Guest The Beast in Black Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) Yes I have experienced this. I use clocksync from the market to keep it on track. Thanks for the info, Papi-jj. I'll keep your advice in mind if I install 2.4.2.2 again, but for the time being I'm flashing back to 2.4.1 because I notice that I seem to not be receiving texts as well... my girlfriend is a tad upset that I seem to be incommunicado :P EDIT: Just noticed the 2.4.3 link, I'll try that out before reverting to 2.4.2.2 Edited October 27, 2011 by The Beast in Black
Guest ShinyBallBoy Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks Steve, everything is working fine. The thing i miss the most is the CRT animation, and this should be explicative about the stableness of the rom - the amazing fact is that it is still labeled as a beta ;) Impressive work, thank you so much, i cant wait to see what you're going to cook once ICS source is out B)

Guest nedian05 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 How can I install the lattest Dell stage widgets? I tried installing the apk found on xda forum but nothing changed.
Guest streak5 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 (edited) Fellow forum member TheManii over on xda just informed that offical Dell 406 ROM is out for Olleh: "Like title says: Official GB 406 is out, changes in apps are minimal, only the upgrade to GB 2.3.3 As this is a carrier rom, it is heavily branded to olleh kt. It is also somewhat locked down unmodified. If you are on SD 2.4 you will not gain much at all from upgrading. Contents: Version: 2.3.3/GRI40Build date: Oct 20, 2011Stage UI: 1.5 Install Instructions: (See Dell Streak Flashing Guide - XDA Wiki)Flash a region 14 recovery, such as recovery - 350Copy update 406 pkg to sdcard and rename to 'update.pkg'Go into recovery modeFollow onscreen instructionsFinished(Optional:) Reinstall Streakmod(Optional:) Root with Superuser.zip" This maybe useful to Stephen. I am staying with DJ_Steve's ROM, however. :) Edited October 27, 2011 by streak5

Guest streak5 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 By the way, Steve's 2.4.3 ROM rocks!
Guest marvin02 Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Do you need a mirror for the files? I would be happy to provide one.
Guest Tungsifu Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Hot dam homie...puttin in work thanks Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk
Guest zAm1987 Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 (edited) Installed 2.4.3. + GPS working + great (German) language support + new lockscreen style (looks somewhat diferent?!) + "old" music app, so no more bugs with the new one - still some old google apps (maps, market, voice search). Not a big problem because they are updating anyway, but atm I'm always including them in your rom before flashing - superuser and busybox old version, too. I'm also replacing them before flashing No bugs found yet, seems to be a great rom. Thanks ;) Edited October 28, 2011 by zAm1987
Guest Tsaxmafia Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Can I flash 2.3.4 over top 2.3.2 with a cache and dalvik wipe without a factory reset?
Guest bTrue Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 (edited) Can I flash 2.3.4 over top 2.3.2 with a cache and dalvik wipe without a factory reset? That's what I did, and I haven't had any issues. I say its worth a try. Worst case scenario, you can always reflash and factory reset later. :) Edited October 28, 2011 by bTrue
Guest wavecxs Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Thanks for the update Stephen. Confirmed gps issue fixed with 2.4.3. About chainfire 3d: gps is guaranteed to break when i install the open gl driver. Uninstall opengl and gps works again. It's a tough choice between gps and chainfire opengl as i use gps often and have several tegra games that i like playing, but i guess this is how it's going to be for me. To play tegra games install opengl, when it's time to use gps uninstall opengl.. I am not really expecting a solution soon as i think there are only a few chainfire users here just mentioning this so you might have a clue to improve your already wonderful ROM.... but a fix won't hurt though :-) could be similar to having the arabic patch and not break the gps. Once again... Thanks!
Guest angel008 Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Got the news about the official GB Rom for Olleh but still prefer to use Steve's Rom....
Guest Slaydog Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 I'm patiently waiting for version 2.4.3.1.4.1.5.9...... I am holding my breath and squeezing my butt cheeks together until release 2.5.3.8.9.2.4.9.4.7b4
Guest streak5 Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 The next big update from Stephen will probably be based on this Olleh ROM. There may be some parts in it he can find useful.
Guest kev24k Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Gps works and facebook doesn't fc but twitter still does once logged in. Good work
