i have been trying to mount my samsung story 1.5tb which it appears to do but it doesnt show any files?

Also noticed an error message when doing this which said i have a damaged sd card? its a brand new 32gig sandisk. Is this a glith or is something wrong with it how can i check? if i were to format it what is the best process and can i simply copy all the stuff off the card and paste it back onto the crd after it has been formatted

1 What rom are you running on your vega

2 have you switched into host mode

3 where are you looking for the drive ? mnt/usb/systemusb ?

4 I think the sdcard is a reference to external storage as when I unplug my samsung s1 it warns me that I removed the sdcard without dismounting (strangely it doesn't allow me to mount using the drivemount app but I can still access files via a filemanager app) so just describes all devices as sdcards

1 vegacomb 9n update 3

2 yes via shuttle tools

3 yes there

4 so you just think the warning is just a glitch?

the hdd is also powered off mains if that would make any difference?

Yup think the sdcard report is relating to the drive rather than your card.

What file system is the samsung formatted to ?

Got any smaller drives to experiment with ?

Hey I get the same issue on occasion. There's 2 things that work for me.

1)Disconnect USB, switch back to peripheral then back to HOST. Ensure HDD is fully spinning and connect USB.

2)Turn the vega off. Plug in the USB, ensure the HDD Has fully spun into action the. Turn on the vega and switch to host.
