If v3 installed 3b should be fine but you might as well wait for 3c. You can always do a backup in CWM and restore it if you have problems.

Thanks for that, I didn't realize you could backup an existing rom and do a restore if it all goes wrong....sounds like a sensible option!

v3b has similar battery life to v2 and v2.5 -- my battery drained 60% overnight -- left with 38%

v3 has WAY better battery life -- battery usage is around 7-10% overnight... and i was able to use the phone around 1.5 days and be at 50% charge

Even 7-10% is too much.On atomic v3 I am losing no more than 1% battery, but I do switch to airplane mode when going to sleep.

On 3.0B I lose practically nothing when in screen off mode (coupled with SetCPU profile not going above 480mhz in this state), however with screen on it flies down at a ridiculous rate, like 25%+ an hour. I would say its the OC, but CM7 never did this, so darn confusing .

Is that with your modded 3b or the original Version3

I leave data on when I sleep, which is probably why... when I have airplane mode on, it's pretty similar results..

I configured tasker to turn off data (3G and wifi) at night when I'm home and turn it back on in the morning. I personally have no need for my phone checking email, twitter and such when I'm asleep.

Airplane mode is to drastic for me as I want to be available during the night in case of an emergency.

Am I the only person that puts their phone on charge during the night?

On the modded v3 by D3abL3

But its not to do with the rom,

I have the same on any rom,

Its all down to how you use/setup things.

ok, iv fixed stuff in v3c, you will really see better battery life now... totally changed the updater-script so the mods i made in v3b will actually work now lol

there should be no more install errors now that the boot.img is smaller

also i think iv finally got cache redirecting to data

app2sd & the gui will now work propperly

zipalign on boot

will upload it later on

EDIT: if you still think your battery is draining fast when on v3c i would go back to stock rom and check if it really is atomic..

because for me, i get the same crapy battery life on all roms these days for some reason..

when i first got the phone before unlocking battery life woz supper..

Hi tillaz,

I am running original V3 and I am happy with it, battery life seems fine, left on overnight with wifi and network on and it dropped about 10%.

Is there any real benefit if I upgrade to 3c?

Cheers

Nope, I charge mine overnight, but when I install a new rom, it's a good way to test idle battery usage...

v3 was actually really good on battery life, so don't think it is the phone... will give v3c a go later today :)

Thanks for all the hard work again tillaz.

@ tillaz

Did you have any luck with the 160MB TPT when using the battery mod? Now that the servers are back online I've applied it and it seems to work.

@ Dukelord

Keep in mind that this ROM is trying to theme itself like ICS and that thats the official boot animation for the Nexus, which I personally wouldn't want on a phone thats not the Nexus.

Hey I hope this site doesn't have a "no external links" policy. Can you please implement this bootscreen?

Original Nexus 720p Bootscreen

i leave the bootscreen stock so people can add there own

just open the .zip an drag & drop the bootanimation.zip to your desktop

then before flashing your rom open it up with winrar, go to system / media & drag & drop the bootanimation.zip here

flash your rom & you will have a new bootscreen
