Guest Leo Smutter Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 How to get back the "silly pop ups" of superuser.apk: I used Winrar to do this. 1. Open "AtOmIcMod-R7.zip" and drag/drop "su" from \system\bin\ to your desktop. Drag/drop "superuser.apk" from "\system\app" to your desktop. 2. Open "AtOmIcMod-R8.zip" and drag/drop "su" from your desktop to "\system\xbin" (Yes, xbin). Drag/drop "superuser.apk" from your desktop to "\system\app". 3. Save the "AtOmIcMod-R8.zip" and just update like you would with unmodded AtOmIc. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) The ROM has a 167mb system after 1st boot :) Just so people know. Im getting "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"every 5 seconds i allready tried reflashing. I will try redownloading but i dont think its going to work... EDIT: Tried flashing twice, then i redownload the ROM and flashed again i allways get the "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" every 5 seconds (I only flash the ROM nothing else) Edited February 27, 2012 by Wacky.ddw

Did you flash the contacts join in one go? I had the same problem, but if I don't flash the contacts join fix, there was no FC anymore... I removed 3 apk's: the live walpapers, atomic wallpapers and youtube (and installed them afterwards) and it's only 138 system, so perfect for larger data partition! (255Mb compared to the original 162Mb)
Guest JetKun Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Just tried this; and I think it isn't really my cup of tea. It's most likely that I'm a CyanogenMod buttlick.

I think it wasn't so difficult to say by other people, don't you think? It Works! THANK YOU SO MUCH LEO SMUTTER. Now I'll use R8!!! [paranoic mode OFF] Edited February 27, 2012 by unomesmo

Now I'll try your solution.. if it is ok, I'll thank you so much. I think it wasn't so difficult to say by other people, don't you think? In /system/xbin is 'su' and in the R7 it isn't... What I have to do with it, I have to leave, I have to delete?? Well I'll try anyway. Just follow exactly what i wrote, i'm using this mod right now. If you drag/drop the su-file into the xbin folder of the R8-zip, the old su in there will be overwritten obviously ;-). You should end up with a 22kb sized su from R7 in the XBIN-folder of R8 (and ONLY there!!!) and the superuser.apk in system/apps.
Guest Anthony1989 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Can anybody tell me what tpt would be best from the tpt thread on here please? option 1, 2 or 3? Thanks

Guest H3ROS Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 @ Leo Smutter I done it the other way around. I've stuck with my modded R7 and have added the bravia engine to it. R8 doesn't really have anything else I need, and I prefer the notification bar without the squished AtomicMod logo when in landscape view. be_movie and be_photo go into \system\etc\ com.sonyericsson.android.SwIqiBmp.xml goes into \system\etc\permissions\ com.sonyericsson.android.SwIqiBmp.jar goes into \system\framework\ libswiqibmpcnv.so goes into \system\lib\ Add the follow lines to build.prop: ro.service.swiqi.supported=true persist.service.swiqi.enable=1
Guest Anthony1989 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Tried everything but I can't get the fonts package on my phone, anybody no a step by step guide please?

Guest H3ROS Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Are you sure? I used windiff to compare R7 to R8 and they're all the changes I could find to do with the bravia engine. The only other major changes are linked to SystemUI.apk but that looks to be to do with theme tweaks and the brightness buttons. Thinking about it you could be on about how there are other changes to the ROM, but that's why I've stuck with R7, because for how I use the phone nothing appears broken and it does everything I need. Guest tillaz Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 So how to install properly from v4? And when are you gonna update the mods to R8? I only plan on updating the themes, its best people make there own battery mods since there are 8 new animations to choose from which change the whole framework, its very easy just a case of drag & drop... I will add a small and easy guide to first post
Guest jlgmax Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Got my Monte Carlo today and installed this ROM and its working great - except I have installed a hand full of apps and already its saying I have used 105mb and have 58mb free - is there any way to increase this by repartitioning without re-installing the ROM ? Thanks/

If I do a recovery backup can I change to 150mb system 2mb cache TPT and restore my Atomic 8 backup? Is there something about redirect cache I need?

Nice to know thanks :) i tough it was more but i installed titanium backup so that would be why it was more... Im going to use that TPT then, if you dont use that many apps you dont need an ext partition anymore right? Or do you still need that to redirect cache? I cant be the only one getting this error right? "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again"
Guest _ViSoR_ Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 tillaz, your ROM is perfect, thanks for your work. Is it possible to update tzdata library to have actual version right away after reflashing? I'm from Belarus and I need to update tzdata to have correct time zone on the phone. There is "TimeZone Fixer" app in the Android Market than can do necessary update. Thanks
Guest ebus Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 any chance of soft buttons or cm tablet tweaks like ice armour please

I have a 32gb sd card, any ideas ? i see this a very lot about link2SD... yet i never have this problem, so it got me thinking... where is the mount script placed when it is successfully created ??? i wonder if i can pull it form my device and upload it so people can just place the script in the right location letting them skip the "mount script" error.. any ideas where its placed? init.d ?
