Guest solidslash Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Does anyone have any issues with any kind of compass apps? It always shows me some bullshit info, even after recalibrating it.
Guest fattymcdirty Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 -Stock kernel (should fix camera problem for Libra owners?) http://www.mediafire...j2h60hinfb28p05 ---------------------------------------------------------- where exactly does this kernel come from? i'm having severe signal loss problems with this rom using this specific stock kernel... i NEED to use this kernel due to a non working camera with your modded kernel... moreover: can i use this "stock kernel" with e.g. cm7 as of now? or is this kernel only related to stock roms? is no1 else having problems with signal loss? can't be... :/ with this issue, the phone is quite unusable cause you never know when your phone switches off signal (and data) when you're wearing it e.g. in your pocket... ANY suggestions are appreciated!

ANY suggestions are appreciated! That stock kernel is the one that comes with the original official ZTE Libra update package: http://wwwen.zte.com.cn/endata/mobile/Moldova/ It won't work with CM7. CM7 is VMSPLIT3G and this kernel is for VMSPLIT2G. You'd have to compile CM7 again to make it work with this kernel. Tom G has made a test build of CM7 for people with camera issues. I haven't had time to look into it, so I don't know what he has exactly done. It might be a compeletely different hardware issue, but if you want to use CM7 it's worth giving a try. I have only briefly tested the stock kernel. It kills my camera (can't connect to camera) and sometimes touchscreen comes unresponsive after sleep. I can't say if the signal loss is also somehow releated to that kernel. The official update package has been on the ZTE website for a month and a half now. It would be much easier for all of us if ZTE would release the kernel source code for the ZTE Libra as GPL license oblicates them. Edited October 27, 2011 by KonstaT

Guest Lasse. Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) Thank you KonstaT (and everyone who worked on code used on this ROM.) Installed it on my new ZTE Blade and it works really great! Haven't noticed any problems for now. set CPU to 122-710MHz & smartass V2-governor. Edited October 27, 2011 by Lasse.
Guest TheBrainKafka Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Hi Konsat, when will you post RLS5 including some minor bug fixes? Thx
Guest thomasboyd Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 I want to make this my default ROM for the ZTE blade but I need the volume boost fix otherwise I find the phone more or less unusable. No point having a phone you can't hear the ringtone of. Can it be included or is there anyway to install it ?

Logs (logcat and dmesg) could help find the possible problem. Also suggestion how to fix (and actual patches) are of course welcome. It's very difficult for me to do anything as I don't suffer from these problems. Hi Konsat, when will you post RLS5 including some minor bug fixes? Thx Soon. :) I want to make this my default ROM for the ZTE blade but I need the volume boost fix otherwise I find the phone more or less unusable. Guest KonstaT Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 sorry, what should i use, and how can i fix this problems? Just don't install the stock kernel add-on if you don't have problems with your camera (only some newer model Libras have that issue). Re-flashing the ROM should do it.

Guest c3n9 Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Just saw yet another astouding update, I'm impressed ;) Is this ROM smoother than 'Complete Android Experience' then? If so... I may be inclined to swap haha :D
Guest solidslash Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 KonstaT - thank you so much for the No Battery Mod. You're freaking awesome.

I may be inclined to swap haha :D Yeah, I'm on the same situation. Curious about that, and what do we win in changing... I'm on Monfro, that is based on CAE, and the ROM rullez. Unfortunatly, never more was updated... And I just can't understand why people turn of the CRT animation. Could you just do a version (just the same ROM, but...) with CRT on? I really like that effect... :D

So, yes it has CRT screen off animation. I only made the vanilla version because some people complained and said I'm not allowed to add nice features to my ROM.
Guest Vujke Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Maybe I am missing something big here...but this is the first rom (RLS3) so far that keeps WiFi connection on while in deep sleep - at least it seams so on my Blade! Is this actually possible, or is something keeping the Blade partially awake (although Home, Menu and Back do not bring the screen on)? This strange feat, coupled with seamless GPS performance, superb video recording quality, great stability etc...is keeping me glued to RLS3, as I am scared that I will again have to cope with Advanced Wifi Lock and the likes, and battery drain that it brings. So, if anyone has a clue about the WiFi working while in deep sleep - PLEASE ANSWER?
