Guest bsbsbs
You mean the extra settings in your startup.txt with that? no I think the omniaII and b7610 are different hardwares, and this kernel is for omniaII

Guest alabama20
Is this network hidden? What settings it has? It is strange i can connect to the router too through wifi but the internet doesn't works Maybe the WPA2/PSK security setting is the reason?! EDIT: It's definitely not the security setting... Is there something wrong with my partitions? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Should be Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk1p5 init=/init" but you can try p6 or p7. But read the first post, i guess we have to set this: setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1 pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3 pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805 pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7 pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0 pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11 pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80 Edited September 17, 2011 by rom_omnia2
Guest rom_omnia2
Note3: Manual install example: if You have two partitions on SD card (first vfat, second ext4) You should set in startup.txt following: root: /dev/mmcblk0p2. Full file example for this: Set ramsize 180*1024*1024 Set mtype 1626 Set ramaddr 0x50000000 Set kernelcrc 1 Set CMDLINE "rootdelay=2 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 init=/init console=ttySAC2,115200" setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1 pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3 pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805 pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7 pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0 pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11 pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80 boot If the partition is My Storage, does this information change? setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1 pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3 pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805 pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7 pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0 pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11 pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80 Edited September 17, 2011 by rom_omnia2

Guest voyteckst
my wifi internet is not ok, just can connetc to www.google.com site and nothing more... If You can connect to google, so dns should be ok. please post following command result: getprop|grep dns No it isn't hidden it just locked with wpa-psk/wpa2-psk Ok for testing uncomment these two entries in build.prop and reboot: #net.dns1=8.8.4.4 #net.dns2=8.8.8.8 It's not a solution, but please check it. If the partition is My Storage, does this information change? setbitp 0x7F008808 5 1 pfw 0x7f005800 4 0x3 pfw 0x7f005804 4 0x805 pfw 0x7f005808 4 0x7 pfw 0x7f00580c 4 0x0 pfw 0x7f005828 4 0x11 pfw 0x7f00582c 4 0x80 No. It's common. Guest Chelonian
Its been a couple of hours since i installed it and no SOD or anything bad so far. Wifi is working, I installed a few applications from the market (applications that in beta1 didn't work for me like RunKeeper). I can play music, surf the web and make calls :) With beta1 my phone was too hot after a while and the battery drained just too fast but this is not happening anymore with beta2! Thanks devs for making all this possible!! For the record, my phone is a I8000L.

Not giving up yet :) You know, we managed to run android on omnia, when the half of the device driver were missing It did strange things, sometime freezes.... for b7610 when you got unhealth battery message that means the battery temperature sensor is on different adc channel (different HW) and you got the touchscreen adc value as battery temperature. Everything works but not correctly. And it is not complicate to fix if you know the hw and know which adc channel is for battery temperature. In this omnia kernel we managed to set all device driver set correctly according to the real hw. If you had the hw schematics for b7610 it could be easy to change this kernel, because the difference it not to big (I do not have) Only some gpios are different, different wlan chip on sdio interface not spi....
