Guest zivotinjnja Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I use a zip that was from one of the forums, but can't remember which one. It has data/app, system/app and system/media directories and just add your apk files and it does the rest during the flash as well as fix permissions. Kind regards, Gary Can you upload it?

Guest Raycaster3 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) DSP Manager kills TAPS, you dont need to do anything to turn it on. What kernel do you have installed? Dit you make changes in build.prop? Extended settings flashed? All those things brake TAPS... I haven't flashed anything but the rom and my vol is very quiet unless I use dsp manager. It bumps when I do though... Edited September 21, 2011 by Raycaster3
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I haven't flashed anything but the rom and my vol is very quiet unless I use dsp manager. It bumps when I do though... Just having DSP manager on the ROM is the same thing as killing his stuff. I may be wrong but this is same as users that tried to use DSP manager and Volume+ at same time. Developer of Volume+ stated to NOT even install DSP manager. Not sure uninstalling would change anything. You probably are either using Titanium backup or had used MIUI Backup and restored. Only thing I could think of to prove a point is either a clean new install, or at least a data wipe and then reinstall on top. But...I may be wrong :) BTW...I wanted to just see CM7 version 4 running so I installed it. Using DSP manager and using PowerAmp, my favorite music app with a slew of equalizer sliders, the sound is pretty darn good and loud for me.

Guest Shai Levi Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Just want to say thank you for an excellent rom.

I agree with Ray here, version 5B was AMAZING on sound quality, but it seems like version 6B fell several notches. Not sure what happened.
Guest 超级大水果 Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 When will the 007 release? i can't wait anymore~

Guest TripNRaVeR Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 If you did restore data you will also brake TAPS, i flash maybe 50x times a day the new version and always full format clean install and TAPS always running with very very loud volume. If you brake TAPS once you will need to full wipe before it gets enabled again. Dont forget TAPS itself is ALPHA.. so therefore no options to turn parts on or off. The system runs completely standlalone and on itself. It makes his own decissions wether to brake or run. I dont know why it completely shutsdown when something changed the system tough. I do know that when i removed xLoud the TAPS system was gone and i need to do full wipe before the sound even got an acceptable volume. So restoring data brakes it down completely.

So I restored desktop, wifi settings, system settings, notes, and messages. Which one would break it? All of them or one? I mean to have TAPS enabled I wouldn't mind manually doing stuff but if I can restore some of my settings that would be cool. Well rereading what you wrote I'm guessing I can't restore anything data related... what about my apps? Can I restore them? Just to make dire since I really don't like rearranging all of my apps, restoring data for launcher will definitely break TAPS? Thanks for all of your hard work! And I will definitely not restore data so I can hear this TAPS everyone raves about. So far I'm guessing I haven't experienced it at all since I always restore my desktop and messages and settings. I'm glad you pinpointed why it wasn't functioning. I was starting to think I was losing it. ;)

Gotta have my music thumpin when I lift. Lol
