are using an Earlier Euro Radio...NOT for T-Mobile USA. Linking info below my post to you. With Android 2.3.4 and I would assume higher..now 2.3.5, for TMobile US you should be using the RIL and Radio I show below and I have done enough research on this based on what I see users reporting that this gives the best combination. I know the older 159 RIL used to be what was the correct one to use with TMobile and it's now 169 reference.

Maybe Trip if you are reading this you can tell us the RIL you are using with your ROM?

EXT4 ROMs require you to first mount System prior to flashing

I am using standard language, English UK but i still get force close on MIUI backup.

any fixes for FC in miui backup?

and are the updates going to be no wipe updates?

the only thing not working for me is location via wireless network or via mobile network. works well with GPS.

and i have wireless tether working using wireless tether for root from the market. maybe that can be the fix for wireless tether built in.

Yes ineed fc on android. launcher. will try to go to cwm and wipe cache/dalvik again
