Buy Xperia Play now or wait for another?

Hey there. I currently have a T-mobile Pulse which is seriously showing its age so I'm thinking of upgrading, however I'm not sure what to/when. I'd be open to spend up to £200 at once, or a contract of £15-20 with a smaller upfront fee, so obviously I'm not expecting anything stellar. With the recent massive price drop ('sale') of the Xperia Play on O2 at £150 I'm wondering whether I should go for this, or wait a while. I'd be up for waiting until earlyish next year (april or so maybe?) if its likely I'll get a better deal by then, but will other similar/better phones be down in this price range by then or is this going to be the best deal for quite a while? I know there are no guarantees but any opinion/better deals would be good!
