For those who had FC for Launcher in 004B.

Didn’t meet this problem till yesterday, after ROM manager install from Market.

I did happen right away after install – so I suspected that it could be the cause of FC.

I did uninstall the ROM manager, but the FC didn’t go away, so opened the launcher from app manager and turned off the compatibility mode and since that the FC is gone.

Thus I have not tested yet with a ROM manager reinstall.

no service bug still exists at 005 maybe use the new cm7 source for any solution they fixed it

for those who had problem with miui backup, u can use titainum instead.. still can backup and restore desktop layout :rolleyes:

and the last hope for me is battery draining.. its pretty fast.. I still dont know which kernel is the best

impressive! everything seems to run pretty flawlessly for me, miui backup works, and gps, wonderful job bro! the only thing left now is the camera, cant wait till this is done :D

Just replace bu MIUI camera, touch to focus and flash work, only zoom doesn't work, :D

Can anyone confirm google voice working for international calls? It seams every time i make a phone call, it just dials directly. can anyone help? MMS.apk doesnt work for this rom, it still has the same message size for T-Mobile USA. Other then that, GREAT ROM :-)

Those with fc problems and gps issue.

Please flash sense rom. Then test gps. Once gps works reflash niui latest. Everything should be resolved.

I bought my phone in UK and use in hungary my phone was unbrand. Where do you bought yours i think only we have this no service trouble.

I really don't know what is the real sh*t in alpha ver i didn't have.

Your ROMs are really great especially the Sound Rocks.

I have a question: Is there any way to resize all apps like sound recorder and also resize some parts of the ROM to qHD, for example when you want to remove a widget from screen, size of the trash that apear at the top not mach with screen resolution!

First of all Trip, thanks very much for a brilliant MIUI port. Apart from AGPS this is working really well for me. And sorry to hear what you're going through at the moment ... it's tough :(

As for the AGPS issue, on running Maps I'm seeing this in logcat:

D/lib_locapi( 948): [GPS:] loc_eng_set_position mode: GPS_POSITION_MODE_STANDALONE

I believe this should be showing GPS_POSITION_MODE_MS_ASSISTED or GPS_POSITION_MODE_MS_BASED for AGPS.

(are Trip or any other folks on this forum getting an AGPS result in logcat?)

Looking at GpsLocationProvider.java in Android OS source code, we've got:

if (Settings.Secure.getInt(mContext.getContentResolver(),

Settings.Secure.ASSISTED_GPS_ENABLED, 1) != 0) {

if (singleShot && hasCapability(GPS_CAPABILITY_MSA)) {

mPositionMode = GPS_POSITION_MODE_MS_ASSISTED;

} else if (hasCapability(GPS_CAPABILITY_MSB)) {

mPositionMode = GPS_POSITION_MODE_MS_BASED;

}

}

which suggests that to get MSA or MSB we need to correct capability set and we need Settings.Secure.ASSISTED_GPS_ENABLED set correctly.

I've verified in the sqlite settings.db that Settings.Secure.ASSISTED_GPS_ENABLED is set correctly, so it seems the capability bit is currently not set correctly.

For the standard Qualcomm GPS driver, the capability bits are set in loc_eng_init in loc_eng.cpp, eg:

callbacks->set_capabilities_cb(GPS_CAPABILITY_SCHEDULING | GPS_CAPABILITY_MSA | GPS_CAPABILITY_MSB);

However as far as I can see it looks like the Sensation driver is structured differently, don't have time to further investigate now.

I have also verified with matching Vodafone RIL/Radio and matching Sensation XE RIL/Radio that neither fixes it.

Trip - I hope you find this useful in fixing the issue. One option may be to just to remove the capabilities check, as obviously all Sensation handsets have AGPS hardware.

You cannot restore desktop layout from a launcher that has 4x4 layout as standard, to make sure you dont get launcher FC do not restore desktop layout. If you do after reboot you will get FC and need a data wipe again

downloading now might give this a try later if i get a chance, also have you tried having a word will daniel on xda (xavierjohn22 he makes the XJ miui rom for the HTC desire) and is the best there is at it and has released many a tool for editing adding stuff to rom including lang packs ect, he has also implemented the update part of the rom full so it does incremental updates to his rom every week over the air, he might have info u need
