Hello! Could you upload file to some other fileserver? I couldn`t download because of error

"(54) Connection reset by peer" Thanks!

Well, I will ask you guys if maybe someone has experienced similar problem with any 2.3 (zte leak) rom.

If I chooce GSM Only mode, therefore the battery drain should be lowest, correct? WCDMA should drain more, and it was tested&confirmed many times.

Now what is happening to me (and some of my friends), is that battery drain is right opposite; GSM only drains the battery in one day, no matter what, while WCDMA can last for 3 days. Ordinary you would say "Use 3G, what the heck!", but the problem is signal coverage. I cannot use it since almost half of a day I don't have signal coverage with 3G, only GSM.

Now, to turn the facts around, while I was on roaming this summer (3 times, different operator), GSM Only mode worked as it should, and the phone could last 4days+. While coming back to my country, to join my beloving operator, rapid draining started again.

If anyone can explain me why and how is this possible, I would be grateful.

And sorry for OT.

The funny thing is, that I am only trying your rom as I wanna see the difference in battery drain while in GSM Only mode. Now I installed CAE v1.3 without problem, because the boot.img is smaller (~3MB). As your rom is based on it, it really doesn't matter which one I try to figure out the battery drain.

Thanks again for the "cooperation" ;)

It is based on CAE 1.1...but i made a lot of changes since the first release....

Now it has another kernel (boot.img), libs from ZTE Skate rom, other libs and apps from CM7, so battery could be different.

Probably is hard for the mobile to keep a GSM connection (disturbs, far gsm antenna, weak signal) and for this reason it needs a lot of battery to keep the signal, while on 3G the signal is better.

That's what I thought, but the signal is almost perfect, and the coverage is logically even better. I forgot to mention, that there was no problem on 2.2 ROMs.

And just one suggestion: Monfro could you please change the green of the scrollbars to the AOSP or at least for the normal Gingerbread green?

- could the the lime green on the scroll bars be changed to something that is more relaxing for the eye?

For the moment the official rom remains with the lime green :)

Maybe in the future i will prepare other themes.

If you want to change the theme, i prepared this zip to revert to original gingerbread theme (wipe cache and dalvik, flash it with clockworkmod)

CRT Animation and Power Button options Reboot and Recovery will remain; only the theme is change to original gingerbread.

Are you being serious?

Please at least read a few posts on this forum before asking about overclocking.

Use the search facility.

Thermostat9... did you do a full wipe before installing this ROM?

If not, I recommend you wipe everything and reinstall the ROM.

Works fine here.

Thought I had.

Wiped again and did another install and it is now fine.

Nice ROM isn't it? Very quick.

this room will be awesome if you change:

1) launcher pro to Go launcher ex and of course add the launcher to system with this theme: https://market.andro...suavegolauncher

2) remove lime green of scroll bars (i know you post the patch, but in a new release you can implement it)

3) transparent status bar (1st option for my taste): http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1031106

I will waitlaugh.gif

keep the good work

Monfro, I enjoy so much your theme! Just the lime green, fails...

I agree with the substitution of the launcher, but the theme, each one use the one that it likes... For me, Go Launcher is really PERFECT with the stock theme. I don't like fancy things... and the stock is so pretty and clean.

I very like the CAE rom, and I flashed the version 3.1 last night. I found a bug in this version.

When I switch the input method to the X9T, the will out put an error message and the X9T cannot use.

I suggest that the X9T can be removed from the rom so the user can choose the input method what he like. Another suggest is that there is no alarm application in this rom, I think that many user need application, please add it into the next version.

after I installed the zip with CM7 dialer, contacts and sms/mms programs, the dialer was too buggy during calls (black screen).

I don't like ZTE softwares and do not appreciate their presence into this ROM.

Since CM7 nightlies are back, I reverted to it, it has so much more to offer (more tweaks/options, Android 2.3.7).

keep the good work

1) Trying Go Launcher atm. On ZTE Blade seems not as smooth as Launcher Pro, but it is fully customizable.

2) I will work on a theme and on the bars

3) I will watch at it.

Now i need some time, and some other apps/files/libs to update.

When ZTE Libra with Gingerbread will come out?!? And when an unbranded Skate?!?

XT9 is there mainly because is an app that ZTE leaked rom looks at. ZTE developers integrated it in rom, and the system wants it. This is why you should not remove it.

Other than that...don't use it...it is quite a bad keyboard.

Also android stock is not that good.

I suggest to use GO Keyboard: imo it is the best keyboard available for android...and it is free!!!

I use only GO Keyboard.

You need to calibrate sensor (mainly proximity sensor).

With ZTE Emode helper choose Sensor Test (*#26***#) and the calibrate (put the phone near your ear to calibrate proximity sensor well, or put a finger in front of it).

Just loaded this ROM.... amazing, so fast, so efficient. 4 hours of heavy use and no more battery drain than in Swedish spring Gen 1. Anyone who is itching to make the leap to 2.3 should try this ROM. The lock screen animation is brilliant :). brilliant work.

Maybe.. what rom are you actually using?

Hi Monfro,

I just want to let you know that I don't need a port of your really nice shutdown menu for GSF ROMs anymore.

I really hope you didn't already start the work on this request.

The reason is that I will be switching the firmware of my beloved Blade within the next few weeks. (I don't want to use something created by the founder of GSF anymore. @all: please do not comment this.)

Thanks again for your kind answer and for trying to be helpful.

Have a nice weekend!

Wolfgang

hello, I've just give it a try.

CM7 wiped, I installed Monfro CAE 3.1.

After that, I booted 1 time and did initial Android setup.

Then, I restarted my Blade into recovery to install CM dialer/sms/mms/contacts zip.

After 2nd boot, the CM dialer works OK except for this black screen bug.

I tried to calibrate the sensor with ZTE emote helper.

It told me that "Proxmity calibration is OK" but the last line "X: stop" remains with "Fail!" value...

Now incall, the screen stay always on.

It is more acceptable than always off.

But I know that my sensor is not dead since in CM7 nightly it works with no clue.

I've never had to calibrate my sensor even with others ROMs.

Since ZTE 2.3.5 official rom is out, the core of this rom is outdated now.

Burstlam and KonstaT already refined ZTE 2.3.5, so i suggest to use one of their rom, or CM7: with new kernel and latest patches it became really good. In a few days a new CM7 kernel will be merged, with notification leds working properly.
