Guest Isascaboy89 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Posted November 5, 2011 Hi maddock, i'm an italian user...what kind of problem do you have with your keyboard?? Mine is working perfectly, maybe you have to reboot twice or three times like i've done to have a fully usable physical keyboard
Guest erikcas Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Uploaded fresh kernel to google project page download section. Changes: - phj rev 181 Froyo Beta3 kern 2.6.32 - accelerometer adjusted to B7610. Autorotate behaves as expected - Homekey assigned to W&L key Compass is still a problem. It is off 90 degrees and behaving jumpy. If someone has ideas, let me know. For kernelsource of compass driver, see here.

Guest inf3rn0 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) I can confirm that portrait landscape is still inverted. Another bug - Menu button broken (almost ALL! buttons broken) pressing button the screen goes black and launcherpro seems to restart; long pressing EndCall worked to reboot and revert back to REV75 :( Greetings, Inf3rn0 Edited November 6, 2011 by inf3rn0

Another bug - Menu button broken ~ pressing button the screen goes black and launcherpro seems to restart. Reverting back to REV75 :( I am checking on a fresh install now. Can you tel me where you checked the landscape/portrait positions? I checked on both homescreen, gallerey and gallery-preview in cam (the little picture bottom-right) Edit: Confirmed. I am checking what is wrong. There is nothing wrong with the menu key. Nothing is changed in that driver, or in key assignment. For keyboard only qwerty.kl is changed for W&L key. This is tested before and confirmed working Edited November 6, 2011 by erikcas

I am checking what is wrong I first enabled autorotate in launcherpro again (i never want to see this in landscape - dont mind to test though) then i enabled autorotate in android settings (if i recall correctly this is disabled in fresh install too) then checked rotation with lp & opera mini Edited November 6, 2011 by inf3rn0
Guest matriX1218 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 @erik here are my findings... If I hold the phone landscape (left side), the phone goes to landscape but cant switch to portrait.. If I hold the phone landscape (right side), the phone goes to portrait and not reversed... If I hold the phone reverse in portrait mode, the phone goes to landscape other side... @Inf3rn0 I don't have such problems... Try to update again...and multiple reboot.
Guest inf3rn0 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 @Inf3rn0 I don't have such problems... Try to update again...and multiple reboot. Thanks for thinking with me, but thats not the issue; i manually installed the update, so most things *should* get loaded first try. Greetings, Inf3rn0

Checking it now. Not confirming the menu key. Must be related to your install

Guest Isascaboy89 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 So it seems that this version of kernel isa bit buggy at the moment...no problem, i really appreciate the hard work of developers... I will patiently wait for a new kernel. If i could be helpful in some way just let me know
Guest erikcas Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Kernel is not that buggy.. I just make a mistake somewhere with patching it to B7610. It compiles right from my testdirectory, but if I compile from Google Project dir, something goes wrong. But I will find the problem ;)
Guest erikcas Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Problem found. For sensors working, I included libs from spica for sensor to work, so I have to include the binary also. Will repack the update with it. Corrected update will be available in an hour.

Just put it on my storage with zImage, where haret is and then boot. Does frb3update.tar.gz disappear from my storage after boot? If not, you are on beta2. Then rename to frb2upate.tar.gz Edited November 6, 2011 by erikcas
Guest erikcas Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) Corrected download available Sensor reacts slow. Will look into this Edit: Problem uploading to Google Project Please wait, have to search alternative Edited November 6, 2011 by erikcas

Then rename to frb2upate.tar.gz It still there.i think the android is b3...because when it starts,Screen will display a picture with wrods..
Guest erikcas Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) It still there.i think the android is b3...because when it starts,Screen will display a picture with wrods.. You did download rev51? Download latest! Picture with words is in the zImage. Does not matter if it is beta2 or beta3 for that. Beta2 has different settings in loadmod on filesysten. It is looking for frb2update.tar.gz Beta3's loadmod is looking for frb3update.tar.gz Edited November 6, 2011 by erikcas
Guest erikcas Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) Rev 80 corrected is now available on google project Sensor still is slow. I will try to correct it to the current akmd2 from org beta3 It feels like it works smoother, but correcting it is harder Note: My android froze after update. Just pulled battery and booted again, working fine Edit: Found right corrections for akmd2 from original beta3. Will test it. Seems smoother. Edited November 6, 2011 by erikcas
