very strange

i can connect to wifi

i can go to the router config page (192.168.1.1) but i can't go to the internet

it must not be the router 's problem since i am using the notebook with wifi on it

i am sure i have never sleep the phone since booted

hope it can be solved

Is this network hidden? What settings it has?

Is this network hidden? What settings it has?

It is strange i can connect to the router too through wifi but the internet doesn't works huh.gif Maybe the WPA2/PSK security setting is the reason?!

EDIT: It's definitely not the security setting...

In logs I see, that DNS isn't set. Network is hidden or not?

I guess I'm late but I got very happy when I saw the new beta topic haha

Thanks to all devs for their great effort and patience during this project! :)

As soon as I get some spare time i'll try this new beta

Thanks again

What would happen if I stayed with the USB cable connected, but I'm not.

Is there something wrong with my partitions?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Should be Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p5 init=/init" but you can try p6 or p7.

But read the first post, i guess we have to set this:

setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1

pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3

pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805

pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7

pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0

pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11

pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80

Note3: Manual install example: if You have two partitions on SD card (first vfat, second ext4) You should set in startup.txt following: root: /dev/mmcblk0p2. Full file example for this:

Set ramsize 180*1024*1024

Set mtype 1626

Set ramaddr 0x50000000

Set kernelcrc 1

Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 init=/init console=ttySAC2,115200"

setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1

pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3

pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805

pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7

pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0

pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11

pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80

boot

If the partition is My Storage, does this information change?

setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1

pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3

pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805

pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7

pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0

pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11

pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80

no I think the omniaII and b7610 are different hardwares, and this kernel is for omniaII

Don't get it tough.. Everything is working well, dmesg show no error. The only thing I am missing, is the simcard. Can't import contacts or someting from it. It does not see it. Not giving up yet :)

my wifi internet is not ok, just can connetc to www.google.com site and nothing more...

If You can connect to google, so dns should be ok. please post following command result:

getprop|grep dns

No it isn't hidden it just locked with wpa-psk/wpa2-psk

Ok for testing uncomment these two entries in build.prop and reboot:

#net.dns1=8.8.4.4

#net.dns2=8.8.8.8

It's not a solution, but please check it.

If the partition is My Storage, does this information change?

setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1

pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3

pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805

pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7

pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0

pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11

pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80

No. It's common.

pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0

pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11

pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80

It was so

Set ramsize 180*1024*1024

Set mtype 1626

Set ramaddr 0x50000000

Set kernelcrc 1

Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p5 init=/init console=ttySAC2,115200"

pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11

pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80

boot

Still dies on the screen pink!

I format the partition twice ... in EXT4

What else should I try? :o

Its been a couple of hours since i installed it and no SOD or anything bad so far.

Wifi is working, I installed a few applications from the market (applications that in beta1 didn't work for me like RunKeeper). I can play music, surf the web and make calls :)

With beta1 my phone was too hot after a while and the battery drained just too fast but this is not happening anymore with beta2!

Thanks devs for making all this possible!!

For the record, my phone is a I8000L.

Any1 else stuck on the android logo screen?

It has the light reflection, but then the refletion stops and a few secs later it goes black for a few seconds like it starting but goes back to the light going across the logo looks like its stuck in a loop.

You know, we managed to run android on omnia, when the half of the device driver were missing

It did strange things, sometime freezes....

for b7610 when you got unhealth battery message that means the battery temperature sensor is on different adc channel

(different HW) and you got the touchscreen adc value as battery temperature. Everything works but not correctly.

And it is not complicate to fix if you know the hw and know which adc channel is for battery temperature.

In this omnia kernel we managed to set all device driver set correctly according to the real hw.

If you had the hw schematics for b7610 it could be easy to change this kernel, because the difference it not to big

(I do not have)

Only some gpios are different, different wlan chip on sdio interface not spi....
