Guest xftox Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 hay does anyone have a problem when on wifi it disconnects all datat and resets itself after 5 minutes of use
Guest electrikblues Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Trip (and others) I've searched the thread, and still just wanted to know: if I use DSP manager, does that activate TAPS, Beats, Bravia etc.? Because without DSP manager the sound is quite low, so was just wondering what I needed to do to damage my ears! ;)
Guest Lootes Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Electric, I think you may be on to something there. I don't think the work around for qhd display is ideal but still not sure why it is effecting some and not others. X, I haven issues with wifi.
Guest Gazza10 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Hi Guys, my first post! Have been a lurker here for a while and thought that it is time for me to provide some feedback on this rom. I followed the Doc here from XDA as I remember his words of wisdom and help from the Nexus One forums. No more bad blocks, Doc! I have flashed each Alpha/Beta release and there have been significant improvements each time. Coming from the early MIUI days with my Nexus One I always format my SD Card, full wipe System, Data, Cache etc. 3 times and then flash. This ensures that there are no gremlins left from my previous flashes/downloads. I have all of my programs in a flashable add on zip so it does not take me long to get setup. GPS, data, Wi-Fi etc. are all working fine. So far the only problem is with Bluetooth media. The phone calls using my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 Bluetooth headset are crystal clear, but notifications, alarms, music etc. do not stream. I have to toggle the media connection in settings so that they play via the speaker. In CM7 there is an option to play notifications, call ring tones and alarms via speaker, but cannot find this in Trips rom. Overall experience is good with great sound! If the Bluetooth streaming to my SE headset is fixed then I will be a very happy camper. Trips, keep up the good work and I will continue to flash your updates in the future! Kind regards, Gary

What kernel do you have installed? Dit you make changes in build.prop? Extended settings flashed? All those things brake TAPS...

Hopefully you will be able to include this in your B7 rlease. Kind regards, Gary

It's all stock - the kernel is the stock that came with the ROM, and I didn't make any changes in build.prop or flash ES. So I'm not sure why my sound is so low :(
Guest Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Installed your ROM yesterday and must say it's a hundred times better than all the Sense crap currently available. It looks slick as well. Only problem I have is that the sound is very distorted (I think youngsters would call it 'heavy bass boost' which is supposed to sound better) so is there any way to turn that off?
Guest theseanteam Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Hi all - I love this ROM, and so decided to sign up - thanks a lot Trip! On the launcher FC issue, I think I might now what is causing it. Basically, if you use a 5X4 layout and install a new app, the launcher tries to install the app in a 4X4 layout instead, and if there is no space, the launcher starts FCing. This is what happened to me: 1. Three pages 2. Page 1: Notes widget 3. Page 2 (home): 2X4 clock plus three rows of app icons 4. Page 3: PowerAmp large widget (4X4) Now whenever I try to install an app, I get a force close. I tried this out several times, but had FCs each time. Which leads me to believe that the launcher/MIUI doesn't recognize the extra 5th row, and for some reason cannot add a new page to install an app if all the other pages are taken. I've had to revert to a 4X4 layout to stop the launcher FCs. I hope all of that made sense! Interesting note... along those same lines, when I do a Titanium Back-up install, or even a new app install, it pretends the last row doesn't exist and always puts things 4x4. I think you are on to something...
Guest theseanteam Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I have all of my programs in a flashable add on zip so it does not take me long to get setup. Hey Gary! How does one create a flashable zip of all the apps? Would love to do this. Would make ROM installation so much more enjoyable. Thanks!
Guest theviruz Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 any release date for beta 7?

Would make ROM installation so much more enjoyable. Thanks! I use a zip that was from one of the forums, but can't remember which one. It has data/app, system/app and system/media directories and just add your apk files and it does the rest during the flash as well as fix permissions. Kind regards, Gary

Hopefully Version7 will fix as i have had to revert to Insertcoin - sense. I was a CM7 hater (on the sensation anyway) and only flashed this to see what the fuss was, WOW i really have been missing ALOT cant wait for next release Trip GREAT WORK!
