EDIT:

Just so I don't make another post, would you say it'd be worth requesting the TPT?

yes, 160mb system 2mb cache would be perfect for atomic v3c

I'm not sure if it'd be worth using the 150MB version, but then is the cache going to the memory card? If it is then that could cause the card to degrade pretty quick and I would think it'd also reduce battery life. Just think of a laptop constantly having to pull data from a USB or external HDD, it drains the juice faster as it's constantly having to supply power to something extra.

http://en.wikipedia....ory#Memory_wear

its doing this on any tpt, don't worrie about memory cards degrading lol, it wont happen

Does it break anything if I take out the .apk's below from 3c before flashing?

docstogo.apk

It always tells me there's an upgrade but can never install it, so I shall add after thru Market

Extended_Controls.apk

Never really used it

wallpapers.apk

Does this just delete the example wallpapers or does removing it interfere with wallpaper use?

Browser.apk

I use Dolphin HD - Is it possible to just add that into the zip before flashing?

SetupWizard.apk

If we take this out can we just set our settings manually?

And what do these two do?

GenieWidget.apk

myriad_20110707_DLNA.apk

Thanks

You can remove docstogo, extended controls, genie widget and dlna. Genie widget is just news and weather, dlna is media share (i use neither and delete them as a matter of course and don't have any errors). I think you can remove the others you stated, but not sure on setup wizard.

Battery life of v3.c is amazing!!!!! I slept for 4 hours and on standby, battery went from 100% to 99%. Imagine that. Used it for 12 minutes on screen full bright and battery still at 100%. Dont know what kinda witchcraft is involved in this. :D Amazing again!!! Hey tillaz, do you accept donations through liberty reserve? Please look into it. I noticed one thing though, data connection trips off and I have to go to APN settings and activate again for it to come on. Doesn't happen all the time but you might wanna look into it just to be sure. You rock!!! *Respect* :)

TPTs completely wipe your phone anyway so don't worry :)

Yes you're right, I forgot that Tillaz changed to GO Launcher too, it was Go Launcher that confused me :)

I installed v3.c and it works like a charm except one issue which I even faced in ZTE official version and v3b but didnt face the problem in CyanaogenMod7. The issue is that while making a call and holding the phone close to the ear, the screen darkens and then you will not be able to press any button until the opposite called party ends the call.

Although power button ending the call is an option but that will not allow you to scroll through your contacts or put the phone on speakerphone or do anything else during the call.

I shifted from the offical version only for one reason " Battery", the battery life seems good in CM7 and Atomicv3c, but the problem of sensor exists in 3C, any plan to solve this? This will make the ROM perfect.

but not sure on setup wizard.

I have found that removing setup wizzard can sometimes give you the home key problem.

At least I think it is the culprit for that as it only happens to me if I remove setup wizzard before flashing.

Thanks for the replys - It seems that without losing anything important to me I can go to the 150mb system partition.

How about;

wallpapers.apk, and

livewallpapers.apk

May I remove these with affecting anything other than not having those particular walpapers?

Thanks

it just needs the proximity calibration done.. i dont even think it can be included in a rom to tell the truth, thats way CM7 has an app to do the calibration, i done it once and have never needed to do it again

flash this http://minus.com/mfrR6YqX4#1 then open the dialler & enter *983*0# scroll to the bottom & select censers & calibrate it

Now that you mention it I think you're right, CM9 has the home key problem when setup wizard isn't installed too.

this is a well known issue relating to the Proximity sensor, it seems that the calibration of the sensor is sometimes lost.

Attached is a small calibration program - just rename it without the .txt then install and run it (you need to copy it to your sd card then use Androzip pro to install it). In ZTEEmode Helper select the first option on the sceeen and then scroll down and select "Sensor" there you will see 4 sensor settings, the last of these is "Proximity" if you click on "calib" it will Calibrate the Proximity sensor which you can test in this app by simply covering the top of the phone (where your ear goes.).

Thanks for confirming it,thought I was going mad when I found it to be setup wizard because I cannot understand how it would affect home key.

Anyone know the relation between setup and home key function ?

2 things I've noticed the first one is specific to this rom , after installing any apps they always FC untill after rebooting,

and

In all the atomic roms since 2.0 , the email app always downloads old emails as well as the new ones, delete them and they get downloaded again , and I cant find anything in the settings to stop it happening,

Both not big issues but thought I'd mention it

I reinstalled Atomic 3c and apps no longer FC after installing , this time I didnt use Titanium to restore my apps , I restored them manually (although I had checked the backup before installing )

and as I have 173MB storage left I havent enable Link2sd,

need to ask this though

I'm using the 200MB system, 35MB cache, 205MB TPT, rom runs smooth and 173MB storage left is there any

benefits in using the 150MB or 160MB TPT's

Hi tillaz,

I have set my LCD density to 200dpi(big fan of this res)

It all looks great as usual except one little thing,it makes the blue circle at bottom of pull down go to one side.Do you know any quick fix I can do to correct it other than the obvious of returning to 240dpi

edit: setting to 210dpi fixes it.
