I have great battery life after using the battery callibration app off the market.

But this Angry birds problem is really getting to me. Its the only game my wife wants and I just can't get it working. Any Ideas why it's messed up on atomic 2.0 tillaz?

Every version of "Angry birds" does not work or can someone else try a copy of the market? On my skate with atomic 2.0 I just get a small screen in the top left corner and graphics a tottaly messed up. I tried angry birds seasons, rio and standard but they all do the same. Tried version from my optimus 2x and thats the same.

Do you have any ideas how I can fix this?

try uninstalling angry birds, then go to task manager / aplications / market, then press wipe cache then force stop

then try redownloading

Works fine for me on 2 and 2.5. Are you using chainfire at all - because that could cause it.

v3 will have the best battery life i can get, and most stuff mentioned in other posts will be added, toggle 2g for example

i must admit though my battery life has been terrible ever since unlocking, but that's probably because after unlocking i constantly have full hsdpa signal

Then the 2G Toggle will definitely help you as well :)

No chainfire at all installed. I will try again with new build prob as I edited it so I could use v7 games and apps.

Some worked but many still failed but I had set my build prop file to make the market and apps see the phone as HTC Desire HD. Maybe that causing the problem.

I will post link to LG 2X vs Orange Monte Carlo as soon as it finishes uploading. It seems so slow to upload to youtube today.

Upload failed so going to reset my router and try again.

Thats faster now so upload won't be long. I am sure you will agree that screen size is negligible when you seen the video. :0)

Yes after updating the LG 2x to ginger I think you really can't get any better. LG also anounced that ICS will also become available for LG 2X ;0) Yay!!!

I will post a video of comparison for screen size and speed. I must say The screen is really sweet on the 2X and I really don't notice the size diff between the phone at all really.

I will post a video as soon as I finish uploading.

nice video, the screen size difference is that small i barley noticed it... defiantly getting one soon, keep the OMC as my second phone

What version is he using? Also does he have always on data enabled?

2.5 and yes.

Anyway, as soon as he comes back (he's spending the holidays elsewhere and won't be here until Jan 5th) I'll wipe everything and install v3 if it's already available.

That's strange, the screen size difference between the skate and the 2x seems low, but when the skate is compared to the galaxy s (another 4" display phone) sitting right next to me its quite a lot. I'm so confused right now!

I would say not to worry much at all about screen size. The LG screen is so crisp clear and bright it more than makes up. It is also more responsive to touch and more accurate to type on. I simply love the LG 2X

Unfortunately I have to worry about screen size due to my oversized hands, although I admitedly SwiftKey has helped a little bit with my lousy touch screen typing.

I've never had a dual core phone and am so darn tempted to get a 2x what with all the offers going on for it every few days (confirmed ICS update is a nice bonus too!), I can only imagine the speed of the device. I'm glad to hear the screen is nice and clear and of good quality, is it gorilla glass do you know?

If it's good enough I may just upgrade to one and keep my skate as an mp3/multimedia mini-tablet ;).

If you want a dual core phone a SGS2 is the best (aprt from the new galaxy nexus) which can be had for £300 ish new, an LG 2x has always been second best in just about every department to the SGS2 - is it worth £100 more probably not.

Yes but LG 2X was only £199 on amazon and keeps getting relisted at that price for short periods of time. I'm also sure it will get cheaper and cheaper as the new year gets going. SGS2 is noware near that price and the speed is again not woth the price diff. The same as the galaxy nexus price Vs performance comparison leaves the LG the winner in my book by a long way.

lg optimus 2x has a much better gpu (tegra 2 with 8 core's) than the SGSII, unless you get the Korean version that has the same tegra 2 chip set

EDIT: infact they have the same cpu... just the SGSII is clocked @ 1.2ghz, & the optimus 2x can be overclocked as high as 1.5ghz ..

so performance wize its not really better in my opinion, but beats it in other departments sutch as NFC support, super AMOLED ect

How smooth is go launcher? I fancy a change.

It is quite smooth... the only annoying thing is when you want to add an app to the home screen. You use to just press and hold the app and it would appear on the main screen, with go launcher there is another two steps involved.

You have to press and hold the app(standard action) then drag the app to the bottom. Up on doing so a preview of your screens appear and then you have to drag it back up to the screen you want to place the short-cut too. A bit fiddly with one hand and 4.3 screen.
