Guest yellowperil Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 had mine nearly 3 months, and then stopped charging, device is still in repair (3 weeks now) still no word on when I will get it back, not very happy with the repair process at all....
Guest unrandomsam Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 I wonder whether Blade is a handset with high quality or it is a rickety one given that people in my country generally think little of domestic brands Quality control was pretty poor (Think its getting better though).
Guest Hjanos Posted September 18, 2011 Report Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) I have my Blade since December 2010. My friend has his Blade since December too. No problems so far. Edited September 18, 2011 by Hjanos
Guest ChainSOV Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Mine has gradually collected dust and even small hairs under the screen. The Touchscreen also became unresponsive and faulty in one corner if pressed too hard. I am not sure if it was my fault or not, I might have pressed it too hard a few times while playing pro evolution soccer. I should be more resistant to just squeezing with bare hands though. Wife's phone is dropping calls pretty often. Not sure if its a hardware fault or she just has magical ears that can bypass any screenlock on several ROMs, I couldn't reproduce it myself.
Guest Maxsas360 Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 My phone dropped calls and I fixed it by calibrating proximity. I think I was pressing end call button with my cheek :D And even dust under screen is a hardware fault
Guest Xenon0816 Posted June 19, 2012 Report Posted June 19, 2012 man my blade never even had the smallest problem. For that price i expected it to break after 1 year, but it's still as good as new (the software obviously even better... much better!)

Couldn't agree more, not only is my amold blade bought Xmas 2010 still working fine, its one of very few android phones still a normal size, e.g fits in your pocket without noticing bulk, add to that I player,YouTube e.t.c half decent games, music player, web browser, GPS, compass + lots more. Its all I really need in a phone/ media player.Still happy 2 years on.

Guest maniac_mouse Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 Bought mine when it was first released (Oct or Nov 2010 i think) and its still working perfectly, even the battery hasnt really deteriated much and its been used heavily. The amoled screen still looks amazing and, yeah, as others have said, its small size is a plus in many ways. One of the best uses i have ever put £110 pounds to :)
Guest Shahmatt Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 My digitizer began to die on me. Got a replacement off ebay. My OSF was bought March 2011. But somehow I think other phones may not be very much better really!
Guest wookie16081965 Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 Bought mine when first releashed havnt had a single problem with phone just a couple of roms lol
Guest Un4got10 Posted June 27, 2012 Report Posted June 27, 2012 I had two blades, both of them were from uzbek operator: Ucell. First and Second device has problems with CPU/GPU, bcz when i play games on it, watch photos in stock gallery or do something hard, it reboots... I overclocked both of them, and I think that problems came from this... They changed me the first Blade, because of this problem, but the warranty time has ended and now i suffer from this problem... btw... It always reboots on ICS, but I don't want to come back to 2.3 x_x
Guest sssingletrack Posted June 28, 2012 Report Posted June 28, 2012 I've had mine since December last year, despite dust under the screen(working in engineering?) And a poor earpiece(very recently gone really quiet, might be the rom)

This means you have too high a clock speed and you should reduce it immediately. If you keep your phone at this state you will just burn out your CPU and have a dead phone pretty soon. It's pretty amazing that your service provider actually changed the phone after an overclock. I'm pretty sure that changing the default clock frequency would void the warranty.

Guest ChainSOV Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 My first Blade died after meeting a wall at high velocity :D My second has no dust issues and the screen works better, but after a while it started disconnecting the sd-card, which is very annoying I cant compare it to other smartphones, because its my 1st and only one, but i would say the build quality is shitty, 3 out of 3 of my phones have issues.
Guest vermat17 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 My blade (bought in December 2010) is still running absolutely fine, and only has a few scratches on the sides :D Build quality isn't that bad tbh...
