Guest allseeing Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Check that date and time(zone) are correct But the problem starts now after about 24h of using the rom, I have install apps earlier today:o
Guest zivotinjnja Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 But the problem starts now after about 24h of using the rom, I have install apps earlier today:o I have the same problem but it's my own fault, I replaced old market with the new one and since then the problems started, when I try to install an app from market I get error "insufficient space". When I changed back to old Vending.apk and wiped app cache, the problem still remains. I will wait for the new update and flash it, so far I have downloaded from the market everything I need so it doesn't affect me that much :) Which market version do you have?

Go to recovery and wipe cache partition, dalvik cache and fix permissions (for good measure) and you should be set. I've had this problem several times. It's not the rom I promise. Give it a try I'm using the new mkt with zero problems as we speak. :) Edited September 20, 2011 by Raycaster3

Guest zx322a Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 i love the miui rom, running great on my sensation
Guest theseanteam Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Maybe this might help, but it seems like I get the FC-loop bug whenever I use the folders. I like to organize everything into folders for a cleaner look and everything seems stable. Then I want to add an app and then I get the dreaded FC issue. I wipe the Launcher data and everything is fine. I can go back and put everything in the folder, but if I add an app again, I get the FC issue. Are those of you experiencing the FC-loop bug using folders? Hope this is a lead to killing this bug once and for all. Anyway, thanks Trip. Your efforts are definitely appreciated. Please ignore the whining demanding babies and haters and keep it going.

