Animated Weather for Android - Weather forecast application. The exquisitely realistic video effects of cloudiness, rain and snow provide the vivid sensation of current or future weather conditions for more than 50000 locations over the world. http://www.weather-android.com/ Video: Anyone has other suggestions or experience with the tons of weather apps out there? Guest Weezle Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 Elecont looks nicely polished and certainly has enough features for anyone, must admit I had never heard of it before. I tried a few weather apps in the past and was pretty happy with GO Weather - the animations, updates etc all worked well, the location was easy to set up (many apps struggle if your flag doesn't have stars and stripes on it), and live wallpapers etc can be downloaded to suit, but the deal clincher for me was the price point. It sounds kind of mean, but I will tend towards free apps before looking at paid apps, and I would be honestly surprised if I was the only one who thought that way about the majority of what I would consider putting on my phone. If it were an app that I needed for more professional reasons, then sure, I would consider paying to get the best for my needs but for something that is just on a curiosity level then I will always look at pricing before even considering the capabilities of the app.
Guest Alex Sam Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 I have just visited the above mentioned websites but I like Elecont Weather due to its amazing features and graphic/design. I am very much impressed with the features of this wonderful Weather App.

Guest peweleng Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 I work outdoors most days so a weather app is handy. I need an accurate forcast and the best there is for the UK is the met office weather app. It maybe not the prettiest but it has a good widget and you can get a lot of detailed weather info from the app once you get the hang of it. The Met Office app is completely free to download and use. The downside: it doesn't give forecasts outside the UK, otherwise it's brilliant

Guest Psicotix Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 I'd just like to recommend the Weather Underground app - quite simple, but the best thing is that you can select the local weather station to use. While many of these aren't up to the standards of the UK met office, it's very handy out here in Ireland where there are only around 12 stations used by Met.ie - worth remembering that all local weather stations will use Irish spelling of town names! On the whole I see a much greater accuracy with this application than with the standard weather reports from Google Now/Velvet or the Met.ie applications.
