Guest TripNRaVeR Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 There wasnt a change with bluetooth in the new kernel, if it was working with the old kernel from 0072B then it does now, if it wasnt working then now it wont work either.

Guest An Binh Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Thanks TRIP for the update! How can i return to the stock fonts? the fonts that inclued the rom not view unicode ( Vietnamese) properly.
Guest Fusion600 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 First time around with 007 I got the Nor service issue for the first time ever. That was after doing a "Superwipe" and a manual wipe of all cache including the Dalvik. I was bummed and went back to 006 after doing a Superwipe.... I woke this morning to find a new kernel patch to fix the Market and thought I would like to verify that it worked. Did my usual mumbo jumbo cleaning, installed 007 and the new kernel and EVERYTHING IS WORKING FOR ME NOW!!!! All this to say I don't think there is anything wrong with this ROM and that t is a device issue. At least it as for me. Thanks Trip! :D

I use Bluetooth to make calls from my car. Bluetooth turns on, can see my car, I can begin the pairing process (where you put in the code), but it will not complete the connection. In previous versions, I could pair with no problem. I have some Bluetooth headphones I can test audio (and calls) with, but they're probably dead.
Guest brian denmark Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 New to forum but i LOVE this rom. Been following you alot Trip, I just dont post mucon forums. Sorry for being one of those not saying "THANKS ALOT" enough. Only issue that holds me back from the rom is that I am from Denmark and the letters æøå look weired some places inside rom, keyboard, smart keyboard pro, browser and other downloaded browsers. Cant seem to get them to look like æøå but instead they look as weired symbols. Dunno what to do.

Guest CursedBat Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Honestly, though i'm new to this, i think we need a better camera for this. I cant seem to zoom & its lacking Sensation's "Instant Capture" which was a pretty big selling point.
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Honestly, though i'm new to this, i think we need a better camera for this. I cant seem to zoom & its lacking Sensation's "Instant Capture" which was a pretty big selling point. Sheesh...there's no pleasing anyone. Up till now, there has been NO camera flash, that works. The instant capture is a function of the Sense camera. This is NOT a sense ROM. Sorry to be so blunt, but if you want instant capture, you probably will have to just go back to the Sense Roms. Zoom "may" be doable down the road. I doubt the instant capture will be. Just my 2c...but after waiting till now to have a flash work, I'm ecstatic.
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) There wasnt a change with bluetooth in the new kernel, if it was working with the old kernel from 0072B then it does now, if it wasnt working then now it wont work either. Going to test BT with my car in a few. In the meantime, all I did was edit two lines in build.prop...product model and product brand references to state HTC Sensation 4G. Then use an mms.apk file I will upload, plus edit the APN to just using a single file which includes the proxy 216.155.165.50 and port 8080 used with the default, supl, mms reference APN, reboot and I now have full sized MMS. I initially had to first install GoSMSPro, set mms file size to 1.2M and use the next tab for preserving formatting set to on. See attached. In GoSMSPro it shows 244Kb file. In the stock messaging app it says 1Kb which as stated in all my priors on your rom...is impossible. I would just ignore that 1Kb reference. I did send this pix I am posting using the stock message app. After it does show a full sized image, but with that 1Kb reference, I am posting the pix details when opening SMSPro http://hotfile.com/d...ff/Mms.apk.html EDIT: Will work on wifi calling later. Want to test BT then go back to sleep :D Edited September 23, 2011 by Docmjldds
Guest gogicar Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) I can't send File over BT to my PC ... doesn't working ... and this kernel eats battery :] or not =D Edited September 23, 2011 by gogicar
Guest TripNRaVeR Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) You did brake TAPS by changing product brand and model. Brand needs to be exactly "TripNDroid Mobile Eng." (without quotes) Model needs to be "pyramid" (without quotes) OR Brand as before Device needs to be exactly "htc_pyramid" (without quotes) otherwise be ready for some troubles  you need to make sure you match at least 1 as described above or the upper one or the bottom one, if not system will start messing arround Edited September 23, 2011 by TripNRaVeR
Guest CursedBat Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Currently i'm just having problems with titanium Backup. Just reflashed the rom from 06 to 072 and i lost every setting and app. Any idea on which backup app is working?

The truck finds the phone, sends the request to the phone to enter the pairing code, but never finishes the pairing. I am at work now, so can't do anymore testing, but wanted to update my "everything is working" post. I didn't do extensive bluetooth testing at home, My PC saw the phone so I made the assumption it still worked as before. The Truck experience proves a little different. With all my other differing experiences with the same ROM, it could just need another Superwipe/manual wipe to be perfect, I will do more testing tonight when I get home.

MMS files stay at 10-22KB size postage stamps unless I change the name. BTW, BT will pair but NOT connect so I am confirming what some other users show. I would expect I will have the wifi calling NOT work either. But to test my theory, since MMS IS working now, I am going to edit the names back and see what happens. Crossing fingers on this. NOT trying to break your stuff. Just trying to be able to function on my end

Guest zivotinjnja Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 With the original kernel, as well as the updated one, I still have the no service problem unfortunately. That's why I'm using this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17578308&postcount=1239 and everything works perfectly for me and my needs (I am not using miui stock launcher, neither bluetooth). I didn't notice anything gets less louder or any other problems. I would rather use Trip's kernel but until it's fixed I have to stay with this one. Market problem can be solved by wiping cache from recovery.
Guest Alphawolf36 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Trip, I just want to say thanks. But for ruining my judgement of other android phones. You have raised the bar to the point where I think if its not running Tripns latest... it garbage! And my girlfriend will be mad at u too in future when its time for upgrade again and I explain I might need to buy 2 phones cause I have to send you one... cause I wont use any other rom! Thanks man. :) 007b is amazing!!!! Edited September 23, 2011 by Alphawolf36
Guest Raycaster3 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 It is one of the program apk's that has been installed in system/app. I use Launcher Pro, which is why I wrote menu, downloads. On your setup there must be a download icon either in tools folder, or on the desktop. Apologies for not being clearer Kind regards, Gary I got it thanks

Guest Raycaster3 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Ok! Have fun with it. Fixed kernel; Now you can download from market again. Maybe this fixes more stuff i didnt test it further. http://www.mediafire.com/?qdxzttu9j7e4ys3 Thanks trip! I hope all of us didn't come across as ungrateful. Appreciate all you do and all your hard work.
Guest Valerio191 Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 Will we get 5x4 grid back in near future without FC?
Guest Docmjldds Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Next update has native support for VOIP and internet calls etc. So hopefully this will help to solve the issues for blegh TMOUS blegh Well, I just confirmed back to midget pix...15KB on the prior 244. Ahem....some of us can't help where we were born..It's not as if we had control over the issues  Now I have to come back with a good reference for blegh Euro types :D VOIP..now were talking. I'm one of the first Vonage customers when they initially started up their VOIP circa 2002. But don't know how that would help MMS. Anyways, other than quality of the sound, what physical means is there to verify that TAP is not broken. Edited September 23, 2011 by Docmjldds
Guest theviruz Posted September 23, 2011 Report Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) Tripnraver did you tried libthc_ril.so from cm7 because this will fix the no service bug the no service bug comes not from a bad kernel, cm7 fixed it with the new .so file Edited September 23, 2011 by theviruz