Guest Fusion600 Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 (edited) Good find about the folders, I hope it is the reason. I have never had these issues and I do not use folders. Bluetooth works Awesome with this app, and my battery is the BEST I have ever seen on the sensation. 14hrs. of moderate use and I still have 56% Left!!!!! Thanks TRIP, Definitely the best Sensation ROM out there! Edited September 20, 2011 by Fusion600
Guest Raycaster3 Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 Yes, i am using folders as well when I get the bug. I am using folders and do not have the fc launcher issue. I have several folders (like 6) and I just made one and moved a bunch of apps into it and out of it and no fc to be found. Sorry guys...
Guest Lootes Posted September 20, 2011 Report Posted September 20, 2011 (edited) I just did an experiment. I put all my apps in one folder. Got rid of all extra pages except for two. Downloaded an app, no problem. I upped the folder to 4, my usual number. Downloaded an app, force closure. Didn't try two or three folders so not sure the threshold is. I may just be a combination on our devices of pages, folder quantity, widgets. Who knows what the magic mix is that is causing this. I normally have two pages, four folders, and the clock widget on one page and beweather on the other. I am going to try this again without the be weather page. Pain in the but having to continually add the apps to folders but let's see if i can narrow down my issue Edit: Just tried it without BeWeather widget, four pages, two to left of home screen one to right. Second folder caused force closure. Edit 2: This is interesting, I am still in Market and after it says installed I get the launcher force close pop up. If I select force close, then uninstall app from the market, the force closure goes away. Ray, how many folders do you have per screen? Nevermind, I thought if I moved a folder to a different screen that might fix it, still force closing on me. Edit 3: Sorry it happens with 3 folders, I forgot about My Tools that you start off with. I am using the new market by the way. Edited September 20, 2011 by Lootes
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) its just idc about bt last time i used bt is like 2006 on my se w810i and i dont care about Quadrant that much its just for me to see how fast this is.. i had stock sense roms that scored high aosp roms that scored incredible and on the intro post it says scores 30% higher then an aosp so i did the bench and it was even lower then an atrix.. couldn't play modern combat 2 even slice it lags so thats why i use this kernel now and asked for some kernel improvements for the stock kernel that comes with this rom. and i dont overclock.. 1.5ghz is the stock speed but htc underclocked it to 1.2.. i want it 1.5 because i paid for and 1.5 HTC didn't underclock anything. Read the specs. The chip was originally produced to run at 1.2. It was found to be capable "supposedly' to run up to 1.5 on "larger devices" such as tablets, netbooks etc. Original Benchmark testing: Here's one of the original articles. http://smartphoneben...agon-processor/ The Processor's original spec was 1.2 So yes, you can see later specs state 1.2-1.5 but that based on testing, and specific intended devices. It's up to a company such as HTC whether they want to push the specs. The original Sensation, Not the current XE was based on using the original spec. It's basically a sematic argument at this point. But to claim that HTC UNDERCLOCKS a chip is bogus. 1.2 is the original spec and that's what HTC chooses to uses. That's my only beef with your statement. Yes, it can safely run at 1.5. But no, there was never any intentional or non intentional underclocking since 1.2 is the design spec. EDIT: Third-generation products: MSM8260, MSM8660 and QSD8672 with dual-CPU architecture featuring enhanced cores running at up to 1.2GHz and 1.5GHz, respectively This last line in that PDF article is what's really misleading. It basically states that it can run at 1.5 but if you read other articles, the explanation was to allow it to go up that high based on uses in Other than smartphones and they gave Tablets and Netbooks as the examples. I suppose that eventually smartphone companies that use this processor decided it was safe enough to push it to the higher end spec, but that was NOT it's original incarnation or use on a smartphone. This article on references Qualcomm and has no references to HTC, BTW. Edited September 21, 2011 by Docmjldds
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I flashed EVERY version Trip released and they all work great with no problems. I even posted instructions on how I flash my phone because I don't have all the problems people are posting here. Like Trip said, I don't understand why people are having these problems. Benchmark scores are stupid. We all have the same phone and it is not a slow phone. There is no reason anyone should be basing anything off of a high score unless you want to brag, you want no features, you want more FC, you want overheating or you want horrible battery life. +1...well said. Glad to see others wanting features to work. The phone is plenty fast. Maybe I'm in a minority to want to use my phone as a phone, instead of a gaming device. I like my games at times to for diversions, but that isn't why I pay T-Mobile a ridiculous amount of money every moth to support a 4 smartphone family. But I'm sure that there will be opposing views. Nothing wrong with that either. Maybe those users can just nandroid or use one of those dual boot apps.
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 man this whole ROM is turning into a pre-madonna fest...i want i want i want, how bout everyone just lets the dev create whatever HE wants and you be happy hes even doing it...this is probably the best ROM of the phone minus a glitch here or there but thats also why its a BETA and not a stable release...you come into this knowing full well there are issues, if you cant get over a low quadrant score that means absolutely nothing, go back to your sense ROM, jeebus!!!.....get up the awesome work TRIP, some of us still appreciate your work! 100% agreement, but I think after reading he can't fix the camera flash because it IS kernel related is not going to go over to well. Or am I reading this wrong :(

Weird
Guest Bxsteez Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Can anyone point me in the direction of a working Gingerbread theme? I've been searching for like 5hrs.
Guest Lootes Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I tried with old market, same issue. Not sure why this effecting some and not others. Definitely weird.

Hmm try pushing the launcher from beta 1B. Maybe that will do it. That's how I fixed the email fc loop with 2B (using 1B apk)..I mean. What've you got to lose? Btw I'm on my decide full battery cycle on this build and it's definitely not too easy on the battery. Still beautiful and I WILL NOT run anything else. Edited September 21, 2011 by Raycaster3

Guest electrikblues Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Hi all - I love this ROM, and so decided to sign up - thanks a lot Trip! On the launcher FC issue, I think I might now what is causing it. Basically, if you use a 5X4 layout and install a new app, the launcher tries to install the app in a 4X4 layout instead, and if there is no space, the launcher starts FCing. This is what happened to me: 1. Three pages 2. Page 1: Notes widget 3. Page 2 (home): 2X4 clock plus three rows of app icons 4. Page 3: PowerAmp large widget (4X4) Now whenever I try to install an app, I get a force close. I tried this out several times, but had FCs each time. Which leads me to believe that the launcher/MIUI doesn't recognize the extra 5th row, and for some reason cannot add a new page to install an app if all the other pages are taken. I've had to revert to a 4X4 layout to stop the launcher FCs. I hope all of that made sense!
