Guest DaveWebb Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 *edit* Having just checked, it seems this rom doesn't write the recovery partition, so this method won't work. Sorry about that! For anybody getting the status 7 error (for whom the TPT solution won't work) have a read of the following thread, and follow the instructions outlined in post #6. You'll need to download notepad++. This worked a charm when I was getting this error flashing previous roms. http://android.modac..._1#entry1850816 This worked for me, though it's named boot not recovery in this ROM. Now on Atomic V3. Thanks alot.
Guest H3ROS Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 I'd like to know if removing boot from the updater script is the way to fix it, but tillaz did recommend changing the TPT. So to them who didn't update boot, are you able to install any addons or themes?

Guest weaversbrook Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Could not get it to flash at all so I did this Option 2: 200MB system, 35MB cache, 205MB data mirror mirror Then flashed it as per instructions It out up a small screen saying flashing in blue then went to recovery I flashed v3 and all worked well. Thanks it is looking good hope it will wake up ok unlike the other versions for me. Happy new year. UPDATE still wont wake after sleep nice rom but not for me tried all versions all do the same back to stable Bluemonte cheers Edited January 1, 2012 by weaversbrook
Guest tillaz Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) @ tillaz Couldn't we use the 160MB system with 35MB cache that you said would be "perfect for atomic"? http://android.modac...ost__p__1874634 I guess the issue with it is this @ Others With people saying that the TPT issue is caused by the change to the older kernel in hope that it'd improve battery life I'd expect Atomic 1.6 to have the same installation error and require a custom TPT, but if 1.6 doesn't require a custom TPT then why does 3.0  I would think it has something to do with this instead: http://android.modac...ost__p__1875621 That was not included, I'm looking into this problem Edited January 1, 2012 by tillaz
Guest D3abL3 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Don't remove the boot flash procedure from the script or you'll be with the 2.5 kernel and not the new one. But if you do don't forget to "fastboot flash boot boot.img". Edited January 1, 2012 by D3abL3

Guest Losteiner Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Hi Tillaz Writing recovery partition... assert failed...write_raw_image("tmp/recovery.image". "recovery) E:error in /sdcard/atomic3.0.rzip (Status 7) Installation aborted. Pls give me a link for a new recovery... or a solution how to install this rom THX Edited January 1, 2012 by Losteiner
Guest D3abL3 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Kernel reported as 2.6.35.7 -perf? I don't know the kernel version used in 3.0 so I can't answer. But manually flashing will give you sure that it's done correctly.
Guest dadashi Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) has Darktremors sd-ext script been included or is link2sd still the sd-ext solution...? I've been spoilt having intergrated sd-ext and A2SDGUI..... Edited January 1, 2012 by dadashi

It is answered in several post above! http://android.modac...43#entry1876343 And why did you quote me if I may ask? P.S.: For those wondering why when toggling 2g/3g asks you for SU permissions under name radio that's because it is messing up with your device radio(network, RIL...) and since it's an app it needs to have permissions. Guest tillaz Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) new v3b will be up soon, i think the installation error could be because of the size of the boot.img anyway, iv changed & removed stuff i suspect to be draining the battery & causing problems stock ics battery mod finished uploading soon stock ics network icons mod also finished Edited January 1, 2012 by tillaz
Guest tillaz Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 @D3ABL3 any chance you can remove the zte logo from this http://minus.com/mF1rpjUDJ#1
Guest H3ROS Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Will the new version reduce the size of boot.img thus fixing installation issues or will the TPT mod still be required for 3b? And if it does fix the installation issues would you recommend people flash back the stock TPT or stick with the 200MB system / 35MB cache / 205MB data ?

Guest D3abL3 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 I'm on the 150sys,35cache,255data partition and installed without any issue. @tillaz: I think I have that ready tonight ;)
Guest Atomix86 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 I'm on the 150sys,35cache,255data partition and installed without any issue. @tillaz: I think I have that ready tonight Surely it didn't all fit though?
Guest D3abL3 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Surely it didn't all fit though? Oh yes, right, I needed to remove some apps and some media from system before install.
Guest D3abL3 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Tested on mine. boot.img You won't be using this kernel in any of your ROMs will you? It's not overclockable :/
