Okay....I must be doing something wrong.

Flashed the 005B ROM and for the life of me I cannot get the radio to work. I get nothing but a black screen follow by FC.

The Audio.....TRIP how do i get the 40% kick?? My volume sounds normal. I dont hear it loud. am i suppose to be using certain headphones or am i suppose to press something to trigger TAPS?

i don't know why, but i saw somebody report this in others bbs and someone else say gps is work good.

before i flash the rom, i'd wipe.

and i tried to change radio, 43, 56 and the 58 were not let gps work...

my sensation is for sale to Thailand. i'm in China.

Mate, I am not sure if you try to educate me. I am perfectly aware of how rils and radios work and that they best match together (however this really depends on manufacturer and version). I own many Android devices for years and have flashed countless roms, rils and radios... Just for the record, I really have no clue what the radio version is where the proximity issue should be fixed with. This is the only question I have.

First, Trip just stated that he is using a custom RIL that matches any Radio. Never heard of this. But since this is the way it works for his ROMs, then I would NOT have made a general statement to all. That said, if you want to take a general post I made to all, since I cannot even try to guess who has vast knowledge, who has vast knowledge except for RIL's and matching Radios, who had vast knowledge, but knows everything there is to know, except for A, B and sometimes C. Hope you see my point. If you have been around and know everything there is to know...then great. I cannot assume everyone that is stating they are flashing multiple radios, has a clear understanding of issues. Lets say under normal circumstances, a user that is well versed on THIS subject would be using ONE radio, based on the given RIL associated with a rom. This doesn't account for the fact that Trip is using a customized setup here which until 5 minutes ago, I didn't know, and probably you didn't know either, so we both learned something. I'm here to help out all the users, that includes those with vast knowledge that knows 5x as much as me, to those that still need to know where an "any key" is on a computer. Sorry you took my help here as a personal attack on your knowledge. If I had better ESP, than maybe I would have known to state that earlier. Lets agree to just get along. I always ask that any user that has a personal bone to pick about a comment made in public..to please PM me or that person and keep it there. It really prevents the piling on from this side or that side. Peace.....

Anybody notice the mms.apk in the new rom, glacier, or any other doesnt seem to work now for t-mobile small MMS pictures? No clue what's going on. But I'm in love with this rom.

From 005 and upwards rom uses an custom RIL that should be capable of working with any radio.

I guess if that was a reality, then some users here trying to fix the bug where they lose radio after turning screen off wouldn't lose all data from working, till they reflashed the "correct one"? I don't know..Only going on what some users here are doing and they say they had to go back to have any reception working. Besides the APN issue I saw on my setup, I tried leaving build.prop alone. When I tried using the mms and wifi calling apk files that worked perfectly for me in last version didn't work on this version.Back to small 16-20K MMS files, and wifi calling just said enabling, but never got passed that.

I have to assume that since I did not touch build.prop at all, then that's the key to something different going on here. I haven't looked at the wifi calling lib files in /system, but assume they are still there. WiFi calling is a Tmob US thing, so I would go back to my assumption that the build.prop needs the edits I have often mentioned, so that the phone is seen as a US version and NOT a Euro model.As for MMS, it worked before with a specific mms.apk, so only difference is build.prop, or is there something else going on you can point me to?

In regards to the 40% TAPS increase....one thing I did notice...call volume is super loud even through speaker.

...but when i play music from media player through regular pear of wired headphones it sounds normal not loud....any ideas?

I had gps issues thru 003B, but with 004B GPS was fixed. I did go and right after flashing and first boot, go back into recovery and fix permissions. Then i went and downloaded, gps status and ran that, then used maps. In 004B GPS worked, but not AGPS(celltower/wireless). In 005B, all is working now. One thing i did do was between every flash i used superwipe. Then i flashed, i know Trips rom wipes anyway but i have OCD with things and its just my way. Might want to try that before flashing 005 too.

Hey Trip...

First off I do wanna say very good work on the ROM as you're the only person that's taking MIUI on the Sensation seriously. But with that being said, there are some fallback which are making it pretty unusable based off of MY experience.

1. The random chain of FC's for the Launcher makes navigation of the device non-existent. No sooner had I installed S005B had the problem come back again. I'm forced to use my modified S002B again while a solution is HOPEFULLY found.
2. Proper screen resolution still isn't correct yet. I don't know if this is a problem between the USA and Europen devices, but I've never had this problem with any ROM in the history of me having android (since version 1.5). Unless there's something that I don't know about this device, I'm having to chalk the problem up to your ROM.
3. With this ROM I experience a LOT of random data dropouts. Again, something I'm going to have to chalk up to your ROM as I haven't experienced this kind of data failure with other ROM or device (sans the G2x which was a failure all around).

Now I do appreciate the work on audio and video, however I'd value core launcher functionality before having anymore volume or video tweaks. I'm not a ROM developer, but seeing as how when I switch out the launcher2.apk from another MIUI build I gain functionality back, but have the slight (fixable) resolution problem...I'm going to go on a limb and say that issues 1 & 2 can be address by you looking further into that APK file.

As far as issue 3...I haven't a clue yet, but am going to have to go back to Sense (puke) because I need functionality.

@Trip First would like to say my thanks for the awesome rom.

You mentioned earlier that you fixed that Wifi Hotspot but i still have issues with it.

Another thing I was hoping you could add in future update was the MIUICamera found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12212034&postount=4 .

Those who are having issue with themes try newer themes it should work fine.. that is probably because that older themes do not support the resolution the Sensation has.

There is also the MIUI weather app which is in beta but works on other devices if you could include that too it will be just awesome..

i'd do superwipe before. but gps was still can not work.neither 003,004 nor 005.

and i tried to do so, i got success. now ,i don't know the reason was i flashed the Official rom or i reflash recovery. because after i flashed official rom, the recovery is bad. then i reistall a deffrent recovery-5.0.2.0.

5b was working great. Then all of a sudden insta force close and it wouldn't stop forceclosing had to wipe and reflash. Very very annoying back to 4b. Of course I wiped I even rebooted and fixed permissions. I really wish updates were no wipe :P Wifi wouldn't connect either.weird. and my man trip, you should consider adding the latest market.
