Guest wavecxs Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 if it will help with your debugging...I have a perfectly working gps in 2.4.1 but when I intall and activate chainfire 3d gps ceases to work anymore. I repeated it twice.... flash 2.4.1 --> gps works. Install chainfire 3d --> gps gone.
Guest Stephen Hyde Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 yea i think the os is running out of ability to map librarys, so any more custom libs and its killing things off, so im probably going to do a build without arabic support but include a second zip to enable it but kill gps
Guest alert_bri Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Flash player crashes my browser whenever trying to play a video. Am I the only one? Help please? I'm using Dolphin Mini browser, and have zero problems... Beautifully smooth video. Cheers Brian

Guest aweAMsome Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Version 2.4.1 is the fastest, fps is much higher than later versions. Any chance retaining the performance on the next version.

Any chance retaining the performance on the next version. 2.4.2.2 started out a bit stuttery on the video update... but subsequently became super smooth... I'm guessing it took a few minutes for all the services to get started / cache to come into effect. I'm particularly impressed by the responsiveness of the SlideIt keyboard (better version of Swype imho) - absolutely smooth. If Steve can remove the arabic support, and this version comes good I'll be over the moon. Cheers Brian

Guest Stephen Hyde Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 removing the arabic support is simple, kjust working through adding craploads of langs at mo tho

Rest all ok .. another minor issue i wanted to report, ... whenever i use the Google Maps applications, the icon removes itself from the main screens. Plus, when i hit navigation directly from aps, it says, navigation not installed, but when i go through google maps, it works ... anybody else facing this too ?

Guest undrwater Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Anyone have a link to Voice Dialer (the google one) that works with these releases? The couple I have found FC after dictation.
Guest The Beast in Black Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 After flashing 2.4.2.2, I'm having a strange problem with the clock/time when the time is set to be got from the network... last night my phone lost a whole hour after 4 hours of uptime after flashing 2.4.2.2. Luckily, I got up in the middle of the night, checked the time and discovered it was a whole hour off, otherwise I would have been late for work since my phone is my primary timepiece/alarm :) I notice that when set to network time, it seems to lose about 15 minutes every hour. It seems to keep track of time well if i set the time manually and disable updating the time from the network. Has anyone else seen the same problem with this ROM? My locale is US English, and my timezone is PDT.
Guest Spencershaun Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 search it on the market m8 there is a update Anyone have a link to Voice Dialer (the google one) that works with these releases? The couple I have found FC after dictation.

Guest Technomenon81 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Strange thing is that with my 1.0 and 1.1 roms (based on 2.4 and 2.4.1 kernel), all works fine.....also CRT animation...Bah!.. I did like your customization of Stephen and Fards' roms, but I can't stand the old market. I haven't been over to XDA in a few days, have you changed this recently?
Guest Technomenon81 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 if it will help with your debugging...I have a perfectly working gps in 2.4.1 but when I intall and activate chainfire 3d gps ceases to work anymore. It was running rock solid last night, easily switching between wifi and data (although I didn't try gps prior to installation) and today I'm having the same old issues were even my data connection drops and won't reconnect without a reboot.
Guest Crinos512 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 I for one can't wait til the release of GingerStreak 2.4.2.2.1... :D
